This is an Excellent Helpful Video for Advice, Tips, and Information for anybody who wants to make Stories for Movies, Comics, Novels, and Video Games as well! Well-Done!
The timing of this video is perfect! I'm at home, awake right as you upload and I'm starting a course this week that'll teach me everything about how to make movies. Including how to write them, which is something I aspire to be great at some day. I just know this video is gonna help me a lot!
Thats AWESOME!!! I actually learned a lot of my core writing skills in film school learning to do screenwriting. That's awesome that you're about to start a class in filmmaking and I hope it's lots of fun and super informative!
Thank you ever so much Christian, I had recently experienced this very problem. Now I feel able to write my stories again that I am hopeful to publish. Thank you for all of your creative and spiritual inspiration to me.
I want to say ty for making this video I wanted to become an author after learning that it was fun. You also inspire me to make stories and to get better at drawing so ty.
This episode is helpful, I've been planning out a project that I had in the back of my head for about a year but never had the motivation to move on to actually write it. Until now, this video is all the motivation I needed. Thanks for the wake up call. 👍
I would absolutely love to see you make more videos about your writing and creative processes. I've been recently getting back into the mood to write and this video popped up at the perfect time to help push me along. Thank you for being an absolute time lord and dropping this when you did.
This is EXACTLY what I need to hear! Thank you so much for making this and I'd love to see more videos like this! I'm currently trying to write (and hopefull publish) my first grachic novel but I've been running into a few problems, mainly with the plot and the fact I dont have any digital programs to use to draw on, but this video has helped a TON and I'm refuled to keep going!
Like you, I do art and animation, but I also enjoy writing. I’m merging all of that passion into a comic, but I’ve been having trouble finding the right direction to go with each beat I already planned out, so this video really helped out. Thanks a bunch👍👍👍
😭😭 u lifesaver! I haven’t even watched the vid yet but anything that helps with writing a novel is sooooo gonna help me in the long run as I’ve been trying to write my first one for awhile now
I'm really happy you made this video, I've been creating my own original characters for about a year now and have wanted to write a story for those characters, but I've been nervous about how to start writing it. This video really helped me get a good idea on how to start writing it. You actually gave me inspiration for creating my own original characters, so thank you for everything.
Thank you! I can't express through text alone how much this has helped me understand better how I should go about my own creative writing! I'm excited to try out those tips and one of the processes this month. Maybe one day, I'll be able to collaborate with you and other wonderful people. I hope you have a blessed week, Christan.
Thank you so much for this! I'm more of a pantser writer (i tend to finish stories when i do it organically without too much planning though i haven't released them yet lol) but I like to try and do some planning so I have an idea, but when i plan, i go into so much depth that i get bored or just stop writing. With my recent project, which came immediately after i decided to give up on a project i had planned out in depth and got bored of lol, i just outlined the main characters and now I'm just going with the flow. Hopefully your advice helps me as i write 🤍
Thank you popcross, this actually helped me to finish a short story that’s taken me a month to finish, I was really struggling with it but now I have the drive, thanks a lot
I like that comment about how the “Boogeyman” will always be there, but it will only have as much power over us as we allow it to have! Granted I’m firmly in the “AI is cool on its own, but needs to have some regulation or something so it can’t easily be used maliciously or carelessly” camp, but despite my or anyone’s complicated feelings on A.I., stressing about it and halting your life until “things are better” is not an option! Personally, I’m trying to learn how to make my own image generator completely from scratch and make it as artist/copyright friendly as possible, mainly by making it easy to add, modify, and completely delete any data you give it, and other stuff! But with all that said, Even if I get this project, or any project, done and finished, worrying about it will only cause unnecessary grief and stress! Thanks for the reminder, PopCross!💖👍
This is Incredibly Helpful! Me and my friends have been working on an Original Series since the beginning of the Year and its been really hard but hopefully with this new info it will be somewhat easier 😅
I’m not planning on writing but this advice applies to me in other ways so I still watched so thanks for giving me confidence to try out something in the future
love this i really love all the advice, i really have alot of stories but i never finish but i keep alot of my characters in drawings so it is pretty hard to forget their story thank you so much really loved the video i would honestly want to see more of these and tbh this video is much more entertaining than most writing tips channels i've watched atleast in my opinion
For nearly a year I've been working on this big ol' project that has had maybe 10 different evolutions, and I've seriously needed some advice to help me get writing on it. This video is that advice I needed. Now, my project is finally getting somewhere. Thanks
Awesome video! I really appreciate you sharing some of your tips, experiences, and insights in terms of writing. I also really like your referencing of James Clear. I remember listening to the full audio book at work once and it was really helpful in getting me to rethink my activities and how to build havits that lead to results that I want to see in my life. I've been world building for the longest time but haven't done much in terms of actual storytelling. Ironically, I've had the best world building results by writing out stories that were based in said worlds. This video is definitely a keeper.
