Whew! What a performance! One compliment I may offer is that Lawrence Welk's orchestra musicians were virtuoso performers. Myron Floren was stellar! Best accordionist I've ever heard! (And the accordion is not an easy instrument to master.) For many, Lawrence Welk's music is deemed "old fashion", and "out of step". But .... In 2024, I am OLD, "out of fashion' with the times, and "in step" with the best music ever made! [I still recall watching Lawrence Welk every Saturday night at my grandparents' house in New Orleans, LA --- another hotbed of outstanding music! JAZZ!]
That was totally awesome., very very enjoyable . Iam 72 and been enjoying Lawrence Welk every since I was 5 and not gonna stop now 1 and 2 and.....................
Despite this performance being a Myron Floren driven arrangement, I think Paul Humphrey and his temple block beside his drums steal the show here. They really represent the horse galloping across the scenery.
