Hey! I know that guy, he was the primary factor for me getting into the Sign business and learning how to paint signs. That was back in 1972 and I'm still at. Good stuff Pat, you still got it! Showcards, what a great medium but sadly a venue of the past; kinda like us!

This cat is good. Great detail, steady hand...doesn't get any better than this.

    Hello Jim.
I used Rich Art available at McLogans Sign Supply in LA. Sick Block also has tempera but not as pigmented.

Love your script "Remember to Think"
Right now in South Africa there is no specialist store (countrywide) anymore that keeps Signwriters brushes or gear. If we want it we have to import ourselves, It's a sad old digital frenzy

What brush would you use for lettering with Chroma paint?

Do you have a recommendation for Tempera Paint for showcard lettering?

Hello John. I will contact a friend of mine at Disneyland and see what they are using now as Rich Art no longer makes Show Card paint. I'll get back to you. Take care.

Can a person mix up Dr. Martin's Bleedproof white with tint of gouache?

      Valerie vanorden
Hello Valerie, Dr Martin's Bleed Proof White can be tinted with gouache or watercolor. I don't know how well it would work for show card lettering, but Dr Martin's BPW is our bestselling white for pen calligraphy at johnnealbooks.com
