It is just my sentimental heart has I special place for Archie & Betty, since I liked them in the comics when I was a kid. Though it was mainly because I loved Betty in the comics and did not like Veronica. But so far in the show, Veronica is quite the sweetheart as well.

I’m a pretty vivid bughead shipper, but I honestly don’t hate barchie. While I love the whole sweet-girl/outcast-boy-that-build/support-each-other, there’s something about childhood friends that grew up with an underlying romantic tension than I can’t help but love too! I’m happy with whichever. Varchie on the other hand... not against it but I’ve never been a fan either lol
It kind of feels like Archie is obligated to like Betty because she forcefully wants him to be hers. Also most of the Archie fans have always wanted Archie to chose Betty. Hell I wanted to see them together at one point. But I kind of understand why he always chose Veronica over Betty. Betty is too clingy, needy and selfish in the comics. Yes she's a nice girl, but being clingy and needy is a surefire way to scare someone away. And can we honestly say she loves him when she refuses to let him be happy with someone else? That's not love. I feel Veronica is a very misunderstood character (the comics version) and likes that she doesn't chase after Archie, he chases after her. They clearly have a great attraction to each other in the show and they have to hold back a lot because of Betty...I think they may end up dating but in the end, he will chose Betty. It's what the fans want after all. So...he'll propose to her when she's 18.

(Yea haters/aroce ppl, u heard it) coz it seems logical and perfect conclusion to them...and I truly believe Betty needs to end up with someone who truly knows her and cares for her...well who other than Jughead!!! I believe Archie should end up neither coz there won't be a choice...he should choose someone other... Veronica was more suited to him imo..yes she maybe selfish and bratty but she is a complex character that's wat I love about her...Archie and Betty are a classic couple but they are too cliched and they lack sense now.....Jughead and Betty make sense ..they are a complete couple..their relationship can be deep and meaningful!!😊...I know lots of ppl think Jughead should not hook up with anybody..but if he had to have a serious relationship I can oli see him Betty and none else!! sorry Ethel
In the comics it was Jughead who proposed to Betty. They were 14 though not second graders and it was because she was a good cook and Jughead loves food not because she helped him pass in school.
