I'm looking to do both F2P & P2P, but I just figured F2P guides might be a bit easier to develop to start out with for my channel. 😅 Turns out there is quite a few F2P methods... 😅
Something I've noticed while training on the giant frogs in the swamp is that most of the other people training there leave the big bones on the ground instead of picking them up. So if you want you can just go look for a world with a really crowded swamp and just run around picking up the big bones people leave lying around, it's much faster than killing the frogs yourself and much less work as well. Though it only works for non Ironmen.
This can be done at hill giants in the edgeville dungeon as well, although you'll need decent armor or a high enough combat to make them non-aggressive
I really liked the Camdozal method. Its afk reliant. I spent nearly 3 hours farming Wine of Zamorak after getting broke from buying rune armour and weapons. Its a nice relaxation now. Thanks you Lumbridge Knight.
So I started a group iron man with friends, and fell into the wilderness boneyard, no world hopping cause they respawn pretty quick. Got to 20 prayer and wondered if there was a better way. Pretty awesome to see the same method in this video. That was worth a sub.

Good question 🤔 unfortunately for ironmen there isn’t a lot of choice… I use the fishing in the ruins of Camdozaal a lot because it’s kinda afk (only needs a few clicks at a time). Giant frogs are pretty good too if you are training combat skills as they drop big bones 🦴
Amazing vid, again! I ended up killing a few thousand hill giants for keys at the same time as big bones since i was raising prayer for obor anyway. Lol. Cheers
with you double client hopping method, you can begin to log into you account a few seconds before you log out. you have until that next screen login screen loads to log out basically

Another thing to add onto The Combat Method: At sufficient combat level and gear, I recommend going to Hill Giants. Not only do they drop Big Bones, but they also drop other useful items such as Limpwurt Roots, Runes, Arrows, and more. If you need food, have a Flying Fishing Rod and Feathers in your Backpack and exit to go fish for Raw Salmon and Trout across the river for Fishing and Cooking XP. The only downside to this method is Hill Giants are a very crowded spot in Free-to-Play worlds for people in Melee, Ranged, and Magic gear.
That’s a great idea Syberian! Especially useful if you are an Ironman those extra drops might help a lot later on! Also worth remembering that there’s some Hill Giants in Al’kharid too! One of the guys in the chat reminded me about it recently 😅 I’d totally forgotten about the ones over there! I’ll add his name to the post when I find it.
I’ve been playing rs since 2004. Highly recommend ice giants near port sarim where you get bluerite they deagrro so you can stay there forever. Other options. Ice giants at wilderness and use prayer run down to chaos altar to replenish prayer slower xp wouldn’t recommend but it’s an option.
I used to slay Hill Giants in F2P in Lvl 19 Wilderness way east of Ferox enclave (just south of Black Salamanders hunting spot). There's nothing else to do in that spot, so you're pretty alone there and if a PKer shows up, you can either teleport out quickly or just run to the ditch. You have a better chance at getting Giant's key there too, if you're planning on taking on Obor.
HCIM can actually make great use of burying the bones in the wilderness, but only if theyre fresh off tutorial island (so you just start over if you die), or if theyre hundreds of hours in and have 80+ preferably 90+ defense and magic with bis gear and bis food. Not wanting to bother with farming the wildy for prayer and gold is why my f2p hcim is also no wilderness.
Yeah agreed if your fresh into the game it’s probably the first thing to do, that and a tone of steel leg runs too! If you’re not unlucky and don’t get killed you’ve then got some good starter cash and prayer xp 👌

For the frogs or even giants, go to popular worlds where people are not picking up the big bones. Collect fast, kill slow. Great prayer only method xp.
Really liked the guide. However, you did forget the safespotting Greater Demons in the Northwest wilderness. It's dangerous, but rewarding since it's all Vile Ashes and Burnt Bones with other loot sprinkled in.

