I'm Global and I got the average result on the reaction time test 215ms But really CS is so much about position, game mechanics, basic spray pattern, nades, timing, that reaction time is not really that much important.
Lol yeah my friend does the reaction time test and sometimes when he dies without reacting at all until very late he says im not focusing on that area and that reaction time test is different and im like well the reaction tiem test is testing ur eyesight reaction to something not a fucking sound and clcik lol 😆
Also keep in mind that your monitor matters a lot. I am pretty sure that all 4 of them have same reaction time, but the streamer has a 144hz monitor. I was also global while playing with 80-100ms ping and on an old 60hz monitor with terrible response times, with which my reaction time would be anywhere between 200 and 250. I would avoid holding certain angles because of that, but being global was still quite easy. Btw, right now I have 240hz monitor and have a reaction time around 160-170, so changing my hardware changed my reaction from terrible to pretty good
CS:GO is so much more than reaction time - you have to be able to read the game. Lets see how well they locate someone based on a tiny sound - or placing the right smokes, pop-flashes, spray pattern etc.
I have 213 hours on the game, i'm not capable to showing my full potential because i can't plat cs:go everyday, when i play 4games a day i feel like i'm improving and getting those 1vs3's right... And from that time, 213hours of the game, i noticed i have learned such little from it, i started to use common smokes on mirage and i built my way up to inferno, still silver 2 and in no doubt i deserve that rank because goddamn when i watch a Goldnova 2 or and MG player, i get goosebumps lmao
dude, there are two types of silver, beginner and those silver who spent almost 2k hours playing in csgo. Sometimes beginner silver with high hours played can beat a beginner mg1 player

I am in Australia and there's a lot of decent silvers ( before the f2p update ) now I got about 1.25k hours and I was stuck in silver II never pass for a good 200 wins / 1k hours and when I FINALLY got out of s2 i got to s3 and s4 pretty quickly and stayed around there for a good while then deranked to s3 and s2 again, fr though there wasnt enough silvers as in too many high end silvers if I was on there as my current rank "s2" i would be very decent my friend in the phillipines is mg 2 but can't really do that well against silvers in straya (ping gap) but yeah
haha same bro. over 300 hours and i still havent got my rank 😂😭. i am missing 2 games. i've started with deathmatch, but now i spend most of my time with training and barely matchmaking. at aimbotz i did 100 bots in 1:10 minutes.
It's usually low IQ, acting directly on info instead of thinking about it / putting it together, that is why they have mechanics and reaction but are low ranks. It's all in the decisions they make in-game, the concepts they do and don't consider, how they play the man advantage, understanding / or not understanding map control etc.
I think they did so good in the second test because they weren't stressed and they could easily shot still targets. Unlike in the actual game where you're getting pressured from other players.
And then aim botz shows how good reaction time dont mean that mutch, i have reaction time around 250ms on second test i got 49 points but in aim botz im faster than any of them getting 1.03
A very good point. One tip for silvers would be work on staying calm even when you're in a bad spot in-game. I've lost many kills, rounds, clutches, etc. due to panicking and missing shots/making bad decisions
@@remlap1325 lol try years. Was gn3, recently gotten back to the game and is stuck in silver 4. It’s insane how little cooperation there is within the teams. No communication, no strats. Everyone just begs for awp then spreads out even if we’re T side. It’s really frustrating lol
Current Rank: MG1 Highest Rank Achieved: SMFC Years Played: 17 Scores - All first attempt Test 1: 205 ms Test 2: 44 points Test 3: KPM - 71.22 Time: 1:24.235 Rank is all about timing, game sense and positioning.
Jonathan Baldwin totally, i gonna be honest with me : i get rekt in aim duel by a silver. He was faster than me in reaction and aim really BUT fucking hell, he doesn’t know how to have react in normal game. I was playing on train in wingman with him, and he get rekt by the same guy every time he goes ivy and looking at main (the position when you are close to green train and looking at the main entrance of terrorists). Then we change position and i kill the same guy two times the first 30 sec. He asked me how and i say : « did u ever try to go on the top of the green train ? Because you can main you know? And the guy who kill u with the sniper, if he double scop, he can’t see on the top of the train » My friend has 1200 hours and still silver elite. Im mg1 with 1,5K hours. So basically, before master guardian elite, you don’t need to have a good aim or shoot at the head to win or even flick shot with awp, you just need to think and outsmart the enemy. You have to predict the enemy, play a way that the enemy won’t understand until some few round.
u talk like everybody doing 1 on 1 shooting will finish headshot in 1 second?? no , aimming is more like 60% of the game. not everybody practice headshot on every guns.
