Love Bogie, Love Dino. Hope I get to meet them one day, and all the passed stars of yesterday. To meet Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, Dean, Frank, Nat King Cole, Jerry Lewis, Fred Astaire, Al Jolson, Louis Armstrong, the list is so long. I pray I’ll meet them one day, they mean so much to me- despite never meeting them, I feel more connected to them than many people I know personally because I’ve been entertained by them for countless hours. ❤️
Dean Martin was almost like a family member to us in our household. No, we didn't know him on a personal basis, but that's how important his music was in our home. My parents also had some Perry Como, and Frank Sinatra albums, but Dean was it to us! I'll never forget dropping the needle on the 1962-63 album that Capitol put out called "Italian Love Songs"...I would play it for hours, and hours, trying to learn the words, and would pretend I was singing to the girl that lived next door LOL!
Deans voice is like a hot knife in butter. So sexy and smooth. His swagger was like no other. You cant take your eyes off him. Always handsome but as he got older Dean had a sexy luring way about him without trying. Thank Dean for sharing your wonderful talent with the world. RIP
Love you, Dean...so natural. Thanks for such wonderful memories. Many happy times through the years were shared with you and now I have those memories to reminisce.
I leapt when he started with the opening line of the song as I was reminded by Sammy's version of "As Time Goes By" during his performance in Germany in 1985.
@@annfernakerpan6654 NO. that line is supposedly from "Casablanca" when a drunk Rick (Humphrey Bogart) tells his pal & employee Sam (Dooley Wilson) to play "As Time Goes By', Rick & Ilsa's( Ingrid Bergman)'s song. But what Rick actually says is "You played it for her you can play it for me." He never says "Play It Again, Sam." Somehow that phrase becomes an "urban legend" in movies. 🤗💔 In 1972, Woody Allen made a movie called "Play It Again, Sam" about a fan of the movie "Casablanca."

Although inevitably associated with the 1942 film classic Casablanca , the music and lyrics of " As Time Goes By " were penned by a New Jersey - born , Tin - Pan - Alley composer named Herman Hupfeld for a 1931 stage musical called Everybody's Welcome . In Casablanca " As Time Goes By " becomes the an them of the doomed love affair between Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman to every bit the same degree as " La Marseillaise " stands as the anthem of the film's anti - Nazi patriotism . Who can forget the moment when Bergman , deliberately rekindling the fires between her and Bogart , tells nightclub - vaudeville - artist - turned actor Arthur " Dooley " Wilson , " Play it , Sam . Play ' As Time Goes By " " ( not " Play it again , Sam " ) ?
I am 86yrs old.Dean Martin is the greatest singer of all time
75 yrs.old watched him many times, TV&screen. A man's MAN !! One of the BEST.
Dean rules . F*&^% you G
The man! Voice softened to near whisper, he shows here how adaptable his style could be.
Talent, charisma, looks and compassion. What else is there. R.I.P Deano. U were loved by thousands.
Karen Bonkowski You’re right, except I would say that Dean was probably loved not just by thousands, but by millions around the world.
Wonderful version of this song - given the Dino touch - I love it! Play it again Dean!

WHAT A WONDERFULL CROONER
Interpretazione straordinaria.
Fue mi juventud, sentirlos me pone feliz
Actually, Bogart never said "Plat it again, Sam", in "Casablanca". But I love Dean's rendition.
"You played it for her, you can play it for me."
I thought Bogart did say that as his character Rick Blaine in the movie Casablanca?
Did anyone actually say "Plat it again, Sam?" 😉

Qui n'aime pas Dean Martin N'a rien à faire sur Terre !
love the rat pack
Can anyone imagine singing on television nowadays with a cigarette?
Sinatra was known as "the voice," but i much prefer Dean.
The line, "Play It Again Sam," was never said in the movie. Rick, (Bogart), said, "You played it for her, you can play it for me."
C
Not a patch on Perry Como’s version , love Dean but his voice is not half as good as Perrys not as smooth a bit too wobbly.
Some random fucking girl from my high school told me to listen to this. What the fuck do I do?
That girl has a great taste in music...
Bjuderfyllt.1❤❤🥰
