@mase1116 that's badass about that tour--love both of those bands--they're so far ahead of their time--my great friend saw Khanate in Portland and he said Plotkin's bass while simply tuning it was rumbling the beer glasses.
@cheekymonkey1979 I couldn't say it better. that's what I love about this music and o'malley's touch, it has what it needs and nothing more and it's perfect that way
thats music dedicated to playing for specific emotions/situations. not sure if i agree with the high pitched vocals instead of low or music only, but they do still work.
@ub3r2008 dream theater? u are talking about the tyra banks of metal, dude khanate is so much more of an original thing--dream theatre is like metal with plastic impants
or maybe he's just used to listening to music that actually sounds like music as opposed to a cat scratching a distorted guitar with some dude screaming at it.
Dream Theater writes some of the gayest music on this planet, seriously. All they are is a bunch of music dorks who didn't make it in the 80's metal scene, so they brought it to the 90's, adding gay prog rock, pop, and opera influences in the process. Sure, they can play, but what they play sucks. If you can't understand or feel what Khanate did, I feel sorry for you.
Not only great, but one of the best bands ever. Those who don't know... Well, they just don't know.
if there is one thing on this planet you cannot fake, it is true passion.
the last 40 seconds gave me shivers...
This may be hard to swallow, but I like Dream Theater AND Khanate.
love this band, even more than sunn o)))... rest in peace
love it, thanks for posting!

@TheUberOmfg12333 Absolutely.
its fucking painful to listen to
yet i cant stop listening
how does o'malley keep such long notes?!
When did KHANATE DVD come out?
when does the song start?
@ansiaaa666 All you need is the right equipment, and the right attitude (that is, to let the music breathe and not add unnecessary shit).
Why are people talking of dream theater in a khanate vid? Prog metal vs Drone? hahaha.
we played much more slowlier back in 1993...
it's funny
we leave time behind back then...
получается мы опередили время. смешно.
What was your band called?
@@Shycartel great sorrow

Absolute manipulation of time.
RIP Khanate. RIP.
The only thing that can count as a song is after 7:20 i think...or maybe it's just the "singer" testing the mic..i dunno :S
