Sounds like me with Absol. Excellent design, lacks the stats to be competitive. Basically no defenses, not enough attack to break most opposing pokemon, and too little speed to sweep
Lovely information here. I've seen the same confusion around the party Pals that boost the attack damage of certain pal types. As a rule of thumb, I'm 99% sure if you see it give a boost to your attack stat directly, it will affect every move that Pal has. If not, it's only certain elements. The Ribunnies and foxicles etc all boost the actual stat.
Maybe you could do a vid on Prunelia or Nitemary? If not for their stats then maybe for their partner skills? I personally like using Nitemary like a mini Bella L, especially since i got Void Siren on it.
Nitemary is featured in the souls farming video with the predator pals, I use it a lot for farming souls. Gave it some dragon attacks since the feybreak predators are dark.
Not really, lumbering is kinda useless later in the game and if you need some lumbering your better off using some shroomer noct so you can also increase work speed for ur base
Yeah it's really important early game but you practically don't need it late game lol. If you farm up like 60k that's way more than enough to do 10 bases @@A_Zippy
I actually ended up randomly running out of wood because I just had everyone doing everything else for so long. Put Celesdir in there for a few minutes and we were cooking again 👏
I had the same interaction with Azuremane. Saw it, got super excited, bred up a prefect one, realized it was mediocre, stashed it in the box and now its Expedition fodder.
@@user-7vs6 oh for sure, its not useless. I was just excited for it to be a new Legend pal (think frostalion for Electric) and it fell WAY short of it; 100% my fault for too-high expectations.
That's my main ground mount 👏 eternal engine, swift, legend and demon god. Of course, im not going to rely on him for boss battles, but that should be expected. Still, I beat Victor and Saya on hard mode by just running around and dodging with him and using the multi guided missile.
burn damage is a lot (all things considered). something to look into. seems like tower bosses have 10x less damage from it though or something like that. it's suppose to deal 1% for 15 seconds (1% per second) but yea tower bosses (and i assume raid) seem to have some damage reduction that applies to that as well. 12:00 you did ~2,026 dps with 1 min 34 seconds left with the pal without the pal you did ~1,613. to defeat Ryu ultra requires at least 1,709 dps. so the pal, in this case, was a extra 25% more damage multiplier (effectively). in your knocklem video (2 weeks ago) you completed Ryu (ultra) with (knocklem damage focused build) in 83 seconds, this would put that knocklem at 1,983 dps (23%). so your fight with celesdir added more dps. although you could just put that up to error honestly and just say they are effectively the same.
just want to correct that the dps listed isn't correct, well relatively it is. i didn't account for the 33%? extra life they heal when ryu goes into phase 2. comparing the dps as i listed them is fine but the required dps to kill is higher then stated. doesn't change that celesdir contributed more then knocklem though, at least based on the two videos showcasing the the pals anyway.
amazing design but honestly how it works when put into practice is pretty underwhelming and its lack of double jump makes it even as a dedicated land mount pretty poor. it honestly feels like it was just unfinished as its passive, location and name could have been major content points left unused and undeveloped
I've been using it as a land mount and it's pretty convenient for caves and getting up cliffs. It's one big jump with a light float down to the ground, so you'll be able to find a path up most of the time. It doesn't really require patience in dungeons either, as it's fast and lasting enough (for me, at least) with legend, swift, and eternal engine. Non-alpha of course, in order to pass through entry ways. All this combined with it's awesome design is good enough for me, but I understand people expecting it to be a lot stronger or faster due to how significant it looks lore-wise.
This pal was kind of disappointing when I read the description. A lot of partner skills are at least fun to use, even if they eventually get outshined by another pal. This one just feels like a throwaway. It would be so much better if it was constantly healing itself and applied that same effect to the player when mounted. Even with a massive buff I don’t think the current implementation works since it only affects the out of combat healing. Maybe if it was like 100 or 200% you could use it on the oil rig to save on regen meds, but it just seems kind of pointless right now.
Yeah, hopefully they tweak it a bit to make it more viable. Some pals get double or even triple attack, while this pal gets an effect you barely notice even at max condense.
Holy nova would at least be usable if all the subsequent light beams exclusively hit the target the initial big one hit. Also don't lock Celesdir into it's edge walk animation either, it's just clunky and undeserved considering how bad the attack is and how mid the pal is in general. It feels like Pocket pair saw Miquella's light from elden ring and decided to make their own, but badly implemented.
Love Celesdirs design. I want it to be good SO badly

Celesdir has a bright future behind her-
My pal's are still not attacking... I'm not sure what an why, and yes I have them set to atk.

I honestly just bred this as a cool mount and to name it Nokotan.

@ProfessorPenking Ah, ok
i feel like celesdir's level 4 lumbering is overlooked by most people

it's overlooked because it's not needed late game. it's been ages since i didn't farm wood and still using the wood i farmed early game.

To be fair Azure does have electric four, so it at least has that.

I take this as the only exception to the rule of healing pals being a wasted slot, are life leech granting ones.

Celesdir and Silvegis really disappointed me. The passives could’ve been super good or at least cool but they just don’t work
