Very interesting. I have a Butterfly Surbek Hinoki that I bought when I was 17. I’m 61 now. Never really played well with it and went back to Stiga. Kept the blade though as it’s an odd one and beautifully made.

At 8:12 we can see thickness of outer plys is pretty different. Is it how good blade should be? there is also upper layer, which is made of two pieces not 1 on 6:45 you can see darker line on the left part of the blade. And on the other side of this blade there is also cut , which you can see at 7:36.

Can you do a review of the Nittaku blades?? Specifically the Miyabi, and/or the Hino 5.22 or the 7.22. Thx.

Does that mean Hinoki is mainly used with pimples ?

It’s probably more common to see Hinoki used with standard rubbers as that makes up over 90% of players. The Hinoki blades are very versatile and can help add feel and control to any rubber. The examples in the video just happened to be pimple players benefiting from the extra control.

Hinoki blade typically comes in single layer blade, so which layer is Hinoki reside in multi-layer blade? And how thick is the Hinoki layer?

I have xiom hinoki s7 and which tire of xiom should I buy for forehand, which one would be more suitable? (I attack with forehand spin after the 3rd or 4th ball.) I am open to every suggestion.

Have a look at Xiom Vega Elite for control and easy touch play around the table. If you prefer harder rubbers and more speed then either Vega Pro or Jekyll & Hyde 47.5V. Thanks for watching!

@@iqmicro Many thanks! The Hinoki blades can work well for any level of player depending on the rubbers. They are more suited for Allround to Offensive play but they could work for a defensive game away from the table depending on the rubbers and what you are used to using.
