We’ve used science shepherd for introductory science, physical science, and will begin in august life science. Love it. Short videos packed full of information and images that work well for those visual learners. Plus the worksheets reiterate all that’s been taught. The review in the worksheets is the part that’s best, imo, as it keeps it all fresh in their minds.
Perfect! Thank you!
We are using Life Science this upcoming school year as well!
My non science lover and hater of video lessons son, highly recommends Science Shepherd. Science shepherd has quickly become his favorite curriculum. After every lesson he comes and gives me a recap. My 8th grader who did Physical Science this year, loved the short lessons and how the lessons followed the notes. Even when he missed an answered once he re-read the question he was able to get the correct answer. I loved that I didn't have to teach science! Also, Science Shepherd is currently running an up to 40% off sale until May 31.
Thank you!!
We have been loving Notgrass for the past 2 years as well! Always love watching your videos. Thanks for sharing this one!❤
Thank you!!
Look into Shormann a little more because I'm 99% sure you get 1/2 geometry credit with Algebra 1 and 1/2 geometry credit with Algebra 2. It's not a full geometry credit after one year of Algebra 1.
You are correct. 1/2 with Alg 1and the other 1/2 with Alg 2
You're right! So technically breaking up Geometry
These sounds like great choices! Thanks for sharing. I looked to see if you had an end of year review for 9th grade, but didn't see one. I was wondering how the books that are suggested in Notgrass for language arts turned out.
This coming year we'll be using Notgrass for Language Arts! For 9th grade we used The Good and the Beautiful so we didn't utilize the Language Arts from Notgrass, but this year we will!
@@domesticchaoscoordinator3743 I found both the Notgrass world history and american history at a consignment sale with all the readers and was just curious what others thought of the selections. I can't wait to hear how this year goes for you all.
Not Consumed has a Consumer Math course available now. It might be worth a look for an elective credit , since you have Math covered.
Thank you!
We are using Science Shepherd this year for 6th and it is going great. But we will take a break this coming year from it.
I would love to hear how the Highschool goes for you😉
Thanks!! I'll give an update for sure!!
I'm doing notgrass history, literature paired with IEW outschool class for writing.
I've heard quite a bit about IEW!
Shormann Math Algebra 1 and Geometry is 1 credit one credit algebra and only 1/2 credit geometry.
Algebra 2 /geometry is the same as above 1 credit Algebra 2 and the other half credit geometry.
Yep! So it'll basically just spread out Geometry a little more
The math curriculum you’re using, isn’t it just half of geometry integrated into algebra 1 and you have to use algebra 2 to get the second half of the geometry credit?
That's what I thought too....
You're right! So the Geometry, instead of taking a full year of it by itself, will be stretched out
We like Science Shepherd a lot. I
Think the only thing is that he’s a little monotone. But other than that, it’s great.
If you don’t mind me asking… What level of Math do you think you’ll have your son go up to?
Thanks!
I'm not 100% sure on Math yet. It's definitely not his favorite subject! I'm going to take it year by year I think, after his required math classes. I never even took PreCal in high school, so I would be zero help!
@@domesticchaoscoordinator3743 oh yes! Me either. I was actually just watching a review on Denison Math. It seems great for non math lovers! Like my oldest 😅
@@Analysemarie yes!!
