If they're all running, that's around 20,000hp those loco's can put out. Quite a short consist but it did seem that only a couple of the units were running, the others being towed for repair or quite often used for spreading the torque to more axles for better starting and haulage in general; extra brakes, regenerative braking and the coolers that go with them.
It's awful to see the cliff face sliding away and leaving the houses in peril like that. Considering how much it must have moved back, I dare say there's been a lot of fallen earth and rock hit the railway before now. We've had and still have the same problems in the UK, with houses having to be abandoned due to Costal Erosion. Was that Biblical story, about the man who build his house on sand and the other man who built his house on rock...or is that one of Aesops Fables? Nice video Charlie, the green Screen effect at the beginning is good. You've maybe found a new calling to be an Actor! All the best to you and your good Lady. So interesting Adam and great observations re the locos. Not sure when passenger service will run again, i the meantime they have a lot of civil work to do.

Hi Deano, there are a number of homes under threat and there is a crew monitoring the situation 24/7
where possible they will build retaining walls but it might be a lost cause.
The soil is saturated and the problem will be amplified when it dries out.
They will not run the passenger trains and that is a problem for the commuters up and down thus coast. They do offer bus service between the stations north and south of this location.

Hi Charlie, 6 Locos, wow never seen that before. This train ran through 2 time zones its so long. You must have a good camera battery to film all these wagons its amazing.

Yes Paul, it is sad and unfortunately there isn’t much that can be done to preserve the cliffs. They will run the freight trains but not passengers due to liability issues. Thanks for the comment👍
Nice catch charlie, The very same Erosion is Happening to Home`s of the Norfolk coast Line
we have come to this location four times now. One reason is the convenience of jumping on the train to LA or SD. Because of the high cliffs being primarily sand they have worn back over the years.
There is no other direct route between the two cities and that is a problem. There are crews monitoring a few areas 24/7 and this recent event occurred only a few weeks ago.
We can jump a bus or uber to the next town north of south and go from there.
