    For unobstructed skyline views please see below for front dash cam video.
    Front dash cam video: • Driving in Toronto - D...
    Rear dash cam video: • Driving in Toronto - D...
    Video starts at Queensway E and Dixie Rd. in Mississauga.
    I enter downtown Toronto via the Gardiner Expressway and then drive around the downtown core during lunchtime.
    I'm deciding on my route as I go so there is a couple times I end up in the wrong lane.

      Come to Vancouver. Having lived in both cities, I can tell you that Vancouver is a much better choice. Beautiful nature, better weather, urban city core, better city aesthetics, beautiful beaches, more diversity, cleanliness, and lower crime rate. It's a better choice in every aspect and for the sake of the quality your of life.
      I will say that Toronto feels like home for some reason I can't describe :)

    Great video. I also love how you can see in the rear view mirror too. I have a suggestion. While some people know the city, some others don't. Maybe you could add text if you edit your video and label some landmarks like city hall, chinatown, UofT, Eaton Centre, etc. on any future videos (unless you've already done that).

    Most of the parents in Toronto ignore traffic laws with their children and many of these twits are civil servants. Let's end the terrorism of Toronto's children and introduce conscientious streets and communities instead of the current freewheeling city slicker phenomenon. My work with the "Law Abiding Capital City Streets Campaign," is designed to help these children.

      @pauly5418 6 років тому

      Scarborough isn't so bad any more. It''s continuing to develop. Yonge St at Lawrence Ave. is a good neighbourhood. Going east on Lawrence, you're forced to go north at Bayview. To go east again, you would cut through the Bridal Path neighbourhood, where some of the wealthiest people in the country live. Yes, very ugly over there. Even if you keep going another 10 km, there is nothing ugly there.

    I'll skip it and see the country side. There is virtually no difference in any of the major top tier cities now. That could be New York; I've had enough of cities, no charm, no character left, smelly nisy dirty, only worth it if you're young or have a high powered carrer.

    • @leadnsteel1428
      @leadnsteel1428 6 років тому

      Yup. Big cities suck. They are expensive to live in, streets are crowded with people, and too much traffic. I would rather live in a small town

    Canadian roads are the most antiquated in the world, if we consider the economic and technological level of the countries that pride themselves to be modern and prosperous.
    There are so many traffic lights and a motorist has to stop because the traffic light is on red even as there is no car to cross from the either direction of the road perpendicular to his roadway.
    I sent an email to Mayor John Tory of Toronto for exploring the feasibility of installing traffic sensors, so that when side roads are empty, the traffic light will stay red and if the traffic is really light, then traffic light should be removed. I am still suspecting that there is no City Engineer in Toronto who can assess the quality of roads and the efficiency of design and usage of the city infrastructure. Toronto has the worst road surface among the high tax cities in the world. Street lights are still on when the sun has already brightly shining. There is no programming of work in the repair and new road extension projects. The delays in traffic flow are not justifiable by the work done by the contractors. Even newly repaired roads have surfaces that are uneven and generally "un-engineered".
    Other metropolitan cities have modernized roadways by installing bypass, overpass and underpass roads, but Canada stayed using the 19th century traffic and highway technology, my consternation is that, roads and highway contractors seem to be unwilling to use 19th century asphalt roller.
    Highways have no parallel roads for detour in case of unforeseen incidents. When an accident happens, it is like, "nobody moves" and the traffic delays become intolerable.
    In deference to property developer, politicians are even considering demolition existing expressways, an utter weird way of defining "progress" and modernization.
    If we consider the volume of pollutants emitted by cars idling while waiting for green light, then it is not a surprise that UN is pleading Canada to do something. Civil engineers that immigrated to Canada are horrified why appropriate technology seemed to have skipped Canada. It is not too late but Canadians should start acknowledging that the conditions here are not that good going forward and beyond.
