Has everyone one forgotten what happened for 95% of the season? It took until the final 4 games before Ten Hag decided to plug the huge hole that had been obvious from our opening game v Wolves. We were bottom of an easy Champions League group with just 4 points from 6 games. Our defence of the Carabao Cup, finished early. Our worst PL finish with most defeats, most goals conceded, lowest finish and a negative goal difference. Just as one swallow doesn't make a summer, one win doesn't repair the fact that when 4th place was a genuine possibility, we went on a run of winning only 2 of 8 league games in Dec and January? What about the victories we threw away against the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool, Brentford, etc. Five games ago, we were annihilated by Palace. Fans should not be goldfish and base decisions on the most recent result. If we did, he'd have been hounded out after conceding 6 goals in 45 minutes v Liverpool, last season. That, though, was an aberration. This season has been one of consistency, but not in a positive way.
Coventry were more dangerous than City, KdB pocketed, Haaland pocketed, Doku mostly pocketed, Foden, Silva and Rodri same. Fucking FA Cup champions of the fucking world!!!!

Injuries ARE an excuse especially for the type of football eth is trying to play. Our starting point is still not enough technical fit and pacy players and intelligent players. In my view his key players have been licha, Varane Shaw Bruno Casemiro rashy. This season all of these players have been largely missing due to injuries and drop off in form. And they need each other. Rashy needs shaw who needs licha who needs Varane. So then there has to be an expected drop off.
We saw today that when 4 of those 6 play - licha Varane disciplined rashy and Bruno play we significantly improved
Ten hag needs better medical and fitness and better recruitment and overall structure like Ajax then he will improve next season
With him I can see us winning europa league
The premier league is much harder because as Cam said we need more and better suited players. I think Top 4 will still be a big ask next season as we have 7 other teams going for 4 places. I think this is not impossible as we did it last year but more realistic is 2 seasons down the line