OJMAH he means that csgo is more reliant on game knowledge rather than aim. While aim is important, it not what makes up all of a good player. Mechanics are important but so is teamplay and game-sense. He doesn’t mean that shooting takes up a literal 20%, more in the sense that there are more important skills to think about
@@OJMAH I'd have a friendly guy with high game sense/intelligence but below average aim rather than a whiny and dumb player with good aim. High game sense just outplays good aim in so many situations
I played many matches with my friends against really skilled players and we all got average or below average aim but we won most of the matches with our tactics.
@@adog3129 i mean he didnt count the actual score seriously do you really think he took a score with an impossible reaction speed due to luck seriously? sure he included it but he obviously didn't think that reflected on how skilled they were
For silvers, here are some tips to get rankup to gn1 1.learn spray pattern and aim 2.learn how to use ultilities 3.communicate with team 4.learn about the map 5.be positive-minded;dont be the guy that said 'we gonna lose this,gg' after only losing for a few round Im giving this tips bcause i got rankup from silver recently and now im nova3:)
what? no gn1s know spray patterns . hell im mg2 and i dont know the spray pattern for the ak , by that i dont mean i dont know how to spray but i could do it a lot better
@@dominikobora5385 Lmao I have about 70 hours in the game, currently silver 2, and know every spray pattern. I usually solo or duo queue though so i don't know if that makes a difference.
Actually alot of the reasons you listed are why I havent touched competitive, I myself just play casually (140 hrs since I brought the game back in 2012/13) so while I can occasionally do decent at AWPing and fragging, my map knowledge is pathetic and im only now getting the hang of nades since they operate so differently compared to every other fps I play. Maybe one day ill improve to the point where I can play competitively comfortably, but for now im saving the pain of my potential teammates lol
Yea silver really is elo hell, just everyone is so hard to read, but i remember how fun cs was when i got out of silver, finally stuff clicked and i played so much i went to mg in under a month
Glicko is elo with an added volatility rating. Regardless, using a system created to measure 1v1 rankings for a team game is beyond retarded and the reason elo hells exist. I've played this game at every rank range and golds are by far the worst. There are a lot of silvers that can hold their own in an mg ranged game, but because of the ranking system they all play against each other and a bunch of smurfs and keep each other in silver with 50% winrates. Until valve starts actively combating smurfing the ranks are meaningless below LE.
@@premiumfruits3528 yeah it's so bullshit. Back when I was in that hell hole and played with a random dmg friend of mine, it wasn't even that hard there.
@@premiumfruits3528 Yep. Back in 2014, I was proud I had trained and reached MGE. Then, I take a break to focus on school, projects, and other games. 2019, I come back and literally vs Astralis every game, instant 1 taps everytime. Silver is hell, I can't get out of it. I'd say perhaps I don't deserve it... but something feels really off.
maan.. im stuck in LE and solo queueing since I've started playing csgo back in 2016.. I'd like having some people which I can count on when playing but unfortunately all of my friends which are playing are under mg1 and I can't take the risk of losing cuz if I'd queue up with them in lobby they'll be placed with MG's because of me being LE and they wouldn't do so much and I'm more of an awper and can't carry by that..
first match in almost 2 years i went from silver 4 to gold nova 1 in a day. my highest rank before was only gold nova master when it was easy to rank up (probably gn1 now)
I came back after a year, got ranked at silver 3 and hit sem within 2 days. it then took 2 months and a 23 game win streak to rank up to nova 1. the next match i played i ranked up to nova 2. the ranking system is completely broken.
@@sql64 no, the delay of 60 fps is (1secound / 60=16.666...) 0-17ms(8,5ms average delay) and the delay of 144fps is (1secound / 144=6.9) 0-7 (3.5 average delay), so its really not a huge different, its just a different of 5ms
Nadeking the thing is, for reaction time theres too much factors to have an accurate test, if youre looking for pure reaction time, theres other variables like monitor refresh rate and mouse button click delay, so you cant get a 100% accurate test.
On 240hz you see a new frame every 4.16ms, on 144hz every 6.94ms, and on 60hz every 16.6ms. The difference caused by the monitor cant be more than 12ms at the absolute max.

