Just got the Red/White version a week ago. Absolutely perfect for in city and dirt road riding. Love the feel of this bike: responsive, zippy, chunky and so smooth to ride for the type of bike it is. Absolutely love it and super impressed with Royal Enfield - a brand I’d only been cursorily aware of prior to researching this bike for purchase.
Scram 411 has automatic engine kill function which activates when side stand is down. You can't engage gears with side stand down. The engine gets killed. That's safety.

I actually like the Scram a lot, but the Himalayan just comes with more practical equipment at a similar cost. If the Scram came with a centre stand at least it would be a bit more even, if they could give it tubeless wheels then even better. Also the Scram seat is much better than the Himalayan's!
Yeah this is it - I do prefer the idea of the Scram but the Himalayan comes ready within more equipment that I'd want to install on the bike anyway. I'd take a Himalayan with a 19" front wheel, tubeless would be ideal too!
Had the xt 550 Yamaha 145 kilos about 38, 40 hp in black the scram 411 is a nice bike but heavier and underpowered make it 500 cc and 35hp then I'll buy it.

I have one here in Colombia and a 6 speed would have been amazing for the extra range in the mountains especially when I have a passenger. Also It feels like it has no torque and the gears are too long compared to the 12 other bikes I've owned. Now thinking about it I wonder if the sprockets were changed since I bought it used with 4km but it had a lot of extras on it.
