Can't all be winners unfortunately. Still a great video as always nevertheless Robbie. P.s - for anybody considering tackleclub DO IT. I've been getting the redfin box since January and I am loving it. Always a great variety of brands you often won't find in tackle shops!
Hiya rob. Nice fish and the cod brothers are a winner.. Mate very envious of the warmth you still have lol . Thanks rob Hope everyone is well. 😎🏴🎣
Thanks Mike. I'm looking forward to some cooler weather. I feel like a sook complaining about a 37 degree day. Haha It usually gets much hotter than that here.
Stay safe out there Rob Melbourne's had some crazy weather but it seems much more quiet out your way besides the 37 degrees holy crap keep hydrated great vid again mate
Thanks Dave. Yeah it knocked me around a lot. We've had 3 mild summers in a row. We haven't had a 40 degree day for a few years. It's going to kill me when the extreme heat returns, which will probably be next summer I reckon.
@@robbiefishing yeah seems it's been a stinking hot summer all over the country can't actually wait for some colder weather never thought I'd say that lol well hopefully the cold will get us yabby vids 😉
Good to hear I'm not the only one who always calls glide baits, swim baits haha Same thing anyway just less joints if you ask me, they both work pretty similar. That's as much as I can help on that topic, since I always call them swim baits as well 😅 That frill seeker has caught me a few nice Aussie Bass in the past 👍 Well the cod bothera definitely seemed to get the attention of the cod, must have bothered them well enough for a bite anyway lol.
That was a might good looking cod, yeah I can't say this summer has been very kind to us. So humid I burned through 4L in about 3hr yesterday banging away next to a 1200C forge and I can't say I felt like doing it again!
@@robbiefishing If you carry an esky, pack some cooling blocks in there and what I do is dampen a microfibre towel, put it on top of the cooling block and it'll help. Especially on your head and chest to keep your core body temp from going completely bananas
Oh don't remind me on the heat we had haha I was working in it for harvest at the orchard no air in the old tractor just windows. I can tell you what on the way home had nice cold beer and a dip in the Basin work clothes on and all. Got out within 10 minutes was all dry haha. That was hard working for a one lovely cod but we'll worth it buddy. Them hound dog lures I've got a few of them you more then welcome to have I'll send them through the mail in a few days they will come in great use instead of collecting dust
Hi robbie, went out today and caught a 40 cm brown trout in spring creek that runs through Beechworth. You should come down and catch some big fish down there
Mate you certainly put the effort in for this one, I hope tackle club recognises your dedication ! In all seriousness though, be careful of exertional heat exhaustion, especially if you're out there alone. Keep those cracking videos coming, cheers 😊.
Hi Robbie, can't wait to watch the video always love the tackle club videos, going cod fishing with a few mates this weekend hope we get onto a few I'm thinking about getting a cod box from tackle club is the code still Robbie10 for the single boxes?
@@robbiefishing I loved fishing at dawn. everything is so quiet and the world is waking up. Not to mention t's so cool compared to the rest of the day. Something about it is so peaceful..
hey robbie, the difference between a swim bait and a glide bait is a swim bait has three bodies and a glide bait only has two, or to put it another way, a glide bait has one joint and a swim bait has two
Hi mate, it all depends where I am. With this type of fishing I release them all because I can't carry an eski with me to keep the fish cool. If I was fishing at Lake Nillahcootie and I had my eski with me, I would happily keep one..
@@robbiefishing thanks for the reply mate. I’m based in WA, over here Redfin are a pest, we can catch and keep a heap of we get them. Are they a pest over in VIC?
Gday robbie, awesome vid as always!!!!! I’m in Walhalla at the moment and was wondering if you had any suggestions for trout spots near here Thanks for the great vid cheers Toby P.S u accidentally called me Tony in the last comment section

I caught my first cod on the hound dog on Sunday 👌
That's so awesome, well done mate. I was really enjoying that lure before I lost it.
@robbiefishing it's weird that you lost that one because I lost my aus spin lure that was in the box today 😅
@@gato8695 haha It's frustrating isn't it. LOL 🤣
Great to watch as always.. Thanks for sharing Robbie :)
Thanks so much Robert. 👍👍
That hound dog has an awesome sound to it! The chatterbait looks cool too. Nice cod! 😁🎣
Thanks mate, I had to work hard for this one. Haha
Hard night at the office mate it’s always the good night there hard to catch but the lures look great cheers for taking us out on a very hot day
Thanks mate. It sure was hot. The sweat was rolling out of me.
The calm before the storm...
Down south was like One in Thirty years at the heart of it... Fishing the bays will be interesting !
I saw that. WOW We copped it here, but not nearly as bad as other parts of the state.
Seen it twice before of 44 yearz!!!
But this time I thought my windshield would shatter whilst driving...

Be careful don't overdo it. Nice cod. Take care thanks for video. God bless you and your family.❤
Thank you so much Becky. God bless you too. 🙏
Great video, Robbie. That chatterbait chatted up that River Dwelling Log Hog into the Venom’s submission. Well done!

How'dy mate, I got a shock when you mentioned me haha, I didn't recognise the spot, jeez what a night you me and Dylan had that night hey 😊
Haha thanks mate. That was a magical evening wasn't it. The fishing was better that night than it was when I filmed this 2 days ago. LOL
Well done mate a nice little cod. That chatterbait looks absolutely stunning.
Thanks mate. It done really well. I'm surprised that I didn't lose it to be honest. They're quite snag prone but this one done well.
One is always better than none, but it seems several guys that are creators are struggling this summer. Great job and thanks for sharing!
Thanks Larry. The season started well in December, but we're certainly going through a slow patch at the moment.

That "Hound Dog" looks (and sounds) just like a Shakespear Big S from the 1980's, which was always a gun cod lure up in Copeton Dam
Wow! That Cod smashed that chatter bait
One fish is better than no fish looks an excellent stream
Thanks Pete. I agree 100% mate.
“Very quiet night” ship happens Robbie 🎣
Sure does mate. One fish beats no fish. 👍👍

Ps at 55mm ya still have a trout bait as well fish any depth as well kill 22 birds with one stone lol enjoy.😊
Word Up Homie! No Labrador moments? Looks like it would of been in order in those conditions!
Thanks Homie. I really wanted to get in, but that spot is a bit tricky. There's no real sand bar or he got undulations. It's all in or stay out. LOL

Thanks Toby, to be honest mate I do not know that area at all sorry. I don't think I've ever been there.
Glide baits glide and their meant for slow working, swimbaits swim and their ment for fast working
Ah OK, awesome. Thanks for clearing that up. I think I may have been working this one too fast. Haha
what type of cheese do you use for cod?
Tasty or Mozzarella.
Yea luckily you didn’t 😂

I actually have a life straw. It's a drink bottle with a lifestraw filter.
I only ever use it when I run out of drinking water.
Robbie10 isn't being recognised. Tried a apace between the e&1 still no good . Oh well