So even if you want to fight them you can have your prayers on indefinitely! Plus like you say vile ashes are pretty good prayer XP in F2P, plus Rune Full Helms a gd drop too! 👌
What a dumb thing to mention. Not only do you have to use about 4 running potions to get to the nearest bank to drop off the burnt bones you collect (assuming you mean to sell them, if you mean to bury them they are only 4-5xp prayer) next lets tackle collecting vile ash. Well you could use magic to kill the greater demon (so that will cost a good bit of money) you could fight them melee (free but also need to be able to fight at lvl 92 demon) So, lets go back to {making money} if you collect the burnt bones and take them back to the bank, an energy pot is 388gp and a burnt bone sells for 344gp. Unless you don't plan on running to the closet bank you're losing money vs making.
Coming from members, burying bones like this hurts my soul. It's the OG way to train prayer, but members prayer training is like 30x faster and far cheaper. I know that's not the point, but yeah. Great video nevertheless. I have never once seen that world hopping technique with two instances of runelite open and I'm glad I watched the whole video to find it. It would be great for buying from shops faster, I'm shocked I've never seen an osrs video of that before (and I've watched hundreds).

I totally agree burying bone in F2P is a painful process… I remember when you used to be able to get dragon bones in free… Those were the days… Multiple instances is very click intensive which I think is why people avoid it, plus it wasn’t possible to open multiple RS windows back in the day, you could only have 1 😅 in all honesty I think I said it at the end of the video but the fastest way for a none-iron F2P player would be to save some coins buy a bond go to members and buy dragon bones 😂 Thanks again for the comment! 👍👍👍
I had a super chill remote customer service job and for like 6 months all day every day especially during work I’d just do the camdozaal method and it was hilarious to troll people on cw with combat level 6 and overhead prayers

I ended up farming the unique Lesser demon can be found in the basement of Melzar's Maze, and is fought during the Dragon Slayer I quest. It drops Vile ashes each time and is really easy to safe spot with magic or range. Melee too if you know how to use the safe spot on the west side of the pink door.

The comment about frogs not being usuable for skilling pures seems extremely weird to me, the main purpose of a skilling pure is to stay at lv 3, probably about 5-10 prayer levels would get you past 3. Although I think long ago I did see somewhere around a level 10 or something with protect from magic prayer.

Another method which I found is killing hill giants using a ranged weapon to maximize space and pick up bones, coins, and limpwurt roots. I would sell the roots on the ge, then use that money to buy vile ashes for f2p.

I would say another good tip for the ashes/big bones method is to use mobile. Similar to making darts in fletching, it's easier and faster because you don't need as much travel time, and fatigue isn't as big of a worry.

@@TheLumbridgeKnight The demon ruins just recharge your prayer when you're near them. Once you unlock protect from melee, you can just march up there in priest robes and silverlight (or a rune weapon if you have the level for it). Protect from melee should keep you safe even while meleeing them. There are also burnt bones you can pick up there in between kills.
Oh yeah... Not a challenge for the fair of heart. Honestly if you have the money/effort to do prayer f2p, you may as well put the effort into making money buying a bond and doing it in P2P with dragon bones... 😅
F2P is a brutal experience after about level 40… prayer and Runecrafting are particularly painful. My personal stance is just get those skills to 40 and stop. If you want to train them to 99 members is much more time efficient if you can afford the subscription. 😬

So I been playing since 04 for I just recently made a f2p pure mage I remember dragon bones and praying at alter with bones was f2p guess not anymore 😢 just mods are making it hard on us now days
Hmm 🤔 not 100% sure off the top of my head I think it’s an option in the square markers plugin to enable respawn timers, but let me check the game and get back to you 👍
Sorry for the hugely late reply to this, I did take a picture to remind me to answer, soo the plugin is called: 'NPC Indicators' and the respawn timer option is a tickbox at the bottom, you also have to type in the NPC's name in the 'NPCs to Highlight' box too, so like if you are killing goblins, you put 'goblin' in the box. Hope that helps man!
The limitations of F2P hit me like a truck hitting a obsidian wall, I tried getting through those P2W border walls, wasting a 15 minutes, which felt very long 😅
It is certainly tough going past level 50 and runecrafting is physically painful… 😅 I generally recommend new players do F2P up to dragon slayer and if they like the game then go members. Members can be a bit overwhelming when you first get going… I do have a soft spot for F2P reminds me of the good old days 😂😂😂 not being able to con my parents out of £3 a month for membership 😂😂😂

