About FNF
Friday Night Funkin' is a rhythm game in which the player must pass multiple "weeks", each usually containing three songs.[note 1] Each week, the player typically faces a different opponent.
During gameplay, the opponent will sing a pattern of notes which the player must mirror by pressing the arrow keys or WASD. At the bottom of the screen is a bar indicating how well the player is doing. The left side of the bar is red, representing the opponent. The right side is green, representing the player. Successfully hitting notes will increase the size of the player's bar, while missing notes causes the opponent's bar to expand. The player fails if the opponent's bar fills up the entire bar.
For each week, the player has the option to select one of three difficulties: Easy, Medium, and Hard. As difficulty increases, the speed of incoming arrows increases and the patterns of arrows become more complicated. The player's high score for each week on each difficulty is tracked and shown in the top corner of the week selection screen.

Fun Fact: “Silly Billy” has gotten over a million views in under a week, and even surpassed Legacy from Friday Night Crunchin’ as Churgney Gurgney’s most popular upload.
My theory is that, similar to the mirror hallway in Sonic Generations, "Yourself" came from a dark mirror, or a negative timeline, meaning that it may not even be related to other mods, because it's not about how she died, but the fact she did, and that BF and turn into "Yourself" at any time if he loses her

The lyrics can be interpreted as him talking to his GF, Divide, or how FNF has come, which is cool. Though, chances are heavily that he’s talking to his GF, but the other options are nice interpretations.

honestly the first theory is kinda interesting, because the effects of not being able to cope with gf's death was something we did want to explore!
i don't think it would've manifested itself in that specific way (more likely he'd just become a shut in and obsess over past memories until they eat away at him, and his "demons" win), but still pretty cool to see that people somewhat remember the mod!
i'm not really in the fnf community anymore so i can say that there's no relation at all but if ya want to believe that, go for it!

For my theory, Lookalike/Yourself is BF from the future. Originally he was meant to be the last opponent after Final Escape from the Sonic.EXE mod. Since it was Sonic related, the mirror room was probably inspired from Sonic Generations where Sonic and Classic Sonic see themselves before fighting the Death Egg Robot. Basically in the future (let’s say Mario Madness), BF escapes from a tough fight but now feels guilty for letting GF die. Daddy Dearest heard what happened along with Mommy Mearest, but they know it wasn’t his fault. Over the years, BF felt like garbage and couldn’t get his past out of his head and so he decided to do one little thing. Go back and save her by taking her away from his past
Unfortunately, we beat him and we made him lose his chance to see his GF again…

My theory is that yourself isn’t actually boyfriend, instead a vision/reflection of what would happen to him if girlfriend was dead. This is my theory because of how he appears from the mirror and confronts the actual bf.

What I think happened is minda portrayed in a storyline.
- After multiple rap battles Boyfriend survived, Daddy Dearest grows enranged; questioning how Boyfriend keeps surviving all of his "demons". One day, DD has a new plan; he decides that he will rig a rematch with BF head-on and mentally torture him. So, he challenges BF to a rigged rematch, everything is going fine for BF till DD starts using his powers to trap BF in his own mind while BF is caught off-guard. BF suffers through mentally terrifying scenarios regarding GF, his brother's death, Pico, Tabi, ETC. BF isn't able to stay rapping while dealing with the amount of torture he is going through, making him loose the rap battle. DD than physical torture BF and corupt his body, making him look like what we know as "silly billy". Years past; with BF out of the way, DD and his family (GF would be brainwashed and completely forget about BF because of DD) would be renown as the "greatest demons" in the universe. Presumably enslaving the universe with their power they grown after taken down BF. BF is broken and fully corrupted. It may seem like the end for BF's story, however, BF got that plot armor and MC level 999. BF would some time-travel (probably after like a chass scene) to warn his old self. Since BF can't actually go up to old BF, he communicates with old BF by the mirror.
I won't say what happens above this because we don't have more context to this mod. You might be wondering, "Then why is the mod referred to as Silly Billy?" Well...
Besides "Kieth", Billy could've been BF's real name and MM likey referred to BF as this to tease him; while he's being tortured.
I'm thinking that if what I'm saying is true, then maybe Billy and Tabi could meet up in another mod, work out differences, understand that GF is NOT the villian, and work together to get revenge on DD.

