Let's all stop for a sec & give credit & praise to Coach Teryl Austin for acknowledging his short coming as a coach with his displacement with Minkah last season all while telling us he's going to let our fav Safety get back to being "Minkah" this is the best defensive news I've heard all off season, music to my ears!! Defense is going to be fun to watch!! Stay tuned!!

Why doesn't anyone ask him how he's going to defend the middle of the field better?
He did if you read between the lines! He said we are better at MLB and he will be making sure that Minkah is consistently playing the middle instead of a Okie role. (Okie= FS or SS rotating up on the line while the other is opposite)
Maybe they should ask tomlin the dude who actually controls the defense

Facts! Middle of the field is ALWAYS open on long downs. I hate it and wonder the same thing. Players, play but coaching and scheme is what puts them in the right position.
@@EazyMoney804if you knew the steelers like the rest youd know tomlin has a say in the defense until this year where hes being forced to lay off. Hes ALWAYS had a say in the defense
Teryl Austin was fired as the Defensive coordinator for the Bengals a few years back after his defense became the FIRST UNIT EVER to give up 500 yards of offense back to back to back games. This was a DEI hire from the start. Never the best man for this job. But this is the practice of our team nowadays so nothing is surprising anymore.
