HONDA CB125T Can hardened rubber parts be softened?

Hi, I'm Ukitsu, living in Vietnam.
My CB125T, parts are variously old and rubber parts are hardened.
I have heard that soaking hardened rubber in 2-stroke oil or waste oil will soften it.
But it seems to take a long time.
So I will experiment to see what will happen if I soak it in waste oil and heat it.
