X2 is by far my favorite ride at magic mountain... when the audio is working. I have been to the park 5 times since it opened up to the public and I am slightly disappointed every time when the audio isn't working. I heard that it broke back in 2018 and train 1 occasionally has audio, but I even miss the station audio which elevates the fear factor of the ride. I was fortunate enough to experience the ride back in 2016 when the audio was working so that experience has spoiled me for my recent rides. It was especially a bummer that they had a whole year of shut down from covid to fix the effects but didn't choose to. I really hope that six flags fixes the effects on this ride as it would be a whole lot better to one of the most intense coasters out there.
THIS! I hate that Six Flags doesn't put in the attention to detail in their parks that Cedar Fair does (or Disney & Universal). The audio track is so fun to hear and it's so well timed to the entire ride! When I was there in February of 2020 (my last time before covid) at least one train had the audio. I was willing to wait for that train to show up to ride it. :)
Major props for giving Scream & Superman some love. Scream is almost as fun as most other B&M's are, and no matter what one says about Superman, going up ATLEAST 350 feet up a 410 foot tower at over 100 mph, even with the weak launch, is still a great experience due to scale alone.
You’re not missing anything with the sling shot. It’s basically forceless and downright uncomfortable. The sky coaster is so much better and really fun!
Before I moved to my current location of Washington, Magic Mountain was my home park. I used to go to it at least once per month. I can't disagree with your list. I've been on every single one of those rides and I think they're all great. I see a lot of shade thrown at Twisted Colossus because it's not Lightning Rod or Steel Vengeance. I've only ridden one stand up coaster, which was green lantern. Personally, I want a forceless stand up coaster. Because the positive g's really hurt my legs on green lantern. And I came off with a mild headache. So I would probably put riddler last if I had ridden it. But I can see how people could like stand up coasters
Always try to ride Riddler in the front. I once made the horrible mistake of riding it in the back.... My head bounced around like a pinball. I had a MASSIVE headache after it was over. So yeah, stick with the front or near the front. And I agree. Give your legs a little bit of a bend so that you can better absorb the forces.
Stand up coasters feel more like work than a thrilling ride. The whole time I’m focused more on what I’m doing than the ride. Like bending knees my knees the right way to prevent a shattered pelvis.
I understand why Goliath was ranked lower than most coasters, but you ranked it lower than a dark ride that does nothing, Na I don’t agree with that at all😂
I just went to the park so I have to revisit this list and man, my opinions are crazy. Batman is my number 4 in the park and Scream (though I went in with an open mind) was painful in some parts and nearly forceless the whole way through. Viper was the most painful coaster in the park and Full Throttle was brought down by the final drop. Fun day, but I thought most coasters would be better.
I will always love the OG Colossus! It’s the roller coaster of my youth and at the time there was nothing else like it! Yes, the airtime it insane! And the heart and soul of the OG Colossus lives in the twisted version so it’s really the beloved Colossus… with a twist! ❤️
Yes ,you saying how much you like a ride that feels it’s going to kill you is exactly how I rate a ride , I rode Goliath not long after it opened and no mid course braking made that helix unbelievable in its intensity. Apocalypse doesn’t get widely talked about for the simple reason that not enough people have ridden it post-retrack yet to spread the word and upgrade its reputation. It actually took about two years before the retracked Ghostrider started getting full recognition across the country.

4:56 I totally agree. Scream is just hated on just because it’s a B&M and it has a small rattle. I’ve also heard that some B&M’s are forceless. Honestly, I’d much rather a coaster be forceless and still enjoyable, instead of a rough, unpleasant experience.

Tatsu is amazing! My number one. However; I prefer goliath over X2. I love the start from X2 with the music and suspension but afterwards it really strains the neck. So it becomes more painful than enjoyable. Goliath doesn't do that and has great views and also calm parts. Full throttle is also amazing the music at the start and all of the surprises. Not even Xcelerator, which I'm being forced to go on to break my fear of launches. X2 just looks downright insane, and I can understand why people love it. Nice rankings though, I overall agree!! P.S. did you know that West Coast Racers is a Mobius loop coaster? That makes WCR the only Mobius launched coaster and it makes SFMM the only park with two Mobius loop coasters, the other being Twisted Colossus.

