Joe Buck if you ever read my comment I just wanted to tell you that I cried my eyes out and I'm a 47 year old man crying like a baby! Your dad is an absolute legend and as a kid living in Detroit it was so awesome when there would be a game on here that your dad was doing! Also Joe I'm a huge fan of yours, for both football and baseball and I think your one of the best in the business! Thank you for bringing us this awesome story, SO INSPIRATIONAL!

I'm a Dodger fan, so I grew up with Vin Scully he'll always be my favorite announcer.
But Jack Buck will always be 2nd, I had the pleasure of listening to him on several occasions via the internet and it was an absolute pleasure.

He is without a doubt my favorite Cardinal of all-time, listening to him and Harry Carry do play by play out in the backyard on a hot summer day brings back a lot of good memories, just hearing his voice conjures up fond memories, you just know he is up in heaven doing ballgames right now

So inspiring! Really, my eyes just keep dropping water even thinking about this, and I'm not a crier! Oh the things we miss out on in life that we never even notice. Jack Buck - how you changed one kid’s life that set the world on fire! i hope you are smiling in heaven at the good you accomplished. May we all learn from your example.

There is a great book on the St.Louis Cardinals and the Christian faith. A must read for anyone. As great and fun as Jack Buck was calling Cardinal games, it's what he did outside the booth for many that made him so great! Great testimony indeed.

No. Analyze the words. He says my friend was in the hospital for 5 months. He says he never visited because he didn't feel "worthy". What a pile of bullshit. So what, you named your kid. You didn't visit the man when he was dying.