I’m not much of a writer, but I do like to come up with story ideas. I never started to write these ideas, though, so this video is super helpful. Thank you Christian.
I really enjoyed this video. It’s my first time encountering your channel. I filled so many journals and sketchbooks with art and writing and notes over decades and have failed to launch any of my ideas into a project, though I hope to read some life into the stories and mine the very, Rich veins of story that I’ve discovered through exercising my imagination and observations. I appreciate your encouragement and tips very much and I think this is a great video for anybody who is aspiring to do some writing. Congratulations on your accomplishments! Making a living for my creativity is a dream that seems too good to be attainable. You are living proof that it can be done!
Thank you so much and welcome to the channel! Very glad to hear the tips on here are helping you and I do have another video like this one planned to come soon!
This is the fist video I've seen of yours and I quite enjoy it. I love the idea process and have lists and listes of ideas for my stories, but only sat down and wrote one seriously. I got to about 23,000 words when I wanted to do a rewrite and change the genre, leaving me burnt out on it. I later came back and think I just needed space from the story and hope to get back into it, and story writing in general, soon! Thanks for the video!
Thank you so much! I have considered making some courses with more elaborated details and lessons and stuff, but if I can earn good money from ads by giving my audience things for free then that is always my preference
Thank you. I needed to hear this. I started a writing project about a month ago and haven't touched it in a while. I have planed out the personalities of the characters and a few important scenes, but that's about it. It is about three brothers who have to find the Kings conjoined twin daughters who were kidnaped by a cult that worship aliens from another planet that they call the "Star Children." This eventually ends in an all out war between the aliens who have space ships, laser guns, and mechs against knights, wizards, and dragons. (Maybe dwarves as well, haven't decided yet.)
This is very helpful and I have over the years stopped really writing as much as I used to. I want to publish my books and everything but I’ve stopped posting them and just started planning a lot of stuff yet not writing it heck never really post any of it anywhere for fear of it being misconstrued, hated et cetera. Thank you for this video and just for encouraging us to keep being creative and positive, especially for me as I’ve been going through tons of change and it’s hard to not get in my own head half the time.
You're very welcome! And I totally get being afraid of the way other people can interpret or criticize your work when you post it. It's the kind of thing that doesn't have an easy answer, but it does have a simple answer, which is to just keep posting more and know that over time you'll become more comfortable putting your work out there regardless of what people say! It's almost like a right of passage for creatives. If you can move through the fear and keep sharing your work, it shows the universe how much you want to be a creator
Definitely inspiring I’m writing a comic book about four or five of my original characters and I’ll definitely be listening to this more often so that I can see which writing process Aligns with my personality more and for different stories I’ll make. Still going to hold on making my channel. I need the proper equipment to get started meanwhile I am going to brainstorming some story ideas but thanks for the advice this really helps a lot.
You know, i do love brainstorming and creating stuff, even if im just out doing other stuff ideas will come to me, but i do have trouble actually writing it out. Thanks Christian, this videos been really helpfull. Im try putting it into practice 😄
I wasn’t expecting this kind of video. But, this kind of video feels really helpful like the one that you did of the MSM logo thing. I think if you did a few other ones like this it would be successful.
Thank you so much!! ❤ l am working on some stories myself and this video is going to help so much l got lots of ideas for it but this is definitely going to help!😊😊
I’ve been putting off writing for ages. I’ve had an idea of story for 5 years. I keep bouncing around the platform I’m writing for I get overwhelmed. You have given me some good starting points I am gonna tackle. My issues is the correct layout of the story, formatting of speech and paragraphs
I'll make sure to save these tips for later. I love writing stories but whenever I commit to a project, I can never finish them. It's nice to get some tips and tricks from a more "seasoned" writer. Thanks Popcross
Terminator ZERO comes out this Thursday. Crazy idea: What if Skynet not only send Terminators back in time, but through over dimensions to secure across the multiverse? The possibilities are endless. You could even start with popular franchises and make your own Terminators to hunt down potential threats to its success.
