I actually did have jehovah witness at my door, i was humble and polite and respectful, but did ask who did they say Jesus is and they said the son of God. To which i said, the Bible says Jesus is God. They disagreed but i told them the verses you read tonight AND Genesis 1 and the verses where God said…….they couldnt wait to get away quick enough, i was ready, God was with me, they had no comeback. I just hope they go home and read those verses in the privacy and quiet of their own homes and God reveals Himself to them. God bless

I don't think we can fully comprehend the trinity. Jesus is God period. He came as the son, but if he always was (which I believe and appears to be said in the Bible) then how can he just be designated the son of God alone ? Like I said, I think it's beyond our comprehension for now until revealed which coincides with Isaiah 55:8-9 as far as I'm concerned.
I grew up in that cult. I'm a born again now and can say how much more The Word makes sense when you believe in a Triune God. I'm so grateful you stood up to their lies.
Wide Awake. Yes, they believe Jesus is really the Angel Michael. To quote their reasoning, "A Son of God." We should pray they come to know the Lord Jesus for Whom the Bible says He is.

I was raised a Jehovahs witness & no longer there- I beg everyone to please pray that when one comes to your door you show them Jesus in you- They have been lied to & the fear of their family & friends cutting them off is real- Jesus teaches us in The Word that this is to be to follow Him- Pray & let The Holy Spirit guide you for them to see the truth💙

Happens also in other religions just light dismissal and light rejection.

The whole of scripture tells us there is one God. If we are honest, we know we are sinful and imperfect. (dead in our sins, separated from God).
The Bible is God’s revelation to us
Philippians two verse seven tells us that Jesus emptied himself and became a man (a servant).
The Bible tells us all the call on the name (power and authority) of the lord, will be saved.
Salvation(Bing accepted by God) is a gift he gives us in the Bible reveals that there is three persons, but one god.
God’s best on our quest for absolute truth
It was god’s plan to come into this universe as a human to ransom himself for those he loved.
My goodness. The scriptures referenced in this sermon pierced through my bones.. Such powerful revelation of the deity of Christ. Thank you for this word.

Jesus always will be. He is eternal, immutable, omnipotent omniscient omnipresent unending with no beginning or end unchanging faithful absolute truth absolute goodness et al
Among others, omnipotent? Who knows the day and hour of the end of this world??? Neither the angles nor the son but ONLY The father!! No Jesus is all knowing.

Starting with John's gospel, i got to verse 5 at was stopped by the word light.....
Pulling out my lexicon i found the explanation and was so intrigued i had to find out more.

I'm Penticostal by denomination. Not one renowned for deep scriptural study. I'm blessed to have a great teacher as a pastor.
In saying that though, the deconstruction of the text to suck out the marow (which is where the goodness lays) is in short supply.
Your study of the first 5 verses has not only captured me. It has drawn me 'into the Light' in a new and deeply satisfying way.
In other words....in to worship.

Something to think about: God is all powerful. He created us in His image. We have a body, a mind, and a spirit. We are a trinity, just as He is; but, we are not all powerful. Not a difficult concept to understand at all.
One other comment (but certainly not a criticism).
When referencing the trinity, you mentioned the Holy Spirit almost in passing.
God is indivisible Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
All present and active in creation.
And also present and active today.
Please ensure you you don't reduce the Holy Spirit to just a force.
The Holy Spirits (God's abiding presence here on earth) is still THE LIGHT.

That Jesus Christ is or was God but God couldn't come to man in his natural form so he came in a uniform to save his people
pretty good ! but its not True that this book doesnt reflect the old testament of the Jews .. look only to the beginning.. in the beginning .. same opening text as Genesis.. he talking about the jews did this and that when Jesus was a jew himself . i smell a little bit of replacement theology.. the rest i like .. thank you
