I love the low tier gameplay. People seem to forget about the bottom half of the game. When I played the T-28 it has the legendary 85mm. Happy to have the t-28 with f-30
Exactly, i always start the day by playing my tech tree tier 7's and 8's, i'm a F2P player, currently grinding towards the Maus and the double barreled ST. In those battles i almost always get nuked by the facking BZ's and AE Phase I's and 703's, and so all these premium or reward OP craps. I get burnt out in like 3 battles. Jumping down to tier 3-4-5 or even 6 is such a relief most of the time, not that much premiums, people aren't tryharding like they are on a freakin esport event, no 1k clip damage autoloaders... its just simple, reminds me the old days back in 2014 when i started. And i don't really consider it seal clubbing because my overall ratio is only 6.200 so i dont call myself a pro player.
Oh cmon QB... "Yes... never give up... ....IF you have a well trained crew, can afford prem consumables, spamming gold rounds, and good equipment AND have 10's of thousands of battles of experience, YOU TOO can turn around a 7 tank deficit!!!"
This tank is so OP, But when I first got it as a new player, I didnt understand how it works and was so frustrated It made me confused what I was doing wrong. "I'm sidescraping, why am I still taking damage? Isnt this a medium tank?" So many battles, so much of me just not understanding that this tank is what no other soviet medium is like... it was a good riddance after I got the kv-1 tbh
@@chikkachu2208 well I mean, I haven't played tier 4 in ages since I don't like low tiers that much (dispersion values of most tanks are frustrating to play with) but it looks like statistically the t-28's 112 pen value will go through matilda most of the time and the premium pen will absolutely butcher it, alongside the 1970 dpm compared to the matilda's 1639 dpm so idk I probably would still say it's OP
My favourite part of being a good T-28 player back in the day was constantly getting bitched at by my meta-brained teammates for not charging into the thick of it and brawling the way "all medium tanks are meant to" and instead racking up top guns and tons of damage almost every battle playing to it's strengths. Oh and that time I took out 98% of a tanks health and killed it only to have an angry kid scream that I stole "his kill" he was trying to steal from me so he charged and tried to ram me off a cliff and I just moved forward and watched him fly off to his death... then told everyone to report me in chat... good old WoT.
The T-28 is great and I also love the premium version (T-28 F-30 or something) with the 85mm, 160 alpha gun. It's just a great performer, if you know how to play with it right.
I LOVE this tank….. back in the day when you could noob platoon, I ended up in a tier 8 game in it. Suffice it to say, that high velocity 57mm gun was both unexpected and devastating. I actually got a top gun in it, killing a number of tier 8 tanks (yes, some were arty). So nice to see some game play from you in it.
I used to love driving my T-28. I remember the most fun times I had with it were on Severogorsk, back when that was still in map rotation. In tier 5 games, I used to drive it up the sides of the river in the middle, after the heavies were blitzing through. I would then dive in behind the enemy tanks and just use that dpm to light them up. GOOD TIMES, and now I think I'll take it out for a spin.
I hated that tank. I told everyone to skip it if they could because it was so horribly bad. BUT... back then gold shells cost real money and the DPM gun wasn't better than the bigger gun. They made the tank a lot smaller after the 1.0 rework. It was originally almost as big as a TOG and had paper armor, so it was impossible to miss a shot at the thing.
I got to witness this exact thing on Fjords one time a couple of years ago. I never thought to upload the replay. I probably still have it but I doubt it works anymore. Anyway, I was one of the last four tanks left alive on the West spawn on Fjords. We went back to the spawn and sat on that little hill right above the cap circle. I died, but the last three guys held off and killed 15 tanks by themselves. They weren't in heavy tanks either. I think one was in a TD and the other two were in mediums. I was in a light tank if I remember right. I did a bunch of damage but couldn't get any kills before they finally got me. But it was epic. 3-15 and the 3 won the battle. High-tier too.
Love it! I actually liked this tank a lot when I played it to get the KV-2. I used the same gun but I wasn’t as smart about playing itas you did and failed to protect the thin shell of this tank. Probably why it has a good P/W ratio.

