    I have a Dominican friend. 🇩🇴 I've never seen spelling like hers. She would say abral instead of hablar, te ciente instead of te siente and berdad instead of verdad.

    You are so right about learning one thing in the classroom, then another with the people. I am learning Spanish in Colombia, mostly in Medellin and the "B" and "V" are often interchanged. Is that the same in the DR?

      They generally speaking sound the same, and I’ve had back-and-forth discussions in the past about which to use. Example, one person might use “vacano” and another will use “bacano”. Sounds the same regardless. Que goces mucho en Medellín 💖 Si ves Karol G, Maluma o j balvin say hi for me lol jk
