I think a lot of activists today actually want things to be worse than the past so they feel like they're fighting the good fight. The worse they perceive conditions, the better they feel about their activism. Because they center their lives around activism. And because they've invested so much time and energy into their activism, they're highly resistant to believing that the problem isn't as bad as they think it is.

Look up Saul Alinsky. The father of “Activism”. He wrote the book “Rules for Radicals”. It’s a playbook for leftest. He dedicated it to Lucifer.

Yea i think another thing that help fuels that. is many later millenials and the generations after were taught how cool/great these people of previous times that were apart of things bigger than themselves like with the civil rights era and what not and now that we've come to a point were there really isn't alot to fight for they are willing to create problems that don't actually exist.

The demand for racism is much greater than the supply, so they have to fabricate more racism from thin air to be outraged by it. That's why you hear of such concepts as "microagressions" or "systemic racism". They need you to be upset about something, and to put you in a group, so they can pitch you against other group.
It's called struggle of classes, and it comes straight out of Marxist doctrine.

It's cognitive dissonance. People can experience physical discomfort or even pain when they try to simultaneously hold onto two or more conflicting beliefs, or when they try to hold onto a belief even when presented with evidence that the belief is incorrect.
The sad part about it, is that it's quite literally self-inflicted pain. If the person would accept the new information and revise their beliefs accordingly, instead of trying to hold onto what has been shown to be a delusion, they would have no pain.

I went to a predominantly white school. My grandmother was a librarian in an intercity school during the same time period i was in midle schol. The students in the intercity school got resources in technology, books, classes I didn't even have in highschool four years later. Not to mention all the donated cultural events they regularly got for free as ”underprivileged” that I as a white person never had access to much less for free. Somehow despite the desparity as a white person I was more privileged.

I was born in 1955. I grew up near a housing project. Most of my friends were black. As kids we didnt think about the color of the skin of our friends. They were just our friend. I interviewed a very intelligent automation engineer. I was impressed with his knowledge and demeanor. I knew he had to be dedicated and a hard worker to gain his knowledge. After he left the interview I checked his references and they confirmed what I thought. When he returned for the second interview he was sitting in the receptionist area with two other people and I forgot what he looked like, so I called out his name and then realized he was black. I was happy that was color blind, but concerned that I hadn’t picked up that detail during the first interview. He was an excellent hire and I was proud to have seen his potential. I retired and we moved on, but I am confident that he is still doing exceptional well. Even with my white privilege I believe his career will end up as good or better than my own. I support Trump!

Because they NEED more funding. Richer areas means higher costs of living, meaning those schools HAVE TO pay their employees a higher salary in order to survive. i.e. what's a perfectly acceptable salary for school employees in rural Kansas, would have them penniless and living on the streets in Silicon Valley. Richer area = more overhead expense for the district

It should theoretically level the schooling fields to what she asking for by creating competition it forces the crappy schools to do better.

But I feel sorry for that girl. She has been hypnotised by propaganda and the men around her who agree with her are the most to blame (and those men have been destroyed even more but I don’t feel as sorry for them because they have every opportunity to not be like this and to convince women around them that they’re right. I noticed that. Charlie was pointing out about segregation, the NBA, and such. Facts. But it's "anecdotal" to that guy? All I could hear was a paraphrase of the line from The Princess Bride - I don't think that word means what he thinks it means.

The only aspect of socialism I am for is equally funded public schools. Private schools should still be expensive and elite but public schools need to be held to a higher standard than they are currently. The average public school teachers are dangerously unqualified to teach dogs to do tricks but somehow they are teaching our children!

It would seem to me that unequal schools is what creates the need for school choice in the first place, no?

    • @carrie8994
      @carrie8994 3 місяці тому

Yes and if we had school choice, then the less desirable schools would have to actually work to improve themselves to retain students instead of letting themselves slide along the lower levels with a captive student base. It would be an improvement over what we have now for a lot of people.

question to ask yourself...what type of person approaches others to debate controversial topics in a public setting? usually people who are firm in their convictions.Argumentative personality types. If someone, (ANYONE) clearly breaks down someone's else's argument(s) what kicks in? Pride. Ego. Most people firm in their convictions do not want to be told, let alone recognize, that they are wrong to various degrees or even wholly. Why? It's a threat to Self. Freud's ego-ideal. It's cross-cultural, world-wide. Especially in a public setting. (interactions in a private setting have very different [the Hawthorne effect]). Kirk and others like them are going to have these chats with one type of people in front of a camera (al knowing fully well that they are being recorded) then label a 'whole group' as 'that'. Not the case. This chick, nor others like her, do not represent the democratic party. Kirk is older, wiser, more steeped in the topics he addresses. The people he talks to are, for the most part, younger, not as street-smart or as well read, and sadly, on top of that, this younger generation gets the majority of their ideas and subsequent convictions from social media 'short-bytes'. The right's attempt to use these nitwits as examples of stupidity on the left as a means to legitimize the right's agenda, is getting old. In other words Kirk, (and others like him) pick on people your own size. Do it privately, one on one, record (with permission) the outcomes of said talks, then publish your work. a very very different narrative will emerge and might I say it now, a more equalized outcome with workable solutions.

Masters degree in electrical engineering... Badass. My dad learnt electrical engineering in the army, when he joined he was a teenager that was couch surfing because my grandad kicked him out. He made a career out of it, worked hard and was able to provide a great life for my mum, sister and me.
    He is my hero.

back then we didn't have a lot of choices at 18. go to school and start paying our way at home. rent and food. they paid our way for 18 years. get a job and pay a lot more, go into the military or hit the streets and fend for yourself. because at 18 you where an adult and just couldn't stay there. they did their job, and my mom was my dad's wife not my maid or housekeeper. lol
and had no issue throwing clothes on the front lawn and changed the locks on the doors. lol

@@mjkk-nx3mk In my dad's case it was because when grandad got back from the war it had messed him up pretty bad and he started drinking and hitting the kids, when dad was 16 they had a punching match over it and granddad kicked him out. My dad is a strict guy and raised us to be our own people, but never once took a hand to us. I moved out when I was 17 because he taught me to be responsible for my own life. Funny how stuff that happened before you were around can shape you.

I could not agree more about modern life, I think the old adage of Hard men create soft times that create soft men that create hard times is very evident in today's culture. He is totally wrong about some things. Sweden does not have low rates of immigration at least not by comparison to USA.
Sweden, Norway and Finland have national military, I got no idea of why he thinks they don't.
Giving poor people worse schools is not beneficial to a country as some people who would otherwise have contributed, now wont.

You have the socialist societies would fail on the head. Just look at all our social services and how so many are taking advantage of them and being satisfied with remaining in poverty as opposed to getting a job and excelling. Why would i work hard if a deadbeat would be at the same level. There would also bo nothing new as entrepreneurs would not implement anything new.

Pointing it out makes those feel better by virtue signalling to the point where its them who are doing this to black and they don't see it. When they lose the argument they resort to name calling etc.
