I love this video! Another pro tip for the procreate app is if you’re riddled shake like I am - increase your stabilization to your pens -> I duplicate and double tap the pen in use -> go to stabilization ( should be the first thing that pops up ) and play around with it some to get your lines the way you want them. Happy Drawing, friends!
I draw at 300dpi. For graphic novel pages my page size is 2692x4250px. I export as JPEGS or PSDS from procreate to Indesign in my MacBook. Print quality is good. No complaints yet :)
For this book I draw squares by eye, meaning I first sketch them with a blue pen in procreate, then on a layer above them I create black lines holding down the pressure to lock in the line straightness. Then I will shuffle around squares to get the right fit. If I create a layout that works well, I use it often for many pages. I create a templated page of the layout for future use. Does that help?
That was really neat to watch and helpful. Thanks for sharing!

That’s a great tip!
@@RyRyArt Sorry for the rant 😅 also didn’t notice your slew of videos until after posting said comment 😅😅
love this. do you do the whole book in Procreate? How do you gauge the flow of the pages? Do you import them into another program?
Excellent tutorial, thank you! What settings do you use for your canvas? Do you export as a PDF? How’s the print quality on your pages?

Heres a graphic novel I would do.
Ciro the cat.
A series telling adventures of an adolescent cyan furred male cat named Ciro.
What’s stopping you?
Nothing. I said “I would” like meaning probably some time.
how do you estimate how to draw boxes/squares accurately?
