Man you create very unique and beautiful videos! Definitely deserves more views. Your quality of everything you do is so fresh! I never usually leave comments on any videos I watch, but these are just so informative. You gained a new subscriber. Keep it up bro!
Pheng Vang hell yeah bro this comment made my day and thank you! I’m trying my best to add value and approach videos from a different angle! I’m glad you noticed 🙏🏻🙏🏻
I personally like shooting action in 24fps but with a faster shutter speed, handheld, around 1/100. It gives it a filmic, gritty, crisp look and gets rid of the motion blur as well. I occasionally go 60fps/120fps as well but only for a handful of shots per shoot, when I know there's something really cool that I should focus on.
Steve K definitely going to work on it! Like I said as long as I’m able to I’m going to do my best. I have to focus on the shoots so not as much can go into them as I’d like!
One of the most underrated channels on UA-cam. The algorithm is clearly broken for your views and subs to not be way higher. Thanks for another great video. Keep up the epic content bud. (and a video on your approach with clients would be awesome, also maybe more info on your mistakes you made while getting into the industry you mention toward the end of this video). Cheers bro.
yo ive been waiting for this video all week, what a great job man i really hope you keep doing more sport videos, that shoulder rig is golden and so affordable! btw matching the BTS with the same time live view was badass! keep em coming!
What focus mode did you use for the mitt work, I love your recording style and the way you used the transitions. I'm still an amateur videographer and I struggle with the focus modes with fast-moving action.
Hey Daniel, for action sports or anything with fast motion if I'm using a camera with AF like the sonys I like using Autofocus on Zone and then using the dial to change the area of the zone for where my talent is at!
Dope video bro, I enjoyed the parts showing the movements and the outcome side by side. This is something that should be shown more during tuts imo and wish more people would incorporate this into their videos.
Great video. Thanks for the insight! I’ve got to come up with a film setup for an instructors giving a martial arts seminar. Any tips on what FPS to film the main shot in? It’s gonna be a standard composition on a tripod with no cuts. 30 FPS? 60 FPS? Thanks!
Really enjoyed this video. I shoot on the A7iii and do high paced sports videos too. I'd love to pick your brain a wee bit if you wouldn't mind, Video looked so crisp and clean!
So I just came across your video & I have been looking for a video to teach me how I can make my video clear and sharp, no blur background or whenever someone moves across the bride and groom. I realized that the type of weddings I film involves in a lot of movements and i have been filming in autofocus instead of Manuel. Please write be back and let me know what settings or what lens I should be filming in that environment I own Sony a7iii Zeiss 55mm And Tamron 28
Yes we would like to see everything you film! :D It really helps us beginners. Your tips are great, you are friendly and cool and you don't use expensive gear (like 100$ screws and shit) - encouraging us to use what we have. You really help us grow. Glad you got better and waiting for you next video.
I'm going to do a Q&A soon I'll be sure to answer this! My normal day rate is $500 without editing Editing for the first 2 hours is $250 and after that $100 per hour. It's all situational on the client/ what they want. I'm flexible depending on the situation.
Loved seeing the shot and how you filmed it at the same time. Really help make it clear what you did to make it look so good. Thanks. Do you do anything with long zooms like shooting surfing?
Could you share autofocus settings if you use them? Just changed to A7iii from canon and I don’t understand the autofocus stuff. I can’t really get any autofocus going when shooting sports which makes me go to manual.
Great thanks for this. Quick question, if your shooting 120fps and want to use it at normal speed. How do you stop it from looking weird ? When I use my high fps shots at full speed they look funny. Thanks
For sports like basketball what would you set your shutter speed to? Im going to shoot in 4K with 25 shutter speed. should I just double it or boost it even more? maybe 100?

What PP & Lut did you use for this?
What focus mode did you use for the mitt work, I love your recording style and the way you used the transitions. I'm still an amateur videographer and I struggle with the focus modes with fast-moving action.
What did you use for focus mate? Auto or manual?
Hey Daniel, for action sports or anything with fast motion if I'm using a camera with AF like the sonys I like using Autofocus on Zone and then using the dial to change the area of the zone for where my talent is at!
If you ever get to Atlanta or the Carolinas…would love to shadow you

Hey quick question, Do you guys usually shoot in manual focus or something like continuous auto focus when shooting a video like this?
Great video Jason! I would love to get some tips on how to broach clients :)

How to get more projects! That would be really helpful
So you're filming 1080p right? For the slow motion stuff.
yessir at the time when this camera had just come out slomo was only 1080p now with the newer generation sony's like the fx3/6 I shoot in 4k
Great tips! Do you use 24p timeline to edit the final product?
Cool vid fella. Can you do a vid on putting a price on types of shoots. What sort of price was this shoot worth if you dont mind me asking?
I'm going to do a Q&A soon I'll be sure to answer this! My normal day rate is $500 without editing Editing for the first 2 hours is $250 and after that $100 per hour. It's all situational on the client/ what they want. I'm flexible depending on the situation.
Is this also for the Sony A7S III?
Sick video man! Perfect for fitness and sports videographers like myself 👊🔥👊
Ayyy thank you Daniel!!!! Appreciate you checking out the video!

Also which area is autofocus?
Nice job Jason lol yeah your right YCI loves the shoulder rig and his Ronin M :) talented guy. Great video and again keep up the good work.
Mike! Thank you bro, I'm really digging this rig for the shoots I need it on!

Thanks
Rich does it? If I don't slow mine down it looks fine just without a bunch of motion blur.
@@ImJasonAnthony huh, maybe Im missing a trick then ???
Very helpful! Thank you
I know you shot this in 60 and 120 fps but do you still edit the footage on a 24p timeline? Just curious thanks