It's interesting, because my experience with X2 was very different. I found the first drop very intense and enjoyable, and then after that it felt low thrill and disorienting for me.
You consider ghostrider a gci? By that logic so is wildcat at Lake Compounce, because gci gave that millennium flyers as well. It has a CCI layout and a CCI structure. It just has gci trains and some track installed by gci. Is new texas giant a gerstlauer? Is steel dragon 2000 a b&m? Trains don't change the manufacturer
if you are riding viper it is a MAJOR difference between the front and back row. I recently got my first front row ride on it about a month ago and I was blown away.

Great list and Great video! I'd say if the trains don't go 400 ft it's not a Strata, if they do go 400 ft it's a Strata. Twisted Colossus seems like it would be my favorite to me. We could use a coaster like that in the eastern half of the country.

Batman THE RIDE is a very good coaster. definitely not the best at the park but it is awesome. Also, I just revisited a couple of days ago and when the brakes hit at the end there were sparks they ended up shutting down the ride right after that one
Tatsu Goliath Apocalypse Full Throttle Riddlers Revenge Viper Ninja Scream Batman X2 The best amusement park for your buck in the west coast region, I love this place!!! U like Dis eykand, it has tons of intense rides and ( especially if you go during spring vacation ( april), you can go multiple times on any ride you want without waiting very long at all.
Of all the rides at the park that I've been on, my favorite is Full Throttle followed by The Riddler's Revenge, Apocalypse, Colossus (before becoming Twisted Colossus), Scream, Tatsu, Goliath, Ninja, X2, Goldrusher, Jet Stream, Lex Luther: Drop of Doom, Revolution and Green Lantern: First Flight.
On the turn right after the loop on full throttle, i grayed out, and i feel that not a lot of people talk about it. It is one of the most intense moments on the ride
I quite agree that SFMM's flats are underrated. The only thing I can immediately change about the list is that X2 would be moved to 3. Every time I've been on it, it ran kinda rough, aka I got beat up.
Never been...I've longed to go... I've been to Disneyland, Knott's, Raging Waters, SeaWorld 🦈 the San Diego zoo 🦓 the L.A. one too. Someday I want to attend...
8:00 “as long as you know how to ride it”. Lmao could you explain how I should ride riddlers revenge? I’m a local and I’ve heard more than one instance of someone saying it can hurt your balls at times. Have you had this experience?
That Superman ride….I will never go on since it just goes back, up, and down and ur done with the ride….it reminds me of the reverse freeze at six flags in Texas…u go backwards and upsides down and go to the top and u do all the flips but this time ur going forwarf
Loved twisted colossus, the negative G was good. loved Goliath, but mainly that first drop and going straight into the tunnel at the bottom, the rest was quite predictable. Tatsu was mint, as was x2, however I didnt like the way x2 knocked your head around. I did like how unpredictable it was though. West coast racers was good but not in the league of the others. Riddlers revenge was great. Didnt manage to do scream or viper due to engineering issues at the time. I didnt do crazy entity, but its the same as some others Ive done and they were good fun. I must have missed batman..... I need to go back but its a 14 hour journey. One day.
Tatsu is my favorite ride. My homegirl almost gave me a heart attack when we rode because i thought she was screaming “im falling!” But when we got off she said nah i said “im flying!”
i really want to go but i dont do so well with rattle coasters i get massive headaches and nausea 😭 any i coasters i should definitely avoid if i end up going?
Your top 5 matches mine. I don't know why Apocalypse and Full Throttle don't get more love. Full throttle is by far the better of the two Premier rides and Apocalypse since the retrack is so good. Wonder how the highly rumored RMC rapter Jersey Devil clone will fit in that top 5 group.

