As a wood carver, wood worker and guitar player for over 50 years, I found this video very therapeutic. The wood was beautiful. The sharpness of your plane producing Angel hair thin curls and the perfect matching of your joint was just magic! You are a master of your craft. Thank you for sharing you talent with us.

My family have been involved in antique restoration for over 650 years also musicians. Watching you work is like watching my family --simply priceless. Right now my work has taken me back to restoring early 1800s furniture, then I quickly rush home to start putting a home studio together. As you clearly demonstrate a crafts person is only good as their tools... I've got to run but I will see you again perhaps in the next video.

There are a few creators that I get genuinely excited when they have a new video, and you are one. Your craft and skill is a joy to watch.
I'm interested to know about the body shape... it is 'dreadnought-ish' but with some slightly more stylised curves. A video on some of your aesthetic choices would be great - body shapes, emblem design, inlays and fret-markers... all that stuff.

Your attention to detail is extraordinary. I especially liked the way the "curve" of your back braces seem to mimic the slight angular design of your guitars. Your instruments are full of incredible details. Beautifully shot video!

Out of curiosity, has anyone ever investigated to see how different glues impact sound transmission? I make furniture as a hobby so it's more just curiosity.

Excellent as ever but a suggestion use a smaller width - ¼ inch to ⅜ inch at 4-6 tip - you find this much easier cutting the curves. Your twice cutting your back why not use a router to cut the edge using your original mold as a guide.

What an educational and soothing video! As someone who enjoys music and respects great craftsmanship, this video on how to make an acoustic guitar was right up my alley.
Daisy, you do an excellent job of detailing each step of the process, from selecting the lovely Welsh walnut wood to cutting the notches and chiselling the intricate embellishments. You put so much thought and effort into each component. I enjoy learning about your thoughtful design decisions, such as how the grain direction gives strength and support. You are definitely a master of your trade, and yourskills with hand tools is very impressive.
The entire film is also really relaxing, thanks to the amazing music and noises of the workshop. I could spend all day watching you plain and shave those thin curls! It was amazing to see your work and see such a wonderful finish. I can't wait to see the finished instrument! Please make more videos like this!

I know you don't need me to tell you, but your work is really nice, and I'm grateful to you for showing it. Also, I think Walnut is an underutilized wood in guitar building, so I'm glad to see it here. It's pretty common in electric bass, but not so much with guitar. I also like your design style, with your slightly pointier/more-squared-off shoulders and your very nice headstock design. Big fan. Thanks again.

If you ever get a minute to sit, check out planing competitions in Japan. The go next level sharpening the blades in box planes and try to get the longest, most complete wood shaving. It's nuts, they use micrometers to measure the thickness.
