"That's a killer song" I see what you did there 😂
@@abrahamelcantautor5540 there’s a video that links no body no crime to i did something bad, it’s AMAZING
i love how you've been lowkey fanboying over taylor swift.
I think every reactor that has reacted to ONE song from Taylor's discography will turn a Swiftie
oh no doubt....I've always really admired her songwriting abilities and melodic ear. She's one of the best
@@folkwhore8322 it's happened to every single reactor I've seen that didn't start out swifties.
Taylor does really love her big plot twists in the bridge/ last chorus. She talked about it in the long pond studio sessions, said it was one of her favorite techniques from country music, she uses it a lot
definitely....it's an awesome technique and one I try to use as well. I didn't know she mentioned it in the long pond studio sessions videos. That's cool!
@@DerrikRockne She mentioned it before performing the last great american dynasty.
I'm still waiting for movies on
• The Last Great American Dynasty
• August+Betty+Cardigan storyline
• No Body, No Crime
@@ANKI7033 how did I forget that masterpiece and maybe cowboy like me too
I want Marjorie story coz her life kinda interesting i can't find anything on UA-cam about her 😭
According to Taylor and everyone she works with, she crafts lyrics for songs so incredibly quickly, with some songs being written under a day, that these small intricacies, rhymes, and wordplay inside of her lyrics have to be either meticulously put together within that small time frame or just instinctual for her. And I don't know which one would be more impressive.
It has to be instinctual for her now considering how many songs she's written....but either way it's fascinating!
She IS a genius!!! I love the story telling on this one. I love how the first “no body, no crime” is about cheating. There’s no body so I can’t prove the crime bc I haven’t SEEN him with her. Then the second is the meaning of him killing her. And then Taylor killing him!!! Such an incredible story teller
She is a genius at English but she's NOT a genius at driving sometimes. When she was a teenager she had multiple crashes. She said so in an interview.
Ed and Taylor are like really really good friends! So you're not off at all. This really calls out her old music though.
If you don’t know, crime junkie (a crime podcast) worked on a story for this song, which I recommend! so I’m here to tell y’all the story!
Natalie and Este live in a small town and they meet up at Olive Garden every Tuesday to drink some wine, eat dinner, and just chat. One day Este doesn’t show up for wine and dinner with Natalie, and she is very suspicious. Natalie calls Este’s sister, Bethany, and Bethany says she hasn’t seen Este. Natalie and Bethany go to check Este’s job, and they say she hasn’t shown up to work. So, they go to report Este as missing, but the police say that Este’s husband, Brandon, already reported her missing. They also see that Brandon has new tires on his truck, and he had just gotten new tires a week before getting these. A few weeks go by, and Brandon is with a new girlfriend (his mistress) named Crystal. He gave Crystal all her jewelry, and gave Crystal Este’s grandma’s ring. Bethany and Natalie are furious, and decide to do something about this. Bethany calls Brandon and acts like it’s Crystal, and asks him to meet her at a hotel room. He agrees because of his cockiness, and takes the bait. Natalie is a house cleaner, and when they kill Brandon Natalie is at ease to clean up the scene. Since Natalie also has a boating license, and they take Brandon’s body and throw him in a far away river. Bethany works as an insurance agent, and takes out a huge life insurance policy and puts it under Brandon’s name, and puts it as Crystal being the heir to it. Bethany and Natalie go to Olive Garden to celebrate, and Crystal sees them there. She starts screaming that they killed Brandon and their trying to frame her for it, but she eventually gets kicked out. Natalie and Bethany then silently toast to their achievement, because if there’s no body, there’s no crime.
I just listened to this podcast and they got me, I got to the end and thought it was just like this song then realized what they did lol
I think the only thing better than her music is watching people hear it and love it as much as me. It’s like I get to re live it
I totally agree with that, is like a drug for me to watch reactions haha an people discovering clues on the lyrics, oh wow, theee best.
very small thing, but I’m so glad Derrik is reacting to the song with the lyric videos
“That’s a *killer* song” I chuckled
I mean you're not wrong. Just search in the internet about, "Best songwriter in the world" or "Best songwriter of all time" and Taylor's profile would appear in that lists.

THANK YOU 😊
Would you consider listening to (not even to react to!) the rest of folklore or evermore?
Thanks for your videos :)
Cover of a song you've never heard for cowboy like me from evermore pleasee
I love your analysis of the song!