Half of the silvers are actually just bad and half are just stuck haha when i watch my friends games its always one or two slivers trying to carry the team while the rest have single digit kills haha
Im at an even worse position. Although im LE, I have 300 ms reaction time, if I really try I can achieve up to 210. What I have noticed is that my reaction time in game is faster, than on the test I dont know why.
@@Odychatz I have noticed this as well. In game my reaction are way faster than on the test. Most importantly, positioning seems more important than reaction time. Unexpected angles give you about 1/2s advantage giving plenty of time to shoot
@@nikolauren9729 You need to click on the head of an enemy no? the reaction time test makes sense it just doesnt count the ability to position yourself in a way that you are either not seen or that you see the enemy first giving you the advantage in the situation so you dont need a very fast reaction time to win
@@jakeman025 monitor refresh rate matters. 60 hertz is alot slower than 120 hertz. Along with better mouses and processors for higher registration of clicks. So it kinda does
People automatically assume low ranks are bad, but once you're in prime the whole game changes. My friend is also in silver and has almost 4k hours. He's tested a new account and got to gn3 as the placement rank. The only way I ever see myself leaving silver is if I have a team to help tryhard matches because most are actually good at the game. People with 10 year coins and otherwise decorated accounts are NOT noobs, just stuck.
I've never played counterstrike in my life, but I really enjoy listening to your voice. Since lemmino hasn't posted in forever it's really cool to find someone who sounds very similar. I'm not sure what it is about that accent and cadence, but I find it very relaxing
This just means that cs:go is also a really tactical game. It doesn’t matter if you are a god at aiming if the enemy has good game sense. That is also why some people can’t win even with hacks.🤷🏼🤷♂️
Optimus Prime so true. I’m MGE now, but I really miss my silver days. They were much more fun. Not so much focus on tactics, but more Arcadey feeling ☺️
8:05 you wanna know why it's because next to your skill you also need a good team and when you are solo queuing like most low ranks you can get a bit unlucky like easily winning first 6 rounds and then losing the game 16:6 by other team and that process repeats for 5 games in a row
From my experience the difference between silver ranks and gold/master guardian is the game sense, not the players' shooting skill. Learning to prefire predictive angles, smoking or mollying certain positions, bomb plant position, learning map names for giving or taking info, knowing when and what to buy, etc... a good silver is almost always on par with a gold/mg player in shooting, but the difference comes in using utilities, adapting to situations and stuff like that
7:40 but thats really the moment you see the difference between some silvers and better players...we know where we hit when we move the mouse, he really goes slowly to the green and then shots...
ive managed to get myself a +100kpm on aim_botz which i know isnt impressive or anything, but thats better than the three guys in this video, and im stuck in sem. makes sense right

I started in December of 2019. Here are my stats (I plan to keep updating) February: Reaction time (best): (179) (was 191 ms) Aim + reaction (best): 58 (was 46 points) Aim_Botz (best): 1 minute and 24 seconds
In my oppinion, you can't take this test as serious material to declare the skill gaps. In this video, only the hand-eye coordination is asked for. But in a CS-Match you have more than just these things. During a normal match, there always different scenario's, like do we push A or B as Terrorist or do we defend the bombsites. The more remarkable question in my oppinion is how do they treat with the always changing possibilities ingame? Aiming is just a part of the game, you need more to declare how skilled a person is. But anyways, good video, i like your effort =)
Silver doesn't mean that you're bad, sometimes a silver can do better than a dmg, it's just other silvers and Russians that keep you in silver, so my advice is just to go play faceit you get a team that works together and overall play with people that are generally better than you and that my friends is how you improve by playing with people that are better untill you become as good or better than them then you find someone that is even better than that and the cycle continues until there is noone better than you.
Also as a player that has played for years, I left cs for a year or so, come back get placed silver 2, win 12 games in a row, top fragging all of them and I still dont rank up.

When I started the game I soon realized that trying hard was the way I enjoyed playing cs. I felt so frustrated because solo queuing out of silver was the hardest thing!! After MG solo queue gets SLIGHTLY better
@@morfy2581 solo queue is a bitch in any rank... its just worse at silver because there is barely any difference between that and a causal match. There is no time stamp on leaving silver. All you can do is work on your aim with a lot of deathmatch and keep watching naking's usage of utility...for a start at least. Also, you could use some friends to play because not having people who you can easily talk to and maybe even practice some stuff will be your biggest disadvantage. You need friends to play this game with because you need to be consistent to rank up. Its no good to you to win 3 matches in a row and then loose other 3. Bottom line: Find some people who can play with, learn how to use utility, specially oneway smokes and some flashes...maybe some molotovs...And work on your aim. That is the key to get out of silver... Oh and buy a kit
1:58 idk why it says 215 ms but the average is actually higher, as shown when you click on the "the data" link on that page. There it says 273 is the median and 284 is the average. This makes more sense as 215 ms seems to be too low to be the average in the graph as well, as by far most of the surface underneath the graph is to the right of 215 ms. On the "the data" page it explains that the results tend to be higher than the actual reaction times because of technology. idk if the 215 ms is a typo or the actual average, but corrected for. It would seem to be fairer to compare the players to the 273 or 284 ms though.

