Me too, after Stay What You Are.. I gave up, and I don't care for anything after Stay What You Are. I added some demos from this band on my channel. And I got some more to post as well. Hope you can past the good word around.
I have the flyer for this show. Jim Stormtrooper gave it to me, via US mail with his 'zine, I thiiiiiiiiiink. Or in person at one of the Chicago Fests at the hall they always rented out. We had an 'sXe vs non-edge' soccer game across the street. Remember, you teetotalers LOST! God, I love the early 2000s! Almost as fun as being a 90s hardcore kid. Or a skinhead in the late 80s! Or a new punk in the early 80s!
I remember buying 'Cant Slow Down' on CD in 1998-99 just before TBC came out. Now I am almost 40 and I still believe CSD is in many ways better than TBC... and no, its not Lifetime. Lifetime is fucking amazing (actually better than Saves the Day IMHO), but 'Cant Slow Down' is perfection in its own glory.
Does ANYONE have any info on the unreleased song that they play right after the I'll Melt With You cover?? They play the same song in another video from another show from early 98
I can't get the video to load here at work - but I specifically remember on this tour, and at a show before this (The Rat w/ Ten Yard Fight) - They were covering Cro Mags either right before, or after the Modern English cover. Might be that?
Nope, I'm very familiar with the cro mags and I would have recognized it in an instant ( I have seen footage of them opening a set with the "we gotta know" intro) The song they're playing is just a new song at the time that never made it to a record. There's 2 new songs from this era that I'd love to get info on.
It's 2020 now. 22+ years from this. I'm going to warp back there asap and tell Chris to just keep the faith! His skin will clear up, he'll get laid, his band will blow up and record a dozen albums. Full circle, the band will be begged to ONLY play THESE songs! Watch, you'll see; 2017/2018/2019.....
This certainly appears to be the original line up. The bass player, Sean, left the band after they recorded "Can't Slow Down" due to being diagnosed with cancer, which he, unfortunately, passed away from.
Took me back 15 years. Still holds up to this day. Love the first 2 saves the day albums!
Fuck yea home slice!!

Holy shit! this is the only video I have ever seen with Anthony Anastasio playing guitar. This is before Dave Soloway! What a jewel!!
I’m so happy I found this channel, I was at some of these shows, lived down the street on Fullerton n Cicero.
1998. Audience was not ready for this epicness.

It’s crazy this bass player only had 6 more years to live
Sad huh?
what happened to him?
I've never heard a snare have such a loud ping

If i ever win millions they can play older albums at my place
I wonder what that cute girl in the front row, with the backpack, is up to these days lol
who is the drummer here?
Bryan
This was my 9th birthday. I wasn't there, but I ducking should have been. Stupid 9 year old me, Idiot!
Dude he screams like its some thrash or punk
this crowd is making me so mad
The Midwest In the 90s was more reserved. People didn’t go too crazy except at maybe raging HC shows
the kids in this video are like 40 now :(
is this original former ?
huh?
Robert Geddens i mean these guys are original member right?
I'm not sure if all are original members. I'm pretty sure this was their 1st US tour (I know it was for Bane).
Robert Geddens why they're all leave Chris Conley? did u know dat?
This certainly appears to be the original line up. The bass player, Sean, left the band after they recorded "Can't Slow Down" due to being diagnosed with cancer, which he, unfortunately, passed away from.
