    I'm not kidding, I've never cried so much during a movie in my entire life, and that is saying something because I don't really cry at all when watching a film. And not just of the sad parts but also because it was so beautiful at times. I swear I've cried through 3/4 of the movie

    I honestly didn’t really cry at this movie. The only moment that really hit me was when the grandpa was talking to her as she was in coma. It was hard to feel the pain of one event while there were flashbacks to other events that were less sad. I think i had to read the book first to be able to cry at this movie :’)

    I feel like people really need to watch the movie to understand how sad it is. I cry about everything, but I got a headache from crying so much from watching this. It isnt just a love story. It's about her family. And that's the parts you're going to mainly cry about. Hence the end with her boyfriend. Which I was half crying, half disappointed.

    This might be the only time in my entire life where I can say with full confidence that a movie is more perfect than the book. The movie captures some sort of elegance and beauty that the book lacks, and I can say with certainty that the movie actually has a whole place in my heart, so much more so than the book ever had. It's that beautiful.

    • @melizapayne01
      @melizapayne01 6 місяців тому +1

      Yes I agree the movie was beautiful but not better then the book. I didn’t like that in the movie the parents died apart…. In the book it states they wanted to go together so they literally took that away from them.

    I've never cried as much as I did during this movie. I think the director was very clever in his casting of Mia's parents; they were, to me, the most lovable characters in the entire story, with their laid back attitude and humor. It makes you think of adults you love to be around. And it also makes you think of any adults you've lost. When the parents were announced dead, that was the first heartbreak of the story. The story was ultimately about choices and how they will affect the scheme of life; it is not a love story, even if it appears as one. The fact that Mia would constantly be tempted by "the light" at the hospital was also painful, with every horrible event pushing her to walk towards it. I thought the movie was a masterpiece.

    Here after loosing a class mate suddenly a similar way she almost died. The story is very unclear but received a text Sunday evening from his best friend that he had been in a severe accident earlier that day. I guess he wasn't wearing a seat belt in a jeep that had no doors and somehow was ejected. Not sure if they were mudding or if it was a highway or what. No other cars were Involved He ended up cracking his skull and was airlifted to a trauma center. At some point not sure if it was at scene, in the helicopter, or in the hospital but he lost his pulse, went into a traumatic cardiac arrest for a long time. Eventually they did get a pulse back but he was in a coma, and the cardiac arrest didn't help the head injury and caused severe brain damage. The next morning (on Monday) he was pronounced brain dead. He was taken into surgery that afternoon for an organ donation. I was at part of his funeral yesterday. Drive safely (even at low speeds) and say your prayers to marrow is not promised. The kid was just 17 years old.

    Are we supposed to root for Mia and Adam? Because all I saw in their romance was just a silly crush that can easily be mistaken with love. Sure I wanted her to wake up, but to persue her own dreams, and to be with what's left of her family. Not to end up shackled to a guy that clearly wasn't her true love, or even her second best.

Like her mom says life is this thing where always when you choose something you might be without another kkk so i believe she chose wisely, even if that was a bit unconscious.

      Conteúdo Traduzido I felt the ending, from a mile away. And I've never felt this disinterested from a movie couple before. And I hope Adam was not the reason she woke up.
