I grew up in Crown Heights and Flatbush Brooklyn...I was 16 in 1982 and saw this live and direct. Every where there were battles. B Boys from left to right, and one of my favorites was Zulu Nation, Chapter Three, which was Rock Steady. I fell in love with it and sad that where I live now (in a different state) it's not an interest anymore but I'm still. Brings back great memories as this was a great decade and to all of us was the best times of our lives. Also the music was made for this so many great tunes as well. Thank you for keeping this alive and you have a great way of teaching this.
Very helpful. I thought it would be really difficult, but if I keep at it, I can actually start doing it within a day. Sure, wont look smooth or great or anything, but lets give it some time and practice :)
That’s bboy battle rock but great explanation on that style. to say it’s traditional rock? It doesn’t have the traditional steps/foundation or jerks. Keep on rockin my dude