Also I absolutely disagree with genius, that absolutely is a bridge, she changes the melody, lyrics structure, and production, so...
yeah...I bet if you asked Taylor she would consider that a bridge. Thanks for watching Gail!
From a OG Swifty, if you’re into imagery and storytelling... three words: All Too Well
I’m living for these taylor reactions. I love when people appreciate her pure talent
The fact that she wrote that song single handedly 👑😌💅 Queeeeen
The best songwriter !!! He said it guys 😌😌
She's a genius!! The way she comes up with all of these intricate lyrics so quickly and is able to write so many great songs constantly is just amazing.
I like the way she tells the story straight without any hidden meanings.
God, I just realised that in the official lyric video for the song the letters s and t have been written and connected. 🔥 Taylor's a genius!
I love this song because it feels like a movie that I would watch! Carrie Underwood sings a song two black cadillacs and it has a similar story line and is also a fun mystery to listen to! Taylor always does kill it with her lyrics and delivery! I love this new album it’s so edgy and deep 💕 thanks for reviewing this one it’s fun to hear your perspective
Yes my thoughts too when I first heard it! It’s like two black cadillacs & goodbye earl combined!
"No body, no crime" is one lf Taylor's best songs and "evermore" best song, and nobody can't change my mind
I love how the phrase “no body no crime” goes from helpless to frustrated to delicious
The second you picked up your guitar and already could play the song....mind blown. Subscribed.
“It sounds like Ed sheeran. This is a compliment, I think”
*instantly notices Ed Sheeran’s albums in the back*
Ed and Taylor have collaborated a lot in the past so I'd think that they've rubbed off on each other a lot
This was my favourite song of this album
I’m so obsessed with this song man
you are probably the only person who got the plot of the song right lol finallyyyy
Wow, I’m feeling so pleased that he got the song in the first go. 🙈
i just love how people like appreciate Taylor's artistry and song writing ability to paint a picture and i love to see how she inspires people especially when those people are talented just like you are :)
if you enjoy this, you should check out "champagne problems." IT'S INCREDIBLE! not as dark as this one but it's amazing how she built the storyline that goes present-past-future. the song no body, no crime makes you feel like coursing through day to day events
This reaction video was just so great. The way you immediately understood the concept, the complexity of the storytelling and the pov switches... just wow. I have loved this song the day it came out and I still can’t process how well it is written. Anyway I just wanted to say that’s the first video from you I watch and you did amazing (don’t even get me started on how you improvised the exact chords from nowhere like???). Thanks !
From a long time TS fan
omg i love it when you started playing the guitar after just hearing the song. it's amazing!
i think the ed song you're thinking of miiiight be "nina" or "don't" (dont is more popular so maybe that's it)
This song is sooo good, I love it
I was thinking of you fanboying her then i checked you even put fanboying in your time stamps ahahahaha
This song is a whole masterpiece.
Taylor is a big Chicks fan, so this is an updated and much darker take on Goodbye, Earl. I want the tutorial!
I'm here just to say that right after Taylor whispers the last "Die", you can hear crickets... Cuz either she's still dumping the body in the lake or it's just the loneliness of the forest, dark and cold, where he lays, sunk. HER MIND 🤯It's an eerie, creepy image that I need now in a movie 🤣
It's a killer song ☺️😎😏
so impressive that you’re able to just play that riff without reading music
I’m obsessed with the way you talk, and the way your brain works when it comes to music. Love how you deconstruct everything and analyze everything. Besides that, that beard...
Wow great job man! I really enjoy your videos and musical analysis
Praying to have even just a half of your guitar skills.Anyway I love how you analyzed this song from the instrumental to the lyrics and stuff like that.Luv it:>
you should react to her older songs, her song structures ranges from different types, my favorite is the song structure of Death By A Thousand Cuts, it's verse-prechorus-chorus-bridge-chorus
I haven’t seen it mentioned here, but I’d love to see you react to “When Emma Falls in Love.” It’s another fave along with this one, and I really enjoyed your reaction. Every time you smiled, I knew you heard something you wanted to comment on. 😊
Keep my old scarf from the very first week is my best recall lyric ever
I love how you called it a "killer" song in the video because that's literally what it is lmao 💀
Thank you for such a thoughtful and insightful reaction!! Loved hearing about the internal rhyme/alliteration that I hadn't noticed before! And the guitar part was really cool too!!
