Hello I just wanted to drop by and say that your tips are really useful for someone that doesn’t know what to expect at all!! I ended up getting my offer a week after my assessment centre :) bless you!😊
Hello Temii, It nice to listen to you share your experiences and tips. I have got this Virtual Assessment centre coming up in a fortnight. It's a banking sector, I could really use your help on Commercial awareness.
Hey, This was a nice listen. Having had my own fair share of assessment centre days here in Kenya, I'd just like to add that for even consulting companies, they also test for business acumen and commercial awareness. With McKinsey for example, I was given a business scenario to up the profits of a fake Airline. So its not just random questions but almost real-life case scenarios.
Probably the best video i've seen on assessment centre preparations, If possible what are some of the resources i could read up on supply chain management? engineering sector for automation in an automotive industry (i have a mechanical E. background) I've gotten through 3 interviews and last one is an assessment interview. It is a graduate trainee program so any advice would be helpful.
Thank you so much for that. I loved the way you explained everything. Made me feel more at easy and confident to go through the assessment centre and get my dream job 💪
Hey Temii💖💖 Hope you're doing well and are safe I saw your video about getting a first class. Can you do like a detailed video on the study methods you used and basically how you managed how to achieve something that amazing? Thank yiu
Thanks Temi! that's really helpful. Do u have any recommended case book/ case resources or any more resources especially in the supply chain, chemistry, EV, ESG industry to improve commerical awareness about those areas?
Have a group interview for a residency program that is both for my masters and a full time job. Been looking for something like this for a while. Thanks
I did the assessment centre about a month ago, it was fun and I liked the experience and I think I did well but today I got the rejection email. It really saddened me especially that I was confident and I thought I did well.. but it is what it is
Hey Temi. Thank you so much for this video. I have a virtual assessment centre coming up in three weeks, and I generally struggle with expressing myself. I was wondering if you could be available to do a trial run with me one of these days 🙉
@@Bems__ Hey. I got the job so it must have gone okay! There seem to be lots of different assessments but mine was called a Distillation Exercise. I was given a bunch of information on three different projects and a brief of what the department I supposedly worked for aimed to do. I then had to look at all the info and decide which project to fund. I had an hour to do that and then I had to do a one-on-one with my interviewer (acting as my manager in this scenario) and present on which one I’d chosen and why. She then asked a bunch of questions about it. I think it was to test if you can look at something holistically and weigh up the pros and cons. If your exercise is anything like mine, the best advice I can give is to really watch your time (an hour isn’t very long to work it out and write down your findings and she didn’t give me a second more than I was due). Also, make sure you’ve looked at the problem you’re solving from as many different viewpoints as you can. The questions she had for me weren’t difficult as such but they were testing whether I could explain my decision clearly and stick to my thoughts while also discussing the flaws in what I’d picked and why I’d chosen it anyway. I hope that helps!
Hi! I'm a chemical engineer, I graduated in December from University of Manchester and am looking for graduate schemes right now and it's so hard TT.TT I haven't gotten to an assessment centre yet, but they are all online this year. Do you have any tips for online Assessment Centres? Thank you
Hey I'm a chem eng too job hunting. I'm pretty alone on the job hunt and can't find any other chem engs. I need someone to talk to so can you message me on IG sir.calv
Hi TEMS love your content thank you - I have a question more of a request so I have e an assessment centre in just under two weeks in the ElEnergy Industry and wish to know more commercially since I have no prior knowledge. May you please share any resources with me so I can best prepare? Thanks 😊
Thanks for making this video and for the suggestions.I have an assessment centre coming up and it would be great if you can make more videos on group exercises and how to go about those? Thanks
Yes! I may do a video about this to go more into detail - but just briefly here are some basic ones: profit, revenue, profit margin, cost saving, cost avoidance, CAPEX, OPEX etc. Some terms can be industry specific, but the first 3 and last 2 are universal.
hey tems am going for technical and competence virtual assessment centre that will involve , written excercise , role play , presentation , and group work . any help will do it happening in a week time
Hello Temii, fantastic delivery you got here, thanks for this. Your summer Internship with BP actually got my attention as i have a virtual assessment center coming up soon for the Graduate Wells Position. Could you please help out with some practical suggestions? Pleeaaasee🙁 And Good luck with your Simulations🙂
Hey. I loved this. Thank you so much. I have a question. I am currently studying in Cyprus and I would like to apply for a grad scheme in the UK. How can I better my chances of getting in as compared to other UK university educated applicants
Hey, thanks for watching! Good question, check out my latest video on the perfect time to make applications! That video talks about starting to research companies you’re interested in now (over the summer) and applying very early to give yourself the best chance. For international students, go to LinkedIn and find people that are alumni in your university that managed to get into the company you’re interested in. Study their profile, see the sorts of things they did/are now doing and make notes. Maybe even reach out if you’re very keen. If there’s no one, look for alumni that work in your desired location in the industry you’re interested in. Hope this helps!
Hi, it's nice to see someone younger who did the same degree at the same uni as I did :D I've now been in research for some years, and now realised I don't want to work in academia. So I am also applying for commercial jobs that would involve an assessment centre. Have you done any online group activity at all, e.g. with SHL(think it's their new product), is there any tips you think is important? How do you make sure you don't interrupt others online? Since it's super easy to do so, due to the two dimensional image may reduce how obvious they are finished with their speech.
I agree with Mariam! But also a lot of the time it’s not what you’re saying but HOW you’re saying it. As long as you’re kind, polite, leave room for them to decline and avoid making them feel like they HAVE to say something, it’s totally fine! (And sorry for the delayed response!)
Helloo! My name is sharon and my friend just sent me your channel to watch this. I have an upcoming unilever discovery center coming up and I would like to know anything and everything pleaseeee

Just saw this! How about attire? I know it's formal wear but what did you put on exactly? Anything I should be aware of?
I wore formal wear, yes. So a blazer and trousers with a shirt with a collar. Don’t overdo it with cologne or scents if yours is in person
