    So the reason for the long delay between the alarm going off and the foam deploying is to give people a chance to verify there's actually a fire and cancel the foam if it's a false alarm? (saving themselves a massive cleanup job)
    Or does it just take that long for the foam system to spool up and start foaming?

    Something sounds wrong with the NACs. The alarms could be Wheelock NS', ZNS', or exeders, which all sync, but these seem to be skipping a lot.

      That’s not supposed to ever happen with fire alarms the coding is off its should be code 3 all the way through the skipping isn’t good god forbid something actually happened

      This foam is extremely toxic and washing it down the drain means it will end up in the local water supply. This foam stays in the environment for thousands of years and will not go away. It has been known to cause several different types of cancer. This foam is the reason why all Air Force bases around the country have polluted ground water and high levels of cancer in the surrounding areas. theintercept.com/2018/02/10/firefighting-foam-afff-pfos-pfoa-epa/

    Why is the fire alarm's pattern so random? Instead of doing a full set of Code-3, it'll do the three bursts, then two, so on and so forth.

      Todd Loiselle Some systems are like that. Some of the Spectralert advances at my school start off with 2 beeps, 5-1 beeps, and then regular code 3

    • @Tyler-qv2jv
      @Tyler-qv2jv 9 років тому

      At my old school, on code 3 it start off with 1 beep the the Normal code 3 would start

    • @zacharybishop6595
      @zacharybishop6595 9 років тому

      Usually spectralert classics do that. The advance will do one long beep then code 3, or 2 short ones

      I think they may be trying to use a sync module on unsyncable horns.
      The strobes will sync no matter what, but the horns will screw up like this if they are unsyncable.
      Just going by the sound of the horns, they are either using Wheelock NS or AS horn/strobes, both of which are not made to be synced by a module.

    What are the blue barrels used for?

    • @coro8933
      @coro8933 9 років тому

      The blue barrels are so they can judge how quickly the foam is being released and ensuring proper spread of the foam
