  • Here's an advanced bass lesson on sweeping. I like to call it sweep tapping since we tap the highest note to complete the arpeggio. Speaking of arpeggios, you must have a solid foundation on how to play them in order to best absorb this technique!
We'll go over major, minor, and diminished triads all built off the E string to introduce this technique. It's all about the combo of arpeggio knowledge with the mechanics! That's it!

Man how haven't I discovered you earlier. Every video of yours where you explain stuff is so well constructed that there is no moment of confusion or hard understanding. I'm playing bass almost a year and your videos are huge help.

There must be hundreds if not more online bass teachers, and I’ve checked out maybe 100 of them or more… and so far I like your approach and style the best.

Man, you should totally have more subscribers, so that like, you get more views, so then, like, you're incentivised to make more videos cuz your stuff is great, you know?
Sometimes I lay awake at night and I'm just like "somewhere, out there, there's an Andrew Freed not making a new video"... and i continue to be lost, and discontent.

Nope you do not need to be comfy with arpeggios for this technique
