Finally hauled our colt Cash to an actual trail riding park for the first time! I usually ride him on our property or down the road but haven't had the chance to take him on a trail ride since we have been so busy. But we finally did it! He's such a good horse so he did great but we did run into some alligators! Typical Florida lol

I used to not wear helmets when I rode (mostly because I only rode at my aunts house and she doesn’t have any helmets), but when I started taking lessons I had to wear a helmet, and now I can’t go back, I feel so much safer with a helmet on. You’re very brave for riding without a helmet, especially on a young horse like Cash.

I think you should make more trail ride videos I don't know about everyone else who watched this video, but I loved the trail ride videos.
Bareback pad is the way to go. The horses appreciate it more. All you can hear was the saddle rubbing and making noise

Heads up on the back cinch! : Noticed that it is super loose, by letting it hang down like that it is more likely that if the horse got spooked or something like that he could get his back leg through that gap! It does not have to be tight but at least having it snug gets rid of that issue.

i would definitely get an older horse that’s a beginner horse for your first horse! also if you have any friends that ride horses i would definitely ask them to help you with getting started riding or even go to riding lessons! also spend lots of time with the horse and just love on it as much as possible!
