0:44: 💪 The video discusses what to do if you can only go to the gym once a week and focuses on maximizing the effectiveness of a workout and prioritizing hypertrophy.
3:28: 💪 In an ideal world, the speaker recommends using a lateral raise machine for strong mid delts and a pendulum squat for quads, and a seated leg curl for hamstrings.
9:44: 💪 In this video, the speaker demonstrates a lower body workout routine and shares tips on bicep and tricep training.
13:17: ! The video discusses different workout routines for training once, three times, four times, or five times per week.

I think it was Arthur Jones and/or Mike Mentzer that said DIPS are the #1 best upper body exercise if you can only pick one. Body weight or weighted.
I’m 61 and do HIT. Push/pull/legs and take 72 hours off after each workout.
Gives me much better gains than volume, helps prevent injuries, and only takes me about 45 minutes for each workout.

For me as Trainer, this was very informative video.
I agree with a lot, and i think to create that understanding where the tension is going to be and know the angles. I think it’s easier to setup your workouts
I wanna point that out, Even for advanced lifter it’s nice to Get an understanding of that. That’s how you can evolve yourself in the Long run
    Great job Mikey.

    Thanks for the great video!
    You mentioned skipping calves...
You could just throw in some calf raises while doing your leg presses to save time.
Specially if you're using a machine. With free weights it's harder to be stabilized when you're putting so much weight on your forefoot.

I don't think I'd ever like to be in a situation where I could only train once a week. I fully agree with the Matt Wenning approach of 4 days upper/lower conjugate training keeping the sessions to around an hour. Failing that I think 3 days seems good as well.

    • @Superzesh101
      @Superzesh101 2 роки тому +4

No one would like to be in that situation, but life just doesn't allow it sometimes. I've got a job that requires me to prep at home and I've got 3 kids who all need my attention, so it can be difficult to get to the gym. I do get there 3 times a week, so I'll use a PPL program.

@@cherb3145 that's also mind-muscle connection. For example my left biceps and triceps is smaller, than the right. I train them separately as well, but it took me months to realise, no matter how hard I concentrate, I can't make my muscles on my left arm to contract as good as my right. Weird. But I won't give up and I can say doing an extra set with the left sloooowly slooowly seems to be working and the size is catching up to the right arm.

Love the vids, the content, the inspiration. You may want to think about taking a break with the sun. The rays are devastating on the long term health of your skin. Dark skin definitely highlights muscle but it ages you prematurely and can develop into something very serious. Not trying to be a buzz kill just hoping that you are considering that in your fitness journey. Content and advice on fitness and business acumen is top notch and definitely one of my fav channels to watch.

What about if you train solely at home?
The pendulum squat - looks awesome.
He is a thought, that routine, if done twice per week should yield fantastic results.

7:15 - you’re loading your glutes on the RDL because your bending your knees too much so you basically disadvantaging the hamstrings and getting into further hip flexion so glutes are stretched even more

Thats what i was thinking too. Little technique change and he would feel more hamstrings, no point getting into the squat position in RDL