I had that at the start, and my planning stage for my first light novel was very messy. Last week, I started writing the prologue. My progress is slow, but I sit down to write as much as I can every day. I recommend to use a loose outline just so you have a direction for your story, but don't cling to the outline. You *will* come up with details in the process
The three sentence thing: Years ago I stumbled on someone writing online about something similar. When you don't feel like doing something, just force yourself to do it for two minutes. If you feel like stopping then, stop, but when the two minutes are over, you are more likely to continue doing the thing than to stop. This changed my life. My apartment quickly turned from always messy to not so messy. I would also never have finished college if not for that one life hack. I wrote two bad novels, returned to school and am now working on my master's thesis. When it is over I will continue with writing my third book. I plan on going hardcore into writing and also building my online presence then. Now I will just try to finish my thesis as soon as possible. Thanks for the video. I will now have breakfast and then work on my thesis for 2 minutes.
Well said, thank you for the encouragement. For any beginners here; don't feel any less of a professional just because you need encouragement we all need that for our entire career. ❤
Thank you so much for this video. It could not have come at a better time, I am in the process of writing stories about my OCs and the world I am making so people can finally understand them (outside of me just ranting about them spontaneously LMAO). I don’t know what method I will use but I’ll probably try all of them and see what works best for me. I hope the stories reach you someday as you've been a big inspiration for me.
Thank you for this Christian, as someone whose been writing the same book and planning it for 2 years now and finally started writing it more a day and posting it. It’s thanks to you and other youtubers/writers, thank you Christian
Hahah love it! Glad you like the inspiring messages so much! And this vid might be extra fun for you then because there are a bunch scattered thrughout the video too!
Back in the double-twenties (aka the year we don't talk about), the pandemic flipped a switch in my mind and I found myself in a deep, dark pit, unable to crawl out. I would try to remember back to when times were simpler, when I wasn't such a worrier. When I was young, I would create stories for every day events that happened. Out on the basketball court, it was war, and I stood as the last line of defense. My friend's getting teased was instead a ravenous beast threatening an attack, and I would need to run in to slay or fight off the beast. A childhood friend of mine encouraged me to take my over-active imagination and write, saying it might help, and to this day I have been doing so. Your videos help out a lot, and not just with inspiring me to write. Before I found your channel, I wrote a lot of things similar to what you write, so seeing how you put your stories into action helps me to further develop some things in my own stories. The fact that you've made a video purely about writing tips is really nice. Thank you, and keep up the fantastic work. (Sorry for the long message, by the way)
This is really helpful for writers! I think it would be really cool if you made a video like this, focusing on the art, and how to get good at drawing. I'm hoping to do something with animation after I graduate 12th grade, and if I end up liking it and getting good at it, hopefully I can be like you, and make that, not just my passion, but also my career.
Hey Christian popcross! I'm actually working on a setting called Freak-show that I'm using for a TTrpg (think dnd/Shadowrun) and a novel series! Currently got 5 and a half novels in various states of development. But I got a feeling this vid is help me get those done a lot better and a bit faster! Thanks for being super awesome =3
I remember back at the beginning of the pandemic, when I was starting out with my goals of being a published writer, I used to do this process where I would take a specific idea for a story, and then write it out in five different segments (like a sort of pilot episode, if you will). It's been a while since I used that, but once I save up enough to get my own laptop, I think I might give this process a try again.

Thank you so much, Popcross. I have a lot of ideas and this video helped inspire me to start actually write them. You’re the best
Thank you for the writing information. It'll help me with my writing classes
This is very useful! Thank you! i planned out a story for a cartoon pilot I'm making but I think this will help me flesh out the story more!
I actually found your channel through this writing advice video. I'll give your other stuff a look. Thanks for the encouragement on my own story.👍
Never knew i needed this until now, mostly because i have a story thats been in my head, and I tell the story by drawing and imagination, so thanks!
Thanks Pop Cross, this was really helpful.
😭😭 u lifesaver! I haven’t even watched the vid yet but anything that helps with writing a novel is sooooo gonna help me in the long run as I’ve been trying to write my first one for awhile now
WOOOO I really hope it does help! All the advice in here was super helpful to me when I learned it!
Thank you for this video popcross! I’m trying to write a book series and this video definitely helped!
I didn't ask for this video, but my god, you couldn't have chosen a better time to upload this, cause I actually need it!
Thank you so much!
Thank you popcross, this actually helped me to finish a short story that’s taken me a month to finish, I was really struggling with it but now I have the drive, thanks a lot
As someone who dreams of becoming a writer of superhero stories, I really needed to hear this today. Thanks a lot, Christian 🙏
Funny! I was thinking about making my comic series myself. So this will be a great help for it! Thanks!
I needed that swift kick in the butt to start my comic lol thank you!
Thanks, pal. You actually gave me a confidence boost.
