I have an Omni pemf headband, I have a phantom pain because I'm a double AK amputee. I think that it works but the effect on pain is subtle.
I have tried the other settings on it which have to do with theta waves and things like that. I'm extremely neurotic and that definitely has an effect.
Being as obsessive as I am I'm very skeptical of things like this but I was already familiar with transcranial magnetic stimulation, which is essentially a more narrow/targeted version of the same thing, so was willing to try this.
I will say though acupuncture was a thousand times more effective. If you're afraid of needles you have to understand these are not even as wide as hypodermic needles, there is no pain involved in acupuncture if you go to someone who is not an idiot. And the level, the magnitude of the effect is wild.
They shouldn't need that many needles so if he whips out 45 needles then he's not good at his job.
