Fall Kentucky Turkey Hunt

Fall colors fire up the screen for fall hunting on Kentucky Afield television this weekend.
Our first stop is Bracken County in northern Kentucky for the challenge of fall turkey hunting. Host Tim Farmer proves, while different in strategy from spring pursuits, the pay-offs can be just as exciting.

Nice to hear someone promote eating the turkey, not just the breast, the legs and thighs too. My favorite part. Boiled with onion, celery and carrots 3.5 to 4 hours. Great for pulled turkey, tacos, sandwich, or put it back in that golden broth with rice and vegies for a fantastic turkey rice soup. Don't throw the dark meat folks, trust me.

Tim is a great guy! He lost the use of his right hand in a motorcycle accident years ago. Miss him as host of Ky afield.