I actually have a theory if my own as to some of the reasons why Yourself is here in the first place or why he wanted to go there. So you know the thing with scarlet witch where she was the only universe who lost her children so she started searching for other universes where she can get her children back? What if Yourself is traveling between universes searching for GF in hopes he might find one that accepts him even despite his horrific appearance and earn their approval hence the words “I’ll make you say how proud you are of me”

Nah I don't think she's controlling him or the other way around. We know she's a demon and that she's *physically* dead, however spiritually she's clearly still kicking. My guess as to why the mic glowed red when coming out of the mirror was her demonic powers helping secure a link from their dimension to this one. And as he's singing he cracks the mirror so when her spirit/powers flash it's something to do with keeping him stable in that world since the connection between the 2 worlds was damaged.
As for the Lyrics(IN GAME I know that in real life they were meant for Divide) I have my own theory on what they mean:
"I'll make you say how proud you are of me" to me makes me think that hes doing this at Herself's request possibly in an attempt to steal another Girlfriends body. What? He can be tragic and sad and still be evil. Point is what he's doing is for her and he's trying to make her proud of him.
"So stay awake just long enough to see my way" this can have multiple meanings. One meaning is that he's reminiscing on how she died, begging her to stay awake, and "his way" being the ambulance ride. The other meaning ties back to the dimension thing where her spirit is losing the power to stay in the physical world, so he's asking her spirit to stay awake to see his way/hold the connection to another world to find a way to save her. Which also fits with her spirit flaring up at that exact moment. He asked her to stay awake to see his plan and her spirit goes *FWOOM*

Is because its honoring divine/divide as well, how he passed and the dev team of this mod, idk if divine made this nod or even devved on it but he did dev on sonic exe v2, saw the sketches of tgese characters on divines desk. So they decided to make this song.

My theory for yourself is that hes an alternate boyfriend after the song “tricheal” or whatever its called, as lord x stated that “he has found his new body”, implying boyfriend will be his new vessel. And lord x would take his body, and destroy or consume his soul, leaving behind the sonic vessel he once used. He would then enter the fnf universe, and slaughter everyone in the alternate reality, I dont know how girlfriends spirit would be with this new lord x, but my best theory for that is that girlfriends love and attachment for boyfriend lets her persist to try and save boyfriend, or atleast get lord x out of boyfriends body, which would obviously not work due to lord x’s power. Considering the eerie lyrics, twisted body, size changing, and the X on his shirt, this is what my theory would be, if it weren’t for yourself being stated as an alternate boyfriend.

I don’t know if you have but since you’ve done BB (Big Brother) can you do the other older brother (literally just OB) his mod is called a problem/conflict between brothers. It’s a pretty good mod and shows that boyfriend’s affiliation with gf are not just affecting those around him but also his actions and reputation are affecting his familial bonds as well to an extent.
In my personal headcanon, Yourself is a "Mario's Madness V2 Alternate Timeline" version of Boyfriend who somehow escaped Ultra M and lived to tell the tale to the "Main(?) Timeline" version of literally himself. HE's essentially warning BF not to commit his same mistake of letting Horror M take his GF away.

Okay so this has to do with yourself saying “I’ll make you say how proud you are of me.” So what if yourself and herself got in an argument which resulted in herself leaving him and while herself is trying to cope she gets distracted and hurt. Once yourself is ready to apologize he never gets the chance because she is dead. This causes yourself to actually turn into yourself, and he is still to this day trying to make herself proud of him, in order to pay back for her death since he thinks it’s his fault.
I think something important to note is shortly after herself's soul is shown, yourself turns everything blue. I'm not sure if this is to symbolize herself giving yourself meaning and "color" in life, or how now that youself has vented out his emotions, he has calmed down through singing with bf. Another thing is how the icons change between each phase from psycho smile, to deranged smile, to frustrated, back to his psycho smile, and then the icons and hp dissappear. This could represent his stages of grief, or just how he is jealous of bf, and when the icons dissappear it might represent how he doesn't have anymore feelings of negativity toward bf amd how he is having fun. This is simply just speculation and might be looking too deep into small details, but I noticed every detail in this mod has meaning, so possibly not.
Another thing that is noted is from a guy named lexcentrique25...(there's more in his name) pointed out how phantom arcade said bf is about 7ft tall, but is drawn short to show his innocence. So, when herself died, his innocence left but was able to transform into a short bf because a fragment of herself is still with him (the microphone).
Basically: this was technically made by Divide (Some people call him divine) and he was a modder/dev for sonic.exe. but one day, he died in his sleep from cancer. Apparently though, someone saw his sketch of this alternate boyfriend character and made a whole mod about it. I like the theory that the Yourself is girlfriend that’s taking the form of boyfriend trying to live up to his legacy and she point to the boyfriend telling him that she will make him proud of her, and lyrical part is showing that it’s her singing and using magic to look and sound like boyfriend