Hated it when I started, then fell in love when I worked out how to play it. The pricing for premium shells is completely broken, it is much more expensive to do the same amount of damage with the 57mm, than the larger guns; a huge problem when running the 57mm on this and the kv1
This tank reminded me of the tier 5 M7 when it was a medium back when I played it, good engine and maneuverable, but unlike the M7 and the Cromwell crippled by the top speed
when i had to buy T-28 to go into higher tier tanks i used the Durp gun , but thats before the HE changes happend ,now you must play the Dpm gun with gold
in Asian area in the Australian server you get bots when not enough players between tiers 1 - 5 , and quite often bot wars happen, even when all the players die and the bots take forever to end the game. World of Tanks developers can create pretty good bots (they move in different ways, pretty accurate and have different agros to defend or go offensive when overwhelming number of tanks on the field ) very funny to watch their logic, they sometimes outscore players and get into top 3 players on a team ....
I never give up when i am the last man standing on my team. Actually, I do this more often in first 30 seconds of the battle, after i can't believe my eyes what my allies are doing and where are they going.
It is complicated to play but good players really seal club in the T-28. I love it. The 57mm rips it up. But the most OP tank tier for tier is that Panzer V/IV. I’ve got one and it’s plain dirty. Panther body at tier 5 - a medium tier 5 that weighs more and has more power than the tier 8 Russian T-44. A ramming beast when it meets tier 3 and 4

Whenever I see this thing before the HE nerf, I always target it with either my Pz IV H or my Sherman III. It is really a good riddance for your team, more so than eliminating the enemy team's light tank. Because if you let this thing alive, it will literally shred your team apart just like what QB did. And yeah, the same "noob trap" gun also applies to the tier 5 chinese medium which is basically a chinese T34 medium.
I would call the T-28 good but not OP, when I was playing it I used the now removed 85mm. The 57mm gun helps with the usual +2MM but on tier 4 nothing beats the Italian, spanking 180 dmg with it's high pen HE
T-28 has been a thorn in my side Obviously I’ll feel different when I get one.. just starting. I played tabletop games since the mid 70s So the T-28 is not unknown to me Its 76mm gun is a low velocity infantry support gun. And so of little use against good armor. Historically it faced Pzkfw 38-t and pzkfw III ausf F both had lightish armor 30mm and 50mm and either 37mm L47kwk or the 50mm kwk39.. main issues were its transmission and clutch Being over weight under powered the drive train broke often.
@6:20 The KV-1SA is actually also tier 5 tank. But yeah bit confusing, since there are now KV-1Sh, KV-1SA and KV-1S, one of which is premium, one reward and one tech tree tank. Great game tho!
The T-80 is another tier 4 Soviet tank that can have monster games. Its 45mm just doesn't stop; super accurate, high RoF, decent penetration. And the absurdly high gun elevation of 65 degrees allows you to shoot from positions no other tank in the entire game can use.
Back in the day I and two friends would do the T5 tournaments and we'd use this gun on the KV-1 and just go around doing about 300 damage every few secs. lol

Always let the Zis fully aim unless you have to shoot early. It rarely hits unless fully aimed and the follow up shot will miss too because of the RoF. 44 prems*2800 credits