I can guarantee you I didn't do anything aside from load up each map and apply the correct settings. The only thing I did aside from that was enable faster fps in the headshot test by ticking the box on the map..
Biggest compliment i've ever gotten is in a silver 1 game when 2 grievers asked why I was tryharding in silver and I said bc I'm silver 1, They sarcastically replied: "Yeaa right bro" lol
Just a note, as a devoted human benchmark player, the reaction time depends HUGELY on screen frame rate. I easily get under 160ms with 144Hz screen but struggle to achieve 180ms on a 60 Hz screen.

I can guarantee you I didn't do anything aside from load up each map and apply the correct settings. The only thing I did aside from that was enable faster fps in the headshot test by ticking the box on the map..
Biggest compliment i've ever gotten is in a silver 1 game when 2 grievers asked why I was tryharding in silver and I said bc I'm silver 1, They sarcastically replied: "Yeaa right bro"
lol
Reaction time is genetically and you can only improve it by 10%...
that’s a lot though
jason doesnt even have a microphone lets buy him an actual gaming mouse so he can aim
Just a note, as a devoted human benchmark player, the reaction time depends HUGELY on screen frame rate. I easily get under 160ms with 144Hz screen but struggle to achieve 180ms on a 60 Hz screen.
Im silver, the only thing about silver is nobody knows to call out
Nobody knows English in silver either
@@Shuroii true, its russian kids, russian adoloscents, russian adults and if youre playing in america its peruvians that cant speak a single word of english!
These things that you tested aren't actually that important to get a good rank
it's reaction time and aim. that last test was tapping heads, that's pretty goddamn important
@@adog3129 230-250ms reaction time but rape globals
Guess its not that important
In my opinion this test isn't the best. It doesn't test their movement, game sense, crosshair placement, game knowledge e.t.c. Like you can be the best player at aim trainers, but you wont be as good as semi-pro player.
The game is not about reaction time and one taps there's a lot of game sense involved, a lot of decision making and holding angles so seems unfair to compare silvers to global's.
im silver 1 and i got
175 ms
45 points
1:15
ReflexgamingxHD i’m unranked and i got
250 ms
N/A (never played the map)
1:10 average, 1:02 fastest
yes, practice makes perfect (trained for like 2 months solely on practice maps)
I am just going to say this, I had 1.5k hours in csgo and was stuck in silver for months. I made a new account and was able to MAINTAIN a MGE rank after 50+ games
Highest rank ever was LE but that was when I started getting burned out
lmao ive just been stuck in silver for 600 hours
my new friends are gn2 to mg3 but theyre bots
I was stuck in silver for 800 hours, I got around 3k+ hours now and rather not even touch matchmaking anymore because how shitty it is. Global Elite matchmaking is just big oof.
@@mlgsty8880 lmao, im still silver in normal comp but i did get from silver 1 to 4 in wingman in about 10 matches just now
I’m a silver 1 with 33 comp wins and I’m just stuck in elo hell
Lmao only 33 comp wins.
@@noobieanimations7398 lmao you’re name is noobie animations
@@lordz19 400 comp wins and still in silver
The reaction times are highly hardware dependent. I'll get avg 190s on the work PC, but under 160s at home.
I guess that's why i always get 220ms on my potato laptop and 1 dollar mouse
I actually don't want to uprank from my Silver III.
I bet I am having more actual fun playing the game than many a Global Elite.
DGARedRaven I dont think so in high ranks people just chill and are not toxic but in silver there is angry russians lol
@@yhx No. Most definitely not.
Bruh, the second player had a 5 year medal kkk
i have 120 hours on csgo and i get 10 year one somewhere in the next february lol
it just calculates from the time u have installed and played ur 1st cs game, can be source or 1.6 too not just go
Yep. Bought the game when it came out, PC died. Just started playing again over the past year.
