Very good interview, thank you. When you hear Nick with his British accent talking about electronic music, you just feel his enormous knowledge acquired over many years. He is so right on not trying to persuade people with arguments. Adults must persuade themselves. There's never been a point in doing this. Also, the statement on too early nailing down the next track couldn't be more spot on. The problem is: 90% of all DJs make this mistake 90% of the time and it takes talent, experience and, yes, hard work - as, in order not to make this mistake, you need to constantly remind you not to make it and listen to the music instead. That's in the end of the day the difference between DJing as a form of art and a Spotify playlist. What's extremely striking is that this could have been easily said 25 years ago. It's as true now as it was back then, regardless of the medium played, gear used and what style of electronic music is the fashion of the season.

I like the fact when Nick Warren let new talent into his label , coz so many producers making amazing tunes and struggling to get noticed! You can not say same about Lost & Found and other big ones. Always same gang

For me the fact these two do not prepare sets is astonishing. Despite having technology, knowing key, seeing the structure of the song they still need to remember more or less at least 500 if not 1000 tracks to choose the right one to continue the grove. The fact they are doing it at the last track without preparing is mind blowing ! Only the best can do this
