Smooth! I would totally get down for a lesson or two with you. I like the comparison of the hihat to another tom tom.

NOTHING!!!! HAHAHAHA.. I was waiting for someone to finally say this.. I'm very impressed by the idea of 'gospel chops' and am evenly impressed watching someone who execute them nicely. But one question I had always had in my mind.. WHAT ABOUT HI-HAT?? Reminds me of endless skipping of a leg day in gym.. :) But I take it.. it's not a rule and nobody HAS TO do that.. :) It's just as I'm a bit older school and ala D.Weckl sticking the Hats to whatever I play, I immediately noticed how few do play at least the quarter note to their gospel chops. Nonetheless cool concept to learn from over all. Thanks for your vids!

What's the exercise video you were talking about? Where can we find that? Thanks for this!

PracticeVlog That's a Paiste 19" Signature Dark Energy. Best sounding crash in the universe, man. Actually, scratch that. The 17" Dark Energy is best. The 19" is a solid second. ;)