Taylor needs to see your videos. 👏🏻
Your channel is the best thing I discovered in 2021, this is my first video but I already know there are going to be great stuff in the future. 😍👏
Amazing reaction! ❤
"Thats a killer song" 😭 I dont know either to cry or laugh. Good one
8:18 "that's a killer song"
me: literally.
i claim no body no crime, it is mine
I really enjoy watching your reaction videos to taylor's songs 😄 personally love this song, lives rent free in my head since evermore released 😄
This is my favorite song in a looooong time!
This is one genuine reaction video. There are many out there but yours is not over the top and you provide a valid reaction since you are a real musician.
YAY YOU DID IT (so sad to be brazilian and poor and not able to join patreon haha)
guys im telling you she wrote this cause of among us!!!
she got too adddicted to that game
lmao
Definitely watch the SNL All Too Well 10 min version Taylor sang live. It was spectacular.
One of the songs I loved in the album.
Super analysis! Enjoyed your commentary
Loving the new editing style😂
OMG..... U r a musical wizard😜....doing great.... Keep it up🤩
I loved watching your reaction. I know there are lots of talented people out there some that know even more than you but I love how you know so much and I can tell you are Passionate about music which is what I look for in reactions! 100% agree with everything you say!!!
This soooong is so good!! Love the reaction
You're just the best!! I love your reactions!
Wow.
I had subscribe.
You whipping out your guitar eeminded my so much of my dad. Back in cthe 80s when I was trying to be dark with Oingo Boingo or my poppier stuff...no matter what he'd break it down musically for it.
Talk about chord progression, bridges , and lyrics. Ugh ryme profression and poetry.
Eek.
It didn't matter if it was Madoona or Wham or U2, Prince, Huey Lewis, Phil Collins or Aretha Franklin
I just about died with embarrassment.
Fast forward to college. I realized he was cool. It was an education.
And him trying to connect with me.
You have a vibe that reminds me of him
I loved this. Your listening. Your laugh. Your insight. .
love your analysis on the song !! including all the songwriting and rhyme schemes. hope to see you react to all the songs of evermore and folklore on youtube too !!!
Really enjoy your take.
Finally, he did it 😁
Este is a member of Haim as is Danielle x
Hahaha we stan this man as much as he stan Taylor! x
You should do “getaway car”
Finally a channel with a great lyrical analysis 😍❣️❣️
I love your reactions
love this song - very creative!
Yesssss!!! I was waiting for this ❤❤ thank you
loved the reaction
I actually like you playing guitar and loved the react❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love dark Taylor 😂😂😂 when I first listened to that song i was like 'did she just commit a homicide!!??'
My favorite reaction! Subscribing! 🥰
Also please do the guitar tutorial for "coney island" by Taylor Swift too! Loved your reactions too :))
Omg more of this videos.. please
I just know someday in the future there will be a movie inspired by this song
Taylor is the best❤
Most Americans found Ed Sheeran because Taylor had him as her opening act like WAY before he blew up in the United States. I SAW him as her opener and was like who is this dude with a guitar and loop pedal? He’s unreal. Lmao. They’re very good friends and he reconnected with his now wife because Taylor was having a July 4th party and Ed asked if he could invite an old schoolmate who lived in New York (his now wife) to the party and Taylor said of course. Wouldn’t mind seeing you react to some of his live stuff with his guitar and loop pedal. I’m new to your channel so maybe you have but if you haven’t you’re missing out. Also Ed sheeran remixing Trap Queen and making it acoustic at points with The Roots playing the song with him is amazing.
Whenever I think of this song, I think of the movie "Gone Girl" because it really matches together.
I love the reaction!
React to one of the bonus tracks off the album! I’d love to see it!
Hey I love your reactions, and your guitar lessons, idk how to play a guitar but I want to learn, any recommendations on a good starting guitar? It would be appreciated, thanks
Hey Brent! I personally like the Taylor GS Mini for beginners. The new Epiphone acoustic looks sweet, but I haven't played one yet.
Taylor: *writes a song about committing homicide*
Us: “Woo, this is catchy! 🤠”
I'm getting scared of us, fans sometimes tbh. Lol
also Better than Revenge
*feminism turned off for the whole song*
its all those crime shows she watches on TV, lol. Goes back to her appearance in CSI. . . .
She didn’t do it she has an alibi xD
@@robertthompson7242 yeah especially the infidelity leading to the wife’s death and insurance policy motive to make the mistress look like she is suspect of killing the husband is straight out of most crime dramas or murder shows.