It’s a great way to start an account. I’m not sure if I want to fully commit to an Ironman just yet….It’s absolutely insane you have to pay for a membership per-character.
That’s not really what I said though is it? I said if you’re willing to spend the money at the GE on big bones and ashes. It would actually be cheaper and quicker to buy a bond and then buy dragon bones and get 99 in members that way. Even at current prices it’s 50mil cheaper and 20 hours quicker.
Yo man the issue with the bondyard is that it’s on 2 game squares so that’s kinda 2 agro zones the best way it to just wait around in the area for 10-15 minutes or if you have the combat level just kill anything that attacks you. I think if you cross from the bottom to the top though you might get the agro again 🤔😅

Use every lamp, book, and other exp items on prayer. It adds up to a lot
Yeah Prayer and Runecrafting are the slowest to train. And Prayers definitely more useful than Runecrafting. 👍

Best way is to fish with a small net prepare and offer at the altar under the ice mountain after the below ice mountain quest

I would say another good tip for the ashes/big bones method is to use mobile. Similar to making darts in fletching, it's easier and faster because you don't need as much travel time, and fatigue isn't as big of a worry.
Yo CODE_Abyss! That’s a fair point! Definitely something you can set up on the go and do on your mobile! 😅 I trained my HCIM’s Agility pretty much exclusively on mobile… did 5 minutes each morning while I was doing planks 😂👍

@@TheLumbridgeKnight The demon ruins just recharge your prayer when you're near them. Once you unlock protect from melee, you can just march up there in priest robes and silverlight (or a rune weapon if you have the level for it). Protect from melee should keep you safe even while meleeing them. There are also burnt bones you can pick up there in between kills.
Skilling pures should not do any of these. Prayer will give you combat levels

Oh yeah... Not a challenge for the fair of heart. Honestly if you have the money/effort to do prayer f2p, you may as well put the effort into making money buying a bond and doing it in P2P with dragon bones... 😅
100h of active clicking after spending several millions on bones...no shot.
F2P is a brutal experience after about level 40… prayer and Runecrafting are particularly painful. My personal stance is just get those skills to 40 and stop. If you want to train them to 99 members is much more time efficient if you can afford the subscription. 😬

Hmm 🤔 not 100% sure off the top of my head I think it’s an option in the square markers plugin to enable respawn timers, but let me check the game and get back to you 👍

Sorry for the hugely late reply to this, I did take a picture to remind me to answer, soo the plugin is called: 'NPC Indicators' and the respawn timer option is a tickbox at the bottom, you also have to type in the NPC's name in the 'NPCs to Highlight' box too, so like if you are killing goblins, you put 'goblin' in the box. Hope that helps man!

F2P is horrible
The limitations of F2P hit me like a truck hitting a obsidian wall, I tried getting through those P2W border walls, wasting a 15 minutes, which felt very long 😅
It is certainly tough going past level 50 and runecrafting is physically painful… 😅 I generally recommend new players do F2P up to dragon slayer and if they like the game then go members. Members can be a bit overwhelming when you first get going… I do have a soft spot for F2P reminds me of the good old days 😂😂😂 not being able to con my parents out of £3 a month for membership 😂😂😂

It’s harsh but teaches you the basics and reminded me of the old days, scraping some cash together for a scimitar from zeke while the al Kharid music blasts your ears haha
Haha good old Zeke, I love the sound track. That’s one thing I hate when recording videos I have to cut the music from the clip and add it back in later so it’s better to just record with no game sound 😢

That’s not really what I said though is it? I said if you’re willing to spend the money at the GE on big bones and ashes. It would actually be cheaper and quicker to buy a bond and then buy dragon bones and get 99 in members that way. Even at current prices it’s 50mil cheaper and 20 hours quicker.

how do i drop aggro in boneyard
Yo man the issue with the bondyard is that it’s on 2 game squares so that’s kinda 2 agro zones the best way it to just wait around in the area for 10-15 minutes or if you have the combat level just kill anything that attacks you. I think if you cross from the bottom to the top though you might get the agro again 🤔😅
