The story behind this is that sir Antony Hopkins compossed this peace in the late 60's while he was a classical musican himself. Never dared doing anything with it for years. After many, many years his wife convinced him to let it be played en recorded. He reached out to Andre Rieu and finally he could hear his own composetition
Correct. He was 19 years old when he wrote this beautiful music. Every time when I hear it, thinking of that this could be perfect music in a typical Italian movie or a scene in The Godfather, at the wedding in Part I. Fan of this wonderful beautiful music that makes you smile 😊
Antonie Hopkins saw Andrè and his orchestra play and said ,Andrè and his orchestra ,I want them to play my walsh and contacted him himself. Awesome I think that is...
Yay my idol, best actor ever!! And to see him humble enough to just between the people in the audience is just wow, just a legend! Not to mention the fact that the people actually give him his privacy and not running up to him for autographs or pictures, but just let him enjoy what he wrote, also wow and only in The Netherlands, where our motto is "Doe maar gewoon, dan doe je al gek genoeg"! Thanks for the reaction on this absolutely loved it!❤❤
My lifepartner is a lot of time abroad for his work. So my younger brother asked me to go to a concert of Andre Rieu and other concerts. What was special about it, my brother only listened to hardrock, but now he also listens, , to other music, he even listens to classical music.
Imagine that what you composed and what you've heard so many times in your own head, now is performed. And by the looks of Sir Anthony Hopkins face he totally 'agreed' with how the performance should be. The music is even better now you know the 'background'. Thanks for sharing and your reaction.
Absolutely beautiful performance! This beautiful square is called the Vrijthof in the centre of Maastricht. I used to play there as a kid. I remember the moment they found the 2000 year old Roman graveyard while building the car parking under the square. The Romans stayed at Mosam Trajectum (Maastricht) for 400 years!
they can dance out there, but I think they just wanted to listen to the music and feel it in their hearts. You should see "The Blue Danube" of Andre Rieu, there you can see all of them dancing :)
This is Joyce. I enjoy the music & concert. presently Andre is down . The covid. Time for mask. Breathing, heart problems. Sore throat. Rest zzzz so u can get well.i am a retired support worker, looking after srs. Try Fresh fruits. Take care
Maybe check out Jermaine Jackson with the orchestra performing Smile. He called André because Michael told him he should perform with a large orchestra, and when he saw André and the orchestra perform he knew that it had to be with him. It is so touching because the one that needs the meaning of the song the most is Jermaine himself!
you like funny things, right. This is a video from Andre Rieu, featuring a 6-year old boy playing a drum. Look at the face of this little boy and the reactions from the audience. I think you're gonna like it. I like your reactions btw, specially of course on the Emma Kok video. You call it inspiring....it is just that to a hell of a lot of people. Thanks very much.
First time seeing a reaction to Andre other than when you did Emma & Andre--- love both reactions. I've been following Andre many years. Absolutely beautiful music & sometimes very funny too. Check out Andre Rieu " Old MacDonald" it is hilarious. Thank you 😊😊😊😊
Those seats on the Vrijthof, Maastricht, that close to the stage are not for ordinary people. Those seats will cost you quite a bit. Though, fair is fair: cheapest tickets for a rockconcert might cost you more nowadays.
Hi, Unfortunately I already know the song, so I can't react to it, only a cover version from somebody else. If you have more suggestions, please add them to the googleform. You can find it under every video. Please read the rules before requesting. Thanks
😲 I disliked it.... This is the first time I disliked a video on your channel. Not for your reaction, but for not showing (and probably not knowing) the introduction about this waltz and that it was composed by Sir Anthony Hopkins himself before his acting career. Can't remember the reason behind it, but back then both came in contact, probably exchanged some info, and by surprise Andre Rieu adapted the composition slightly to what you hear now. I think it's an amazing composition, first written by a very gifted actor and as it seems musician... What do you know.... It must have been an emotional cooperation in despite both being, what is it? .... 150 years combined? Sir Anthony Hopkins and Andre Rieu both are individuals who don't need judging anymore. Just the pleasure of experiencing their being to the world is enough, innit? Remarkable video. I love it... The only downside is the link they provided you. It must have been a mistake... Keep going anyway 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻 This channel is the reaction channel of reaction channels... 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🌷
Unfortunately the one that you are talking about is a VEVO video and I don't react to these videos because of the block on YT. The discord informed me with the rest of the info. Thanks and have a great day.

André Rieu is Anthony Hopkin's idol.
How great would it be to compose something this beautiful. Well done, Sir Anthony. Usually, the audience just dance in the aisles.
Antonie Hopkins saw Andrè and his orchestra play and said ,Andrè and his orchestra ,I want them to play my walsh and contacted him himself. Awesome I think that is...
They are friends,Anthony stayed in Andre´s house in the Netherlands,he is a big fan of Andre
Anthony stayed a few nights at a small hotel on the Vrijthof. He was extremely friendly for the hotel staff. Totally down to earth person.
What is music....this is music!
