    If you ever have a problem with your 4wd popping in and out of gear-- replace the int. axle shaft. Took me forever to figure that out, and shops were absolutely unhelpful.
    Looking at mine you would think 'oh, just a little bit of wear'. Well, the collar doesn't fit over the axle portions equally.
    Anyway, just throwing that out into the universe in hopes it helps somebody in the future.

    Manual CAD lock worked perfect for my build. wish I had gone with the F350 dana 60 so I could have put a locker in but this is what Im working with. 97 Silverado CCLB with a 12v and NV4500. It was 2wd so the fame needed a BUNCH of work, to hang the dana on the front, truck makes people scratch their heads alot wonder if they build them that way back in the day!!!

    I recently had my cad housing off to redo my inner shaft seal. When i reinstalled it the gear was towards the drivers side. My front drive shaft does not spin. Do i have to take off the cad housing and move the gear to the passenger side then reinstall?

    My 97 won’t go out of 4 wheel and everytime I put it in 2 wheel it just turns 4wheel back on what could this be and how do I take it out of 4 wheel drive

    I'd rather have the locking hubs then I know it works 100% of the time I'd rather spent the 2 grand and delete the cad and install locking hubs I just prefer the old school locked in 100% and the front is turning when I want it 2
