Let's talk about the music for a second. The orchestration of Masters of the Universe: Revelation is excellent. This clip of the behind the scenes rocks ! Can't help to get goosebumps.
I truly appreciate the level of giving, hard work, dedication and professionalism to elevate the music score the way they did. We all aware they couldn't use prior music due to rights and so forth.
They created a very dynamic, elevating music score that often goes for movies but went for an animated show to give us something new and high quality.
In the middle of a pandemic creative projects have suffer in a big way. I guess the powers of Eternia have a far reach. Let's give it a chance we haven't seen it all.
This orquestra is rocking it.. very thankful for all of them. Imagine this being played LIVE at a Comicon or at Special Event with a gigantic screen!!! By the power of Grayskull !
Goosebumps for sure. The Brass horn and bass strings section of the orchestra is off the hook!!!

This guy is taking all over Hollywood composing. He did outlander, GOD OF WAR, agents of sheild, he man, and Even made Akira ifukube's godzilla theme somehow even more badass. What a legend

@@Kossi. I never really watched it. But it is a really good theme, however the god of war and agents of sheild themes are my favorite in the music composing industry.
@@nerdtheorists BSG 2003 is what introduced me to his work. And I'd say that his work on BSG is almost unparalleled. He was given almost complete freedom to compose with only minimal direction.
Gaeta's Lament, Wander My Friends, Lords of Kobol, Precipice, Storming New Caprica, and The Heart of the Sun. So many amazing pieces from the BSG, I own all 4 season scores and consider it worth the purchase.

Nah, what you're feeling is the Bear touch. Because you can also say "i can feel BSG" or any other Bear composition. It's his thing, creating genuinely good music that's not the same, yet somehow still instantly has the Bear touch. One of the few artists in the field i can instantly identify from sound alone.
@@aserta Yep, that's it. What you can hear definitely is the Bear touch, not specifically God of War. It might remind us of previous scores, but it's still its own thing. You could say it has a Conan vibe to it regarding the whole soundtrack, as sort of an hommage to Poledouris wonderful music. But still. It stays a McCreary score all over. And it's damn good! ;)
I am proud of him because he is slowly getting the spotlight slowly and maybe become as famous as other composer like John Williams and Hans Zimmer.
He’s man with talent in music and unique , unconventional compared to other scores.

It's loads of inspiration from Basil Poledouris' "Conan The Barbarian" also. I love what McCreary has done with this! The best part of the show!

Gorgeous theme, mr. McCreary! It's always great and unfortunately a rarity today to hear music from composers with a clear musical voice and style and I adore it it so much in your scores. This piece really reminds me of your orchestral writing from God of War, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Rim of the World or Cloverfield franchise. Pleasant memories :)
If you want some good composers with a distinct style, I can recommend some like Toby Fox, Trent Reznor and Charlie Clouser. Toby's work is very based on 8-bit arcade games mixed with rock music, especially for Undertale and Deltarune while Trent's work is very rooted in synthesizers and piano, with heavy processed distorted guitars that almost sound like sirens. Charlie's work is most recognizable from the Saw franchise, he has a style that's like a mix of industrial ambience and gritty orchestra and he even used to be a keyboardist for Trent's band, Nine Inch Nails

When I heard this music for the first time, I felt so nostalgic, I also thought this was the 80s He man theme. So beautiful.
Bear mc creary does wonders with music its both beautiful and otherworldly not to mention the emotional rollacoaster it gives just hearing it this is no exception. The music fo masters of the universe takes you back in time to the days one would sit and watch he man every saturday morning of imagine epic battles with the action figures. It brings for the child like wonder and joy every he man fan had in their childhood while elevating to new height. It feels like being on eternia hearing the epic tales of he man and the masters battling evil and saving the day.
Dear Mr. McCreary...Please (don't) stop making these awesome theme songs! They have no business slapping this hard!

By the time the full season aired, Kevin Smith's Revelation was really a love letter to the 1980s cartoons and Filmation toys. It still powers Adam as He-Man and making Teela its star as the new Sorceress and custodian of the energy of Grayskull. There is a lot more of depth to Man at Arms, Cringer and even Evil Lyn, who realizes she is more than just Skeletor's concubine. Seeing things like Eternia's previous champions and Savage He-Man further prove that while nostalgic, Masters of the Universe: Revelation is the fearless direction the property needed.

We recorded one or two episodes at a time. We had five hours of music in all! The sessions were INTENSE.

Eternia has always been a land where both magic and technology existed. In Revelation, the differences in philosophy between people who relied on magic and those who focused on technology were emphasized due to Tri-Klops' cult and the decline of magic on Eternia. Seeing the two sides pitted against each other was a unique feature of Revelation and one that added a greater depth to Eternian lore.

Masters of the Universe is a media franchise with a sword and sorcery theme that revolves around the conflict between He-Man against Skeletor on the planet Eternia, with a vast lineup of supporting characters in a hybrid setting of medieval sword and sorcery and science fiction technology.
Revelation is the best adaptation: depicted Teela and Prince Adam as actual friends on equal footing.
The first time Revelation depicts Teela and Adam talking to each other, it is clear they are friends. She teases him, but he teases her right back. This is a friendship of push and pull, and they care about each other equally.

Man at Arms was a capable warrior, a brilliant strategist and one of He-Man's greatest allies.

Coming back here to praise this series, which yes, has its positive and negative points, but in my opinion, it was an excellent initiative. I really liked it so far, and I'm already looking forward to part 4. Taking into account that parts 01 and 02 are related to Revelation and that part 03 is related to Revolution.
