Hi Nanny and Moosie, So good to see you both. South Texas mornings have been so endearing with the cool air. Shakets will be perfect. Thank you so much for explaining "Shorts" to me. I'm so glad you can still make long videos. UA-cam sent me an email saying they are going to change my "handle". I don't have a channel, I'm an observer not influencer. I hope they leave me be. Well there is my rabbit hole. Take care! Love, Dee
@@rhondaandrews613 yes...they don't want me using my name and have given me a choice to pick one they have to offer me or will assign me one. Sounds a bit Hitler to me. But I will see what happens.
Hi Nanny, My husband heard your voice and came over to take a peek and said “ that’s you” meaning my hair color is the same as yours and I wear a jacket in the plaid red in the evenings when it gets cool in the house, we don’t turn the heat up, so on goes the red plaid jacket. Thank you for another great video….
Nanny and Moose, enjoyed seeing you both in your Pendleton wear. I could kick myself for giving away my red plaid Pendleton wool shirt a few years ago. It was still in great condition. It was purchased at a Dillard's department store in TX in the 90's. I also remember going to a Pendleton outlet store up in Vermont when I was in my early 20's. They made such beautiful clothes and they last forever!
Was it hard cooking for a family of 8 when everyone was home? Or is it easier cooking larger amounts? I live by myself so that is super hard. It’s easier for me and cheaper just to eat out. What you didn’t have in money you sure made up for 🥰✝️❤️💕
I had 5 kids after marrying my 2nd husband now I'm mostly just feeding myself.I find myself doing way too much snacking as I'm sure lots of people alone do.
No, Deborah…it was easier…Moose helped with the soup cooking the , too…we usually had more than8…the kids always had friends over…it was great…soups, slow cooker meals, etc…as the kids got older they all cooked, too..even the boys…lots of BBQ’s, etc…❤️
Your videos always cheer me up! Especially this one with the cozy, red plaid robes. I think that I am ready to face another Wisconsin winter. There's a blizzard scheduled for next weekend.I think that Oregon gets credit for Pendleton, and Maine gets credit for LL.BEAN. Anyway, there's a thrift shop in my little town that deals in these kind of cozy plaid vintage items. I will be checking out tomorrow and see if I can find one of these treasures. You guys look great. Happy November! ♥️🍁🍂🦃
You two are the loveliest people!! Thank you for sharing the Shackets. I definitely will try them. ! I loved moosies joke about the log. I'm still laughing 😁 You and Moosie are so loved❣ See you next time!!! Hugs ❤
Good afternoon Nanny and Moosie! Y’all are so precious to me! I love hearing the stories of your life together. Your Pendleton robes are beautiful, great for Christmas time by the cozy fireplace! And, when Moosie said…bye friends…God bless us all, tears came into my eyes. It was so sweet! Love y’all! 💕
Say goodnight Gracie this video ending put me in mind of that!! Delightful as always thanks for sharing just today a young woman iwas chatting with told me her friend is expecting her second baby and they choose not to know what they are baby like it was for us never knowing 😉Sweet to hear that !!!
Love using those Parmesan cheese empty jars for things like baking soda or a flour shaker for baking! Great video on how to use vintage clothing to be “in style” now!
Well it just couldn’t have been a better video. Loved it from the beginning to the wonderful sweet ending with the both of you sharing memories and Moose being his wonderful funny sweet self. Great robes. You both look great in your Tartan plaids Buttons or not 😅 Love and hugs to you both. Caroline
Didnt realize I've been wearing shackets all my life 😉 Great video, loved the rabbit hole story - those keep us going as we age, don't they? Just a great, chatty video, thanks! Love & hugs to you both from West Texas--
I loved this video. It made me remember the Pendleton shirt my Dad used to have. It was green plaid and my Mom would even wear it. You two look so cozy in your robes. Love the bunny hole stories and Moose's Dad jokes. lol.
I love Pendleton anything! You both looked so warm and cozy in your reds. 50 years ago, on a drive home to MO to see Mom & Dad, I picked up a plaid wool throw blanket at a yard sale and immediately felt the quality. Not knowing the brand, I gladly paid the $2 and gave it to my parents when I got to their house. They knew, they loved it and used it for years. Dad gave it back to me after Mom passed. It is still in perfect condition, just very soft from years of washes. "bunny hole!"🤨 Always love when you share your sweet memories 🥰and family stories. Liked how you dropped in pics of shackets, I had not seen any of the longer ones before. They're pretty. I would say I can't wait to see your shorts but that sounds OOPS too late.😄 I actually like shorts. It'll be fun to see what you do with 50 seconds, or 25 if Moosie joins in! I already know you'll be my favorite! I'm going next door right now to tell my kids how I slept like a log last night. That was so good🤣🤣Love you both.
