I’m looking to upgrade my old Edge 1000 and I’m very interested in the Karoo 2.... thoughts on leaving Garmin? Any features I might miss? I’ve heard it doesn’t have previous lap data fields? I guess it can be added further down the line with software.
I'll definitely have more thoughts on my in-depth review. I do not currently see previous laps data fields other than after the ride is over and uploaded. That's not really a feature I use in real time or while on the bike, so it's not a biggie to me, but I know everyone has their data that they want to see. So far, my impressions are positive with only a few minor issues here and there.
@@TacomaCyclist I'm most interested in hearing how it's rerouting/mapping functions. I ride out of state from time to time and want to be able to find my way around when going off Rails to Trails premarked routes. I keep my phone working with Strava datalogging, and of course for making calls/texts/emails on a ride. If this new computer can get me around town like a bike-mount Uber driver, that would be a game changer for exploring areas without anxiety.
