      no. the sign of the equation only changes when you divide or multiply with a negative number.

    MR. Organic Chemistry Tutor, thank you for another incredible video/lecture on How to Solve Linear Inequalities in Algebra One/Intermediate Algebra. All students must pay close attention to the signs when solving these problems. The less than/greater than or equal to sign changes when you divide by negative numbers.

    20:57 this is what i don't understand. don't you do pemdas in reverse when solving equations and inequalities? in doing so i got an answer of x < -5/4

      So 8a^13 is 8a

      Linear inequalities means single degree inequalities. x+2>y is a linear inequality, while (x^2)+2>y is simply an inequality.