Greetings Nanny! I used to have a couple of those Pendleton jackets given to me by my mother. One was the green and navy plaid and one was the red plaid. I loved seeing you two!! Love and blessings ♥️🙏
Love the plaid robes. So classic. Like you, even though the technology had just come out to know the sex of the baby, I told the doctor I didn’t want to know. And I did that with the three of them. I wanted to be surprised. The salmon dish looked great. I love the button interaction, I got a chuckle out of that. It was a nice surprise to see your video up, the time goes by so quickly. I was starting to get withdrawal symptoms not getting your videos😂. Great to see you and Moosie, you both look handsome in those robes. Nice idea. Have a good week. ❤
Everything is so beautiful- stories and style. I love salmon might try that recipe. I love your pot holder too. Looks like it would make a beautiful wallpaper. I have seen the UA-cam shorts. What is the purpose for them? I thought they might be to advertise the channel. ❤️
Great video..I love the bunny hole stories. Makes my day. 🙂 Could you show a couple pictures of you and Moosey early in your married life together? Was he always so playful? 💕
Oh you have Temptations! LOL I LOVE that stuff. I collect blue and black myself. Moosie just loves to aggravate you, doesnt he?? LOL Why are husbands like that? Mine does the same thing. They are ALWYAS 12 yeares old!! LOL
Yes, Deborah.he was…he was our lightest baby of six..but he’s over six feet tall= now..the Army made you keep your weight down…all the other 5 were over 10 pounds…❤️
My son is 6’3. My daughter is 5’8 and when we take pictures because I’m very petite all you can normally see is my face. My daughter is due 12/20 with fraternal boy/girl twins. Good Christmas 🎄 present.
This was just a darling video with your sharing of your beautiful plaids and the stories of them. Love Pendleton clothing and blankets and and and..........Yes, Pendleton, Oregon is where we always would get items. We live about four hours from that store and often in days gone by our friends would take road trips and stock up for Christmas gifts. I loved your recipe and it looks delicious. To make it a bit fluffier I wonder if a dash of baking soda or baking powder might make it rise a bit higher if you want that. At the commissary I get the substitute eggs in carton and they fluff up very high so using part of that with your eggs may get the result you want. I loved the idea. My hubby loves casseroles so I know that would go over well with him. It's fun that winter is coming on as now I believe many of us are wanting to make the warmer cozy meals for winter. You look lovely today Nanny as always and Moosie was so sweet in his caring and teasing with you. Love the companionship and interaction you both share. Love your channel and I am sure you will figure out the "shorts" as you are a whiz with these things. Blessings and have a beautiful rest of your week and weekend. Thanks for triggering many memories of mine as well.
Nice vlog Nanny I love you and Moosie’s Pendleton robes. I love plaid so fallish 🍁and ❄️ wintery! The recipe looks so yummy. I have received so many really delish recipes from you and I should say thank you for them! I get bored with cooking so nothing like a new recipe to motivate me!!! 😊🎉 I love the jackets 🧥 but prefer the longer ones on me with a bootie! I think I told you I bought a really lovely corduroy button down shirt in a beige tone from Walmart and it was only $16.99 but I wiggled them down a dollar on it because there was a small spot on the cuff of the sleeve and it was the last of all colors in my size. So somethings better than nothing! 😊 I am looking forward to seeing you doing a short! Such fun! God bless us all and thanks for the prayers for my son. Things are looking up!! Prayer is such a wonderful gift. Thanks Nanny! Hugs, Elizabeth XX 😘🤗🙏♥️💐🌹
It’s great to see Bill standing next to you. Your plaids are beautiful. Your salmon looks delicious. You are such an inspiration. Thank you for cooking. We went to New England last month. Where did your daughter go that she loved it?
Looks delicious. But I think the salmon should go in raw with the blanched broccoli? Also I would put all the dry ingredients on top of the lot and not into the egg and milk mixture. Keep the eggy mixture free to rise. Just my thinking. I'm no cook!!
Dear Nanny and Moose. I love the Pendleton products. I bought my husband their shirts whenever I could. They are still in the closet. They used to have a Pendleton store in Disneyland. They also carried the products at the western store at Knotts Berry Farm. 1960 was our first Christmas as newlyweds as well. This has been the year for new specialists, tests, poking and prodding for me. Then on Halloween my home was broken into. I was home and my dog’s barking and my calling her scared him off. But not before a lot of damage was done to my house. I have been a mess! It destroys your sense of well being and I don’t know if I will ever feel safe again. In just a few days my life has turned upside down. My alarm system did not activate because of a technicality. I do have him on camera, however he was wearing a ski mask. I have had more lights installed and they will be back to install more cameras. That person has no idea what he did to me. If my dog had not scared him away I might not be here. I am going through a lot and could certainly use more prayers. Blessings to you both, love, Sharon
OhhSharon….I just can’t imagine what you have been through..thank God you are ok…that person must have been in the house for awhile if damage was done…and on top of that…you are not feeling well..I hope the new security systems, etc are well set and your dog takes care o f you…I ‘m sure this has added to your stress level…can you stay with your son for awhile? My love and intense prayers are with you…big hugs, ❤️🙏🙏🥰
@@crushingtheir80snannyandmoose thank you Nanny. I have always faced everything head on with strength. This seems to be the straw that broke me. As I said I really need prayers. To overcome the insecurity and to face my health issues. Also focus to carry out some things that need to be done. My son’s mother in law passed a week ago. He has so much on his plate. I have my wonderful brave Molly. At least God watched over her and I. It is just so frightening.