Another personal theory that should honestly be out there is that the lyrics are a double meaning from both revi (current mod owner) and "yourself", with revi unable to perhaps cope with the death of divide although utilizing and finishing what divide couldnt finish (rip legend...), but with "yourself" being unable to cope with the lost of "herself", hint the lyrics "I'll make you say how proud you are of me" as revi is asking for validation and acceptance that he was able to make something out of divides (essentially) scrapped character idea, that character being "yourself" and "herself".

Me theory for silly Billy is kinda simple:
Basically this is an alternate version of boyfriend who lost his girlfriend which led to him not being in the best mental state as you can see the circles around his eyes and the look on his face where he’s literally gone insane. Along with feeling like this is a battle not just to see who’s better but also a battle for supremacy. The fact that he was just wrapping his heart out as he was not looking at boyfriend he was looking at his the reflection just to be calling out the girlfriend in the song lyrics. Some people said that it was for the creator that passed but I feel that it’s more than that and it would make more sense because if you lose someone so dear to you you would want to sing your heart out about them or some thing inspired by them. You can even tell when he said my way the second time his face showed as if he was about to cry his heart out.

in my opinion the lore could be that through the singing part he says that boyfriend must be proud of him and that he says to stay awake so in my opinion bf and gf had a son who resembled bf or not and bf had taught him everything about rap and then it connects to the mod of the accident where gf dies and boyfriend is injured and bf's son I don't know what could have happened but he can't find him anymore or he's dead and so he finds himself in the hospital and has a dream where he is in the room where there is silly billy full of mirrors and continues to see himself but suddenly he decides to touch one and silly billy comes out who should be his son and they start singing and then gf's soul comes out of silly billy to make it clear that he still thinks about 'accident, then in the part where silly billy starts talking he says that BF must be proud of him that he learned a lot about rap and then in the end he says that he needs to wake up and continue his career as a rapper because both he and gf will always be with him

Quite possible if this was the reason, she could have asked him before she died to just "Move on" and "Don't avenge my death"
Only for him to refuse and avenge her death, to prove his way is a better form of justice than just ignoring it.
Though I will admit the song could use a second part where the main timeline's GF shows up, causing Yourself to start to make mistakes due to seeing a form of her still alive.
End with a cutscene where Yourself admits defeat, dropping his mic, voicing his depression, etc.

another theory that i found:A guy that worked in the Fnf team was sleeping until he died in his sleep when the Fnf team heard the news they went to his house and found a drawing of a disturbing bf/boyfriend character so thats why this song is a thing, also the words he says actually mean something.
Interesting notes I heard is that Yourself is so tall because he’s not from the Funkin universe, so he looks like an actual lanky 19 year old. Though it’s confirmed none of the songs are related, it’s interesting that in Fakebaby, NMI takes on a cartoonier look once he crosses into the Funkin universe. There might be consistent world building that the characters of base fnf look like that because of the reality they reside in.

My theory is: Silly billy is from a whole other universe where their more realistic and he plays fnf and gets so addicted to it that he never stops playing, but then girlfriend leaves him for tabi due to his addiction and bf kills both tabi and girlfriend, but then he gets transported to the next universe and since hes more realistic, he gains more powers such as more flexibility, super strength, and being able to speak out of song with lyrics of what hes saying, but girlfriend still sticks around him.
