Hi Jennifer! Thank you so much! LET'S GO! This idiom lesson was awesome! The quiz was a good idea as well! Would you please make more lessons like this? I knew all these idioms but one. “Knock something out of a park” was a bit new to me.
Hi Jenny, i didn't number 2 and 8, you knock it out of the park means you 've done wery well on a certain task, and you can say your manager or your boss calls the shot at the company where you are working. There is one idiom i like particularly, being between à rock and à hard place, meaning you are in a difficult situation or stuck without solution between two problems, certainly not out of the Woods! Well, in french there is this idiom "je suis coincé entre le marteau et l enclume" which could be translate as " i am stuck between a hammer and an anvil" .Between a rock and à hard place is also à number of the Rolling Stones back in the eighties,i didn't the meaning at the time.thank you Jenny for the quality of you work, you rock!!!!! SERGE from France.
I love it when you repeat the vocabulary or expressions we just learned when you explain about another new vocabulary or expressions. A great way for me to memorize them.
One of your followers hopes to be with you on a show like this one day to say how he started to dream something great after having you as his kind teacher. It may take time, but the planet must see how Jennifer makes her students great in English being far away.❤❤❤❤❤❤
It is a very good practise to assess my English level. Some of them I know, but some of them I don’t know . Learning idioms is important, I know why sometime I can’t totally immediately get what ppl saying even I can hear what they said. For me, there’s still room for improvement. It’s good I learned new idioms today !!! Many thanks for your positive encouragement at the end of the lesson. 🎉❤
Hello, Jennifer.😊 A dime a dozen was completely new to me. You always knock your lessons out of the park, which is so true. I'm not pulling your leg! That's right!Let's go! Thanks a million❗😺🥳
I knew all of them but didn't find all of them😂 Doing the test in the heat of the moment requires rapidity and an extreme concentration to knock them out the park. BTW, I really liked this kind of lessons. You knocked it out of the park! Let's make a round of applause 👏 for our awesome teacher Tiffany!
Hi jennifer, Thank you for this wonderful video. Yesterday we went out for dinner with my employees. I started a small talk to break the ice and asking them about why we missed deadline. They all were beating around the bush. I didn't get direct answer from them. Then I said that not to crying over spilled milk. I know my company is in hotwater. But giving motivation to my employee is also important. Then I requested them not to spill the beans about our company's current situation to other dept employees Can you pls review it? and give your valuable feedback
🎉 thanks a lot teacher Jennifer.❤I just missed a couple. But I am quite proud of myself. You cannot translate them litterally into your native language. Often we have different idioms which mean the same thing: e.g. to be between the Hammer and the Anvil 😂 take care and carry on

Between a rock and a hard place=between the devil and the deep blue sea=between the hammer and the anvil. The last one is the very same in Italian.