This is Incredibly Helpful! Me and my friends have been working on an Original Series since the beginning of the Year and its been really hard but hopefully with this new info it will be somewhat easier 😅
That's AWESOME! Sounds like you're well underway and hopefully something in here can help elevate your enjoyment and productivity!
@PopCross I AM GOING TO KEEP THIS COMMENT IN MY MIND FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE 😂 ❤ (There's no "Tears of Joy" Emoji so I just put a heart next to it)
I’m not planning on writing but this advice applies to me in other ways so I still watched so thanks for giving me confidence to try out something in the future
love this i really love all the advice, i really have alot of stories but i never finish but i keep alot of my characters in drawings so it is pretty hard to forget their story thank you so much really loved the video i would honestly want to see more of these and tbh this video is much more entertaining than most writing tips channels i've watched atleast in my opinion
I would love more writing advice videos, I love writing but I can also struggle with it and I can't wait to try the tips in this video!
This is more helpful than i expected simce im writing for my dnd campaign, thank popcross, you really are the best
Thank you so much for this man, this video is really helpful! I would totally be down for getting more of these videos as well!
I'm pursuing a career in creative writing & BOY did I need this!!!
Its crazy how you posted this a hour before me and my friends are about to get into a call and start working on more of our Universe, Thank you!!!
WOOOOO! That's awesome! Hope you have lots of fun and hope this helps with the process!!!
@@PopCross Thank you! And it did help a lot!
It's amazing that you would do this for your fans for free! Most people would make us pay and then not tell us anything, but you're amazing!
As a part time writer myself this was very helpful thank you. But as always a friendly suggestion Elvis and famous singer as something
I really needed this such perfect timing wouldn't mind if there's a few more vids like these
This is very helpful and I have over the years stopped really writing as much as I used to.
I've been watching your stuff since your My Hero Venomized series and damn this video hits, def gonna start cooking with your advice!
This channel needs more subscribers so I can have more people to fan-out with over your stories. They're too good 😂
You know, i do love brainstorming and creating stuff, even if im just out doing other stuff ideas will come to me, but i do have trouble actually writing it out.
Thanks Christian, this videos been really helpfull. Im try putting it into practice 😄
Definitely going to use some of these ideas, thanks a lot man!❤
I’ve always struggled with actually putting a story on paper, so I think this video might help. It’ll definitely help others. So thanks. :)
You're very welcome! I hope it does help!!!
I wasn’t expecting this kind of video. But, this kind of video feels really helpful like the one that you did of the MSM logo thing. I think if you did a few other ones like this it would be successful.
Thank you! I am very much considering it! I really like the idea of doing an episode on character writing and banter writing between characters
This is what I just needed cause I’m in the middle of creating a big story and I need more of the juicy bits in the middle or keep people reading it.
The "only 3 sentences" is a useful trick for a lot of longer tasks
I'll make sure to save these tips for later. I love writing stories but whenever I commit to a project, I can never finish them. It's nice to get some tips and tricks from a more "seasoned" writer. Thanks Popcross
Please continue this series it's helpful
Thank you ❤
Brand new episode so exited
WOOOO Hope you enjoy a different sort of format :D Hope it s helpful!
I love to writing
That's AWESOME Happy to hear it :D
This will definitely help me with writing! Thanks a lot! I’ll probably use this advice for my DND character 🤣
Terminator ZERO comes out this Thursday. Crazy idea: What if Skynet not only send Terminators back in time, but through over dimensions to secure across the multiverse? The possibilities are endless.
You could even start with popular franchises and make your own Terminators to hunt down potential threats to its success.
I love to write, but I never Know where to ,I really need to hear that that, hope you have a great day and great video.
I'm writing a series of novels/novellas on superheroes and I can't wait to watch this video when I have time.
This is very helpful!
I was thinking of ways to help my book go along. The placeholder name for it is "a bunch of kids get chased by the government"
As someone who's currently trying (and failing) to write something, I appreciate this greatly
I hope something in here helps then! I know this advice would have helped me back when I struggled to get into the writing phase!
Thank you for this Christian, as someone whose been writing the same book and planning it for 2 years now and finally started writing it more a day and posting it. It’s thanks to you and other youtubers/writers, thank you Christian
That's AWESOME! I'm very happy to have helped inspire you and hope something in this video helps you out even more!
You know for whatever reason I felt like skipping to the end before watching the full thing just because I wanted to hear the inspiring message first
Hahah love it!
(Sorry for the long message, by the way)
I just found your channel and i’m really happy i did!
I write comic books and this has been really useful. It would be great if you could upload more of these videos for different writing tips ❤
Your's sounds the best for me I'm planning on using it while doing a daily month long drawing challenge
