Hi friends! We could simply refer to these 3 Deauville tote sizes as S, M, L and that would be simple and straightforward, right? Instead, Chanel is keeping us all on our toes by calling them the small, “new small” and then large. 🤪 And of course, the description on the tags don’t correspond at all! 😂 It’s rather confusing, but I do hope this video will be helpful in some way. Great video. You might want to add the item codes for the two different sizes since that’s the best way for people to know which size they’re getting. They have two different product codes (yours is AS3351) so that would be helpful for people.

Mystery solved! And you’re so right about the chain straps. I think the slightly larger small is better for my frame since it sits lower. The top handles of the smaller small would bother me if the straps are shorter. Thank you for updating us

My chanel SA always go by serial number instead of the dimensions or the size name. The tags you show for the $3.7k is AS3257. And the $3.8k is AS3351.

Glad I found this video as I was so confused to mine says small, 23c for $3700. Then I was looking at some online and the dimensions were different. I saw your video and then I went into Chanel and asked if they had the 3800 small which they did not but overall I think I’m happy with the small, considering it was the only one I could find in the dark color besides the mustard great video thank you for sharing. Hello!! Can I check if a 14 inch laptop fits in your deauville tote? Am checking the measurements and thought it might be a squeeze. Thought of getting this for a work bag, so your inputs would be really helpful!! Thanks in advance!
My laptop runs 13” in length (14” diagonally) and it fits easily with a little room to spare. Just be sure to get this size and I think it’ll work for you. The slightly smaller size will be too tight. Hope this helps!

Over here, the SA will block and don't allow us to take. There's once where I tried to take a photo of a price tag info to kiv a particular bag for my reference but the SA 🚫 and said no photos!
They don’t like filming but photos are allowed at least in the nyc boutiques I go to. I’m also pretty discrete bc I don’t want to disrupt anyone else’s experience while shopping by there but this time I guess I was pretty obvious with my tape measure! 😂 Still, I worked very quietly. 🤫

I think you’d have to be extra careful with lighter colors bc this is fabric and can only be spot cleaned. But if you love a certain color and will get a lot of use out of it, I say go for it! Bags are meant to be used and enjoyed, right? 😉

That powder pink would look so nice with your white outfit you wore when you went shopping w/ Charis, along with that pink scarf🤩 I feel Chanel could done a better job at labeling these bags, measurements matter to some. Like you, that shoulder strap drop would matter to me. Different measurements should get different description names on the label. Hi! I am trying to order the samorga organizer for the new small size retailed at 3800. Should I order the one for the new small size on the samorga website (32.5cm) or for the medium size (34cm). I am pretty sure I need to order the one for the medium size but I wanted to double check. Thank you!
Ok so I reached out to Zoomoni to ask about this and they said they haven’t made the new sizes yet. The ones on the website are the old Deauville sizes. So, I’m going to give them the measurements of my bag so they can create one and then they’ll list it. That’s what they did when I custom ordered an insert for my LV Speedy BB last year. For now, I’m just using my Zoomoni insert for the Longchamp le pliage tote but it’s not a perfect fit. All that being said, you may want to wait a few weeks!

Yes 100%. The cerf tote is beautiful and I had purchased it specifically to use as an office/work bag. However, not sure if you watched my update video - my work situation changed recently and now I work from home entirely. When one of my IG followers reached out asking me if I would sell her the tote bc she had been looking for one for a while, I figured it was meant to be and sold it to her for the price I bought it for. I hadn’t used it even once so it all worked out. This Deauville is more versatile for me - I can use it casually everyday but also use it for work down the road if I ever need to be back in the office. Hope that answers your question!

Chanel messed up the sizing in this one! I think they’re trying to rectify it by the confusing “old small” and “new small” terminologies and the confusing pricing. I feel sorry for the SAs who are trying their best to explain this away. I wonder what Chanel will mess up next?