It's funny, I haven't played this game in almost two years. A month ago I was hacked by wargaming and had 30 euros removed from my account. Had to change cards, whole ordeal. When I left, the premium meta was high as hell. I remember the Skoda's being the bane of every single tank. First 3 seconds of the video quickybaby still goes on about how premium is killing the game. Goddamn. I hate that world of tanks became a moneygrab machine basically. I used to have fun with this game, and every time I lost and got killed was by my own mistakes. Premium killed the fun out of it. I wish they just made the game payed at start and not a f2p lie like it is. Sorry about the rant. I'm incredibly mad at the company and the state of the game. But it is what it is. Cheers to all, and especially QB for still putting out content even after all these years. Hope for many more to come. And hopefully diversity, i would love QB commenting on other titles.
Most sleeper op is the bison tier 3 german arty just because its the earliest stunning arty meaning its gets special shells My best game is 1800 damage In 5 or more shots majorly one-shots Tier 3 450 damage 44mm pen arty And 300 damage heat with 98mm pen destroys pz2js
I dont think the I used the wrong gun on the T-28, but I do remember just completely hating the vehicle when I played it. I was definitely still new to the game and didn't have a good crew so I called it the Twinkie. I actually had more fun playing the Lee, and that tank still holds my kill record in game. Back on the old version of Serene Coast, think it was like a 12 or 13 kill game. Still lost though because last guy was AFK in their cap and I was too slow to get to him before the clock ran out.
also the bot moves when bumped to let the real players move. to prevent standing in the way. bump him and he moves out of the way. bot makers know that bots suck so they do this so that real players are not blocked and can carry the game so the endgame reward gets higher and the winrate does not dip too low
I did *not* (this time) fall into the trap. The T-28 is my most-played tank with over 900 battles. It win percentage is about 7 points higher than the rest of the account (still a tomato).
Content idea: when you're done with the best/worst tanks of each nation, why not do like a "playing every (tank type) of (tier)" series to get everyone an idea of every tank in the game.
Bot wars happen very often on ANZ server. It’s almost a ghost server. It’s so stupid that WG removed Singapore server and now ANZ players have no choice but to play on their local server because the latency to HK server is unacceptable.
It was like the second T4 tank i ever played and i utterly sucked playing it^^ But hey, after 50-100 battles or so you just have no idea how the game realy works.... you go somewhere, you shoot once (maybe), you die because you have no idea where to go... or you just get vaporized out of nowhere because no map knowledge and 50% crew. But hey, it was better than my first T4 tank. I thought "Heavy tanks are kinda strong and forgiving, so when you play a heavy tank at low tiers where there aren't a lot of heavies they must be pretty insane! Lets look at which line has the earliest heavy. Oh, the DW2. That looks like fun. : 3" Yea.... it wasn't. The Durchfallwagen 2 (german: diarrhea vehicle) was and still is aweful...

Never give up… when you’re Quacky Babs, playing an OP tank and firing only gold. Otherwise, reset as quickly as possible and start a new game.

I honestly feel the premium version of this tank, the T-28 F-30 (85mm) needs to be in tier 5 with that kind of firepower and DPM.

I used to play this one quite a bit. 354 games 59% WR. Good times.

This tank is really good for its tier. I got my first top gun with 7 kills in this tank when everyone else was hating on it.
My cousin literally quit and played the Swedish tech tree line after having constant loses in this tank. I pray that he overcomes his PTSD from this 😅

also the bot moves when bumped to let the real players move. to prevent standing in the way. bump him and he moves out of the way. bot makers know that bots suck so they do this so that real players are not blocked and can carry the game so the endgame reward gets higher and the winrate does not dip too low
I did *not* (this time) fall into the trap. The T-28 is my most-played tank with over 900 battles. It win percentage is about 7 points higher than the rest of the account (still a tomato).

The game was great but you have to realise that is not possible in something like the churchill VII.
Nice would like to see more non premium mid tier. 4 to 8.
Content idea: when you're done with the best/worst tanks of each nation, why not do like a "playing every (tank type) of (tier)" series to get everyone an idea of every tank in the game.
Bot wars happen very often on ANZ server. It’s almost a ghost server. It’s so stupid that WG removed Singapore server and now ANZ players have no choice but to play on their local server because the latency to HK server is unacceptable.
It sucks, tier 4-6 players either get plus 2 or minus 2 matchmaking. any tips?

It was like the second T4 tank i ever played and i utterly sucked playing it^^ But hey, after 50-100 battles or so you just have no idea how the game realy works.... you go somewhere, you shoot once (maybe), you die because you have no idea where to go... or you just get vaporized out of nowhere because no map knowledge and 50% crew.
But hey, it was better than my first T4 tank. I thought "Heavy tanks are kinda strong and forgiving, so when you play a heavy tank at low tiers where there aren't a lot of heavies they must be pretty insane! Lets look at which line has the earliest heavy. Oh, the DW2. That looks like fun. : 3"
Yea.... it wasn't. The Durchfallwagen 2 (german: diarrhea vehicle) was and still is aweful...