I give Cedar Point the edge.
fair point 😂
X2 looks godly I wanna ride it like now
it’s so ridiculous
even tho sfmm is my home park and i LOVE LOVE LOVE coasters, i’ve never ridden it bc it looks so terrifying
@@weirdbeetworld4914 trust me it ain’t scary. it’s jus the first stop and smooth sailing from there
@@Chris-hi1hf oh nice! i’m prob gonna go on it the next time i go
You consider ghostrider a gci? By that logic so is wildcat at Lake Compounce, because gci gave that millennium flyers as well. It has a CCI layout and a CCI structure. It just has gci trains and some track installed by gci. Is new texas giant a gerstlauer? Is steel dragon 2000 a b&m? Trains don't change the manufacturer
Ghostrider is an entirely different experience post-refurb. the ride was never considered elite prior to this, so I think GCI is to credit here! :)
Love your vids, dash!
Thanks man 🙌🏻
@@CoasterDash you're welcome.
if you are riding viper it is a MAJOR difference between the front and back row. I recently got my first front row ride on it about a month ago and I was blown away.
I enjoy the back row the best tbh 😅
Coaster dash is becoming my favorite UA-camr here are the things he does the best at in all of UA-cam . Vlogs lists and energy coaster dash =most underated youtuber
🙌🏻🧡
Just wondering, do you script your videos! Cause there amazing!
I do, thank you!
My first sky coaster was the 250 foot one in Orlando and it was amazing!
Great list and Great video! I'd say if the trains don't go 400 ft it's not a Strata, if they do go 400 ft it's a Strata. Twisted Colossus seems like it would be my favorite to me. We could use a coaster like that in the eastern half of the country.
Thank you! Yeah, I understand that. My point in the video is that now, Superman IS getting to 400 feet every time :)
@@CoasterDash that's good! Well I guess it's a Strata now even though it wasn't before.
Congratulations on the views on this video! 🎉. I'd love to watch a Cedar Point video like this later this year. Maybe this could be your first 100 K watched video someday. I rewatched this video btw.
@@miked7212 thank you so much! considering the fact that i’ve ridden most of the flat rides at cp, this is a topic I will seriously consider
@@CoasterDash It would be a great video. I think some of your most watched videos are videos like this now. Maybe late this year and early next year do a bunch of videos similar to this of other parks you've been too. Cedar Point's would be a great watch.
X2 is still the only coaster that turns my stomach just watching the video...
Magic Mountain has been my home Six Flags park for years and i’ve somehow never gone ): i need to make more friends who like roller coasters lmao
Batman THE RIDE is a very good coaster. definitely not the best at the park but it is awesome. Also, I just revisited a couple of days ago and when the brakes hit at the end there were sparks they ended up shutting down the ride right after that one
Tatsu
Goliath
Apocalypse
Full Throttle
Riddlers Revenge
Viper
Ninja
Scream
Batman
X2
The best amusement park for your buck in the west coast region,
I love this place!!!
U like Dis eykand, it has tons of intense rides and ( especially if you go during spring vacation ( april), you can go multiple times on any ride you want without waiting very long at all.
I have ridden twisted colossus a few times. But there was only 1 one train out. Making it so it can’t duel! It was sad. But still a great ride!
Goldstriker is one of the best rides ever!!! If you're at Great America soon, try that and Rail Blazer!
Do it!
Will be going there for the first time this coming up weekend from Colorado, can't wait since all the Colorado ones are wack af😂
ong bro. elitches gets more boring everytime you go 😂
In 9:08 I still want it there, but should've added a 360 verson of the ride. I also wish they added the ride "Polar Express" ride
Thanks!
I completely agree! Thanks for the comment man 🙌🏻
Your welcome for the super man parks.. rip TOTII
SFMM has the best remaining Arrow collection out there both for coasters and everything else.
A+ video
People complain about scream but viper hurts my ears more than any coaster I’ve been on! That shit hurts my ears every time
Personally, the only thing that keeps me from completely loving X2 is the part at the end where your head gets smacked back into your seat really hard. Does anyone know how to keep this from happening? Are there certain seats where it is less likely? I would love to enjoy the coaster to it’s full extent
The front or “back”. Ridden there two times, and each time it feels like a huge force yet it never hurts.
Awesome I want to go to six flags magic mountain
I love six flags I have been on almost all the rides
twisted colossus had me ducking my head because it looked like I was about to hit my head against the support beams
In my opinion sfmm has the best coaster lineup!
