I have incredibly low self esteem, even though my appearance is good enough even so i never post picture on social media coz of fear of being judged, can anyone tell me how to overcome this? I have no personality and attitude at all
IMO, the final version, after your retouch, is too saturated. It exposes every imperfection of your skin and drastically changes its color; natural pink tint of your skin -- gone. When you look at Rembrandt, there's always a point of reference in his composition. It makes the light and the color change more natural, inherent. I understand that your intention is to draw viewer's attention to naturally occurring chiaroscuro, so you emphasized the shadow. Maybe, it shouldn't be deepen that much; lines aren't too bold and too accentuated. People look nice in a warm light, because it delicately smooths the edges that's why the final result is bit off. Your understanding of light and shadow in relation to composition and texture is still pretty decent.
exactly. every single video I've seen from him isn't actual photography advice. just stuff that he does to make the final product look more saturated. he even edits the second photo and not the first one. one thing that is true is to find a good angle. Another thing is to not edit your photos beforehand, and instead get the saturation and exposure of the camera set correctly so that the photo doesn't look like garbage. You always edit your photos in post, so that they look better. Taking Photography class has helped teach me not to be a complete noob at photography. This guy is also using the most basic camera with built in filters. Sure he may edit the photo in post but most of this final products don't look at all like the depiction of real life would, just an oversaturated mess of an image.
@@novafire9811 totally. I didn't want to be unpleasant. After writing this comments, I saw another video of his and my soul left the body. I thought he had good intentions and got too crazy with retouch, but it's ridiculous.
@@orangeski6791 it's plain and boring, it makes the image flat and makes people look round. It takes light out of the eyes giving it a lifeless appearance and much more. This guy used a setting on the phone to make everything more beautiful, it's a softwa faking everything you see. He also didn't use direct sunlight by the looks of it. He has a controled room and the light is way too warm and soft for it. It's a filter or he, a warm light or a really low sunset. But because the beauty software on the phone the light dots in his eyes are not jugeable, so I can't tell exactly. The dots are big tho, so it's again not just regular plain sunlight since it also affects the pupils and has to make them way smaller also creating a weird feeling to a photo. If you really want interesting photo's, the best is to play with soft light and shadows. Soft light is light that isn't direct from a light source. There's has to be an item that allows light to pass through it, that way it is softened and it spreads. Don't place the light in front, but at a slight angle so the light softly darkens to one side of the face, this creates depth and that's needed since camera's don't know depths, only contrasts. It's up to you how much contrast you like. Direct light is also called a point light since it comes from a relative small surface.
The only time of the day I can take photos with sunlight is when I’m at school without my phone, the sun is up for just a few hours in the winter here.
I really appreciate it . I got one really dope one . Only minus is when u at sunlight, u might twitch your face or squint your eyes n create all sorts of problems in your face 😢😂😂