Shackets are not flattering especially in those large plaids that make a woman look larger. There are better choices like a blazer or bomber jacket that look more stylish.
Sharon Woryn.... true about plaids but I am a very senior citizen at age 79 and I go for comfort. Not trying to look a certain way and certainly not looking for a boyfriend at my age😄so I just pick out a pretty color or colors depending on if it's a plaid or solid and get the size that will fit very loose and hang to about thigh length. At my age it's comfort that comes first👍😀 Nannie how about your thoughts?❤️🥰

Take care! Love, Dee
I wonder what they meant changing ur handle,I'm a watcher only, hope they don't mess with me either.
We do love our plaids, Sunshine Gal…❤️
I made one of the robes out of plaid fleece, my husband loves it..last year’s Christmas present
How fun, Maggie…what a great personal present! ❤️
Thank you, Mary Jane…I hope you find something wonderful at the Thrift Store!…❤️
That’s funny, Jane..glad you enjoyed..❤️
Love the bunny hole stories and Moose's Dad jokes. lol.
Wonderful memory of mom and dad, Willa❤️
I love Pendleton anything! You both looked so warm and cozy in your reds.
50 years ago, on a drive home to MO to see Mom & Dad, I picked up a plaid wool throw blanket at a yard sale and immediately felt the quality. Not knowing the brand, I gladly paid the $2 and gave it to my parents when I got to their house. They knew, they loved it and used it for years. Dad gave it back to me after Mom passed. It is still in perfect condition, just very soft from years of washes. "bunny hole!"🤨
Always love when you share your sweet memories 🥰and family stories.
Thanks for commenting, NLC, and enjoying the videos…❤️
Thank you, Maria…so glad you enjoyed the video…thanks for your nice comments…❤️
Everything is so beautiful- stories and style. I love salmon might try that recipe. I love your pot holder too. Looks like it would make a beautiful wallpaper. I have seen the UA-cam shorts. What is the purpose for them? I thought they might be to advertise the channel. ❤️
I really don’t know, Carmen…❤️
Great video..I love the bunny hole stories. Makes my day. 🙂 Could you show a couple pictures of you and Moosey early in your married life together? Was he always so playful? 💕
Watch some of our “The Early years” videos, J…and you’ll see more of us as we were raising our 6 KIDDOS…f un years.thanks for commenting.
@@crushingtheir80snannyandmoose Ok...great....I'll do that. Thanks!
I watched your Early Years videos. Very interesting and loved the pictures...thank you!
Oh you have Temptations! LOL I LOVE that stuff. I collect blue and black myself. Moosie just loves to aggravate you, doesnt he?? LOL Why are husbands like that? Mine does the same thing. They are ALWYAS 12 yeares old!! LOL
Was Biily born in August? My son Brandon was born August 25 in Georgia and weighed 9 pounds 9 oz and 22 inches. I swelled up so bad that summer.✝️❤️💕
Thanks for the baking tips, MLM…BAKING powder probably would have helped.❤️
Happy to hear things are poking up for your son, Elizabeth…stay strong…and thanks for enjoying the video.❤️
It’s great to see Bill standing next to you. Your plaids are beautiful. Your salmon looks delicious. You are such an inspiration. Thank you for cooking. We went to New England last month. Where did your daughter go that she loved it?
Hi, Camille…they went all up the coast from Boston to Maine and stayed ion Cape Cod, too. They stayed is some great &B’s…❤️
@@crushingtheir80snannyandmoose we did the same. Loved Kennebunkport and Breton Woods the most.
Looks delicious. But I think the salmon should go in raw with the blanched broccoli? Also I would put all the dry ingredients on top of the lot and not into the egg and milk mixture. Keep the eggy mixture free to rise. Just my thinking. I'm no cook!!
You are probably right, Mia…thank you..❤️
Dear Nanny and Moose.
How do we ‘like’ on shorts?
There’s a thumb’s up bacon under the video, zMaxine…❤️
I'm going on 73 and shackets are wonderful! Just know how to wear them.
I am 79 also and I love style first but comfort too! Had no idea these were Shackets lol
